India ranked 2nd in EY renewable energy attractiveness index
India has moved up to the second spot from third position in this year's 'Renewable energy country attractiveness index' released by EY.
This is primarily due to a combination of strong government support and increasingly attractive economics, EY said in a statement.

भारत अक्षय उर्जा आकषर्क सूचकांक में इस साल तीसरे से दूसरे स्थान पर आ गया है। यह सूचकांक अर्न्स्ट एंड यंग ई वाई: ने जारी किया।
ईवाई ने एक बयान में कहा कि इसका मुख्य कारण देश में इस क्षेत्र के लिए मजबूत सरकारी समर्थन तथा अधिकाधिक आकषर्क हो रहा इसका अर्थशास्त्र है।

Kenyan, Ethiopian athletes win Riga Marathon
Joseph Kyengo Munywoki of Kenya won the men's race and Bekelech Dada Bedada of Ethiopia was the fastest woman at the Lattelecom Riga Marathon 2017.
Munywoki crossed the finish line with a time of two hours 12 minutes and 14 seconds, ahead of Ethiopia's Gadisa Shumie (2.13:09) and Duncan Cheruiyot Koech (2.14:13). Valerijs Zolnerovics, the best Latvian distance runner, finished fourth in the men's competition with a new national record.
केन्याई, इथियोपियाई धावकों ने जीती रीगा मैराथन
केन्याई धावक जोसफ किएन्गो मुनीवोकी ने जहां रीगा मैराथन के पुरुष वर्ग में खिताबी जीत हासिल की, वहीं महिला वर्ग में इथियोपिया की बेकेलेच दादा बेडडा ने जीत हासिल की।
मुनीवोकी ने इस मैराथन को दो घंटे, 12 मिनट और 14 सेकेंड में पूरा किया। पुरुष वर्ग में इथोपिया के गाडिसा शौमी (2,13:09) को दूसरा और डंकन चेरुयियोट कोएक (2,14:13) को तीसरा स्थान हासिल हुआ। इसके अलावा, लातविया के दिग्गज धावक वालेरिज जोल्नेरोविक्स चौथे स्थान पर रहे। उन्होंने एक नया राष्ट्रीय रिकॉर्ड बनाया।

SpaceX launches Inmarsat communications satellite
SpaceX has launched a communications satellite for Inmarsat, marking its first launch for the London-based mobile broadband company.
The satellite is the fourth in the company's Global Xpress (GX) constellation, aimed at providing high-speed mobile broadband service.

एयरोस्पेस निर्माता एवं अंतरिक्ष परिवहन सेवा क्षेत्र की निजी अमेरिकी कंपनी स्पेसएक्स ने लंदन की मोबाइल ब्रॉडबैंड कंपनी इनमारसैट के लिए एक संचार उपग्रह प्रक्षेपित किया है। इस कंपनी के लिए यह स्पेसएक्स का पहला प्रक्षेपण है।
यह उपग्रह इस कंपनी के ग्लोबल एक्सप्रेस समूह में चौथा उपग्रह है। इसका उद्देश्य तेज गति वाली मोबाइल ब्रॉडबैंड सेवा उपलब्ध करवाना है।
