The number of training seats mentioned above is provisional and may vary according to actual requirements of the Bank.
Note: - Candidates can apply for engagement in one state and one Zone within that State only
Abbreviations stand for:
SC – Scheduled Caste, ST – Scheduled Tribe, OBC – Other Backward Classes, EWS – Economically Weaker Section, GEN – General/ Unreserved Category, PWD – Persons with Disabilities/ Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, OC / VI / HI / ID – As mentioned in para B.IV (In the detailed notification)
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (as on 01.12.2025)
Candidates, intending to apply for above training seats should ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria specified by Bank:
I. Nationality / Citizenship:
A candidate must be a citizen of India.
II. Age and Educational Qualification (As on 01.12.2025):
Age:
Minimum : 20 years
Maximum : 28 years
The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.12.1997 and not later than 01.12.2005 (both days inclusive)
Educational Qualification:
The candidate must possess a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualifications recognized by central government. The candidate should have passed his/her graduation degree between 01.04.2021 and 01.12.2025.
Relaxation of Upper age limit:

NOTE:
(i) The maximum age limit specified in (II) above is applicable to General Category and EWS candidates.
(ii) Candidates seeking age relaxation will be required to produce the original and have to submit copies of necessary certificate(s) at any subsequent stage of the engagement process as required by Bank.
A. Physical/ Medical fitness
Engagement of candidates as an apprentice is subject to his/ her being declared medically fit as per requirement of the Bank and/ or as prescribed in the Apprenticeship Rule 1992 and amendments made therein and producing of medical fitness certificate from a practicing registered general physician who should be minimum a MBBS.
B. Registration
Candidate need to register himself/ herself on apprenticeship portal of National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) https://nats.education.gov.in managed by Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT). However, while applying for apprenticeship in the Bank, candidate shall have to possess his/her Enrolment id (issued by NATS portal)
C. Other Condition
Candidates can apply for engagement in only one state and choose only one zone under that state.
The Candidate should not have undergone Apprenticeship either with Bank of India or in any other organization earlier or pursuing the Apprenticeship Training as per the Apprentices Act 1961 as amended time to time or terminated in between the course of Apprenticeship training due to the fault of candidate himself/ herself.
Candidate, who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more after completing the educational qualifications, shall not be eligible for being engaged as Apprentice.
Bank has right to post apprentices in any Branch/ Offices within the state from which he/ she belongs to as per Bank’s operational requirements.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Selection for engagement of apprentices would be based on the basis of (i) online written test and (ii) test of local language
ONLINE EXAMINATION:
The structure of online examination will be as under:

Bank reserves the right to modify the structure of the examination which will be intimated through its official website.
The Total duration of examination would be 90 minutes.
The above tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi. The test of English Language will be of qualifying nature i.e. Marks obtained in English Language will not be added while preparing merit List. The minimum qualifying marks in English, General/ Financial awareness, Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude and Computer Knowledge will be decided by Bank at its sole discretion.
Qualifying marks stipulated above are for General/EWS Category candidates. Candidates belonging to the Category SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD, filling in vacancies
reserved for the relevant category, will be entitled to a relaxation of 5% marks in relation to that stipulated for general category candidates.
TEST OF LOCAL LANGUAGE
The candidate applying for vacancies of a particular state, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in any one of the local languages of that state (to be specified at the time of calling the applications). The test of local language will be conducted after qualifying the online written examination. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged for apprenticeship. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.
STIPEND/ BENEFIT:
The apprentices are eligible for stipend of Rs.13,000/- (Rupees Thirteen Thousand only) per month for the engagement period of one year. The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/ benefits.

Bifurcation of Stipend amount is as follows:

The above stipend will be credited in the Saving Bank Account of apprentices each month after adjusting unauthorised leaves, if any. Government share of Rs. 4,500/- will be directly credited to the apprentices DBT enabled Bank Account registered with NATS Portals through Direct Beneficiary Transfer (DBT) mode as per extent guidelines.
Engagement type:
Apprentice Trainee. This is neither an employment in the Bank nor a contract employment in the Bank. Please note that the candidates engaged as Apprentices will only be a “Trainee” and will NOT be treated as “employees/ worker” of Bank of India and will not be entitled to receive any benefits which are available for the Regular employees of the Bank or for the Contractual employees of the Bank. The provision of any law with respect to labour shall not apply to or in relation to such apprentice.
Period of engagement:
Period of engagement shall be restricted to One Year Apprenticeship Training Programme as per the provisions of the Act. Apprenticeship period shall not give the
apprentice any lien/ right on permanent employment and consequential benefits with the Bank. Bank may also issue certificate to candidate upon the successful completion of Apprenticeship.
Assessment and Joint Certification:
Successful Apprentice, will be issued a proficiency certificate by Board of Apprentice Training (BOAT) and the Certificate will be uploaded on the NATS portal. The certificate will be available on portal based on rules and regulation of BOAT as declared time to time.
Final Selection:
Final selection of the candidates for apprenticeship will be subject to meeting the cut-off marks in the online examination to be decided by the bank, satisfactory verification of the documents/ information furnished in the online application at the time of pre-engagement formalities, qualifying the test of local language of the state and candidate being found medically fit. Merit List shall be drawn state wise and category wise. Candidates qualified in the test are to be placed according to their marks obtained in online examination in descending order in respective States and Categories.
If the marks obtained in the online exam are equal, then the merit order will be on the basis of Date of Birth i.e. Candidate senior by age will be placed higher in the merit List.
HOW TO APPLY
I. All applicants will have to apply online for “Apprenticeship with Bank of India” from 25.12.2025 to 10.01.2026 by clicking the link https://nats.education.gov.in (the apprenticeship portal).
II. Candidates should mandatorily first register themselves, if eligible, in the Apprenticeship portals of Government of India viz. NATS portal https://nats.education.gov.in (Navigate to the “Student Register/Login” section)
III. Those registered on NATS portal will have to go to https://nats.education.gov.in/student_type.php and login into the portal using their user id and password. After login into the portal the candidate has to apply for Apprenticeship as per the Advertisement published by “Bank of India” by going to the section “Apply against advertised vacancies”
IV. The candidates who are eligible as per the apprenticeship notification of Bank of India would receive an email from info@bfsissc.com within 48 Hrs of applying the application on NATS portal, inviting them to fill the final “Application cum Examination Fee Form” wherein the candidate will have to provide his/her personal data, choice of zone, category, PWBD status and make online payment of the requisite examination fee
V. It is very IMPORTANT for all candidates who have applied to MAKE NOTE of their Enrolment Id (issued by NATS portal)
VI. In case the candidates are facing issues in getting themselves registered they are advised to go through the help manual available on the NATS portal. The link for accessing the manual is given below:

VII. The candidates who successfully make the examination fee payment would receive an email from info@bfsissc.com with a copy of his/her “Application cum Examination Fee Form” filled by the candidate, within next 48 Hrs of making the online payment of the examination fee.
VIII. The process of Registration of application will be considered complete only when application fee is deposited with BFSI SSC. Candidates are requested to note down the acknowledgement number and keep a copy of application form for their future reference.
Candidates can apply their primary online application only through NATS Portal https://nats.education.gov.in from 25.12.2025 to 10.01.2026 and no other mode of primary application will be accepted
APPEARING IN THE EXAMINATION:
I. All applicants who have paid the examination fee will receive intimation from BFSI SSC with date and timing of the examination.
II. All applicants will have to give the online examination on the given date and time using their own front camera enabled desktop or laptop or tablet or smart phone.
III. All applicants will have to display the same ID Proof which they have uploaded on the apprenticeship portal.
IV. Except for PWBD candidates, no candidates will be allowed to have any one else near him/her while giving online examination. The guidelines for the same shall be provided by BFSI SSC.

APPLICATION FEES/ INTIMATION CHARGES (NON REFUNDABLE)
Application/ Intimation fee to be remitted by all eligible applicants only on demand by BFSI SCC (scrutinizing/ examining body) deputed by the Bank is as under (GST will be charged on application fee as applicable):

Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/ intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate
All candidates who are finally selected will receive an email communication from BFSI SSC.
Candidates are advised to regularly visit the Bank’s official website for updates/ notices/ instructions. All announcements/ addendum/ corrigendum/ details pertaining to this process will be only published / provided on Bank’s official website www.bankofindia.bank.in from time to time under Career section. No separate communication/ intimation will be sent to the candidates who are not selected/ shortlisted in the process. All notification/ communication placed on Bank’s website shall be treated as intimation to all candidates who have applied for the process.
Merely satisfying the eligibility criteria norm does not entitle the candidate to be called for Examination/ Engagement process. Candidates shall be required follow all guidelines for online examination as informed on the Bank’s website.
The Bank reserves the right to reject any application/ candidature at any stage or cancel the conduct of examination or to cancel the engagement process entirely at any stage without assigning any reason.
