1.Trumpeted (Verb): घोषणा करना: to make known openly or publicly



Synonyms: announced, published, proclaimed



Antonyms: withheld, suppressed, concealed



Example Sentence:We trumpeted our triumph all over the college.



2-Curtail(Verb): घटाना : To reduce



Synonyms: Lessen , Diminish



Antonyms: Increase , Lengthen



Example Sentence: I had to curtail my answer as I was running out of time.



3-Confrontation (Noun): मुठभेड़ / टकराव : A fight or an argument



Synonyms: Conflict , Collision



Antonyms: Calm , Peace



Example Sentence: Confrontation with parents is a common reaction for adolescents.



4-Travesty(Noun) : भद्दा मज़ाक / विकृत रूप: A cheap mockery, usually of something or someone serious



Synonyms: Distortion , Perversion



Antonyms: Seriousness , Solemnity



Example Sentence: This trial has proved to be a travesty of justice.



5-Whimsy(Noun): खिलंदड़पन, विचित्र कल्पना, मनमौजीपन : Playfully quaint or fanciful behavior or humor



Synonyms: Fanciful , Playfulness



Antonyms: Boring , Serious



Example Sentence: The designer's new line showed a touch of whimsy

6-Accentuate (Verb) : जोर देना: To emphasize something or make something easier to notice



Synonyms: Highlight , Spotlight



Antonyms: Weaken



Example Sentence: She uses make-up to accentuate her beautiful eyes.

 


7. Disincentive (Noun): something that makes people not want to do something or not work hard

 

Synonyms: deterrent, discouragement, impediment

 

Antonyms: incentive, motivation, impetus, encouragement

 

 Example Sentence: Punishments serve as a disincentive, attempting to deter people from doing things they shouldn’t.

 

8. Apprehension (Noun) : भयanxiety or fear that something bad or unpleasant will happen

Synonyms: dread, fearfulness, anxiety, worry

 

Antonyms: confidence, calmness, certainty

 

 Example Sentence:I am feeling a great deal of apprehension after learning that we have a test tomorrow in my worst subject.

 

9. Decry (Verb): निंदा: publicly denounce; to criticize something as  bad, without value, or unnecessary

 

Synonyms: criticize, denigrate, denounce, condemn

 

Antonyms: applaud, laud, praise, extol

 

 Example Sentence: Several religious organizations have chosen to decry the obscene cartoon about Jesus.

 

10. Salient (Adjective): महत्त्वपूर्ण: noticeable or important

 

Synonyms: remarkable, prominent, striking

 

Antonyms: subtle, unremarkable, obscure

 

 Example Sentence:  She began to summarize the salient features/points of the proposal
