1. Rajiv Anand has been appointed MD and CEO of IndusInd Bank for
a term of 3 years. Anand is an experienced banker who recently completed three
terms as deputy MD at Axis Bank. IndusInd Bank was one of the nine banks that
received a banking license in 1994. It was started by SP Hinduja along with
hundreds of NRIs and other shareholders. IndusInd Bank was inaugurated on 17
April 1994 by the then Union Finance Minister Manmohan Singh.

2 AIFF
and FIFA have launched India's first FIFA Talent Academy for girls. The academy
is located at the Gachibowli Stadium Complex in Hyderabad, Telangana. It was
launched through a MoU signed during the Telangana Sports Conclave. The academy
is part of FIFA's Talent Development Scheme (TDS). It aims to promote women's
football in India with world-class training.

3. India will handle 241 million air passengers in 2024 and become
the fifth largest aviation market in the world. This represents a growth of
11.1% compared to 2023 (211 million passengers). India has overtaken Japan (205
million passengers) in the global rankings. It is now behind only the US,
China, the UK and Spain in terms of air traffic volume. The Mumbai-Delhi air
route is the seventh busiest air route in the world with 59 million passengers.
भारत 2024 में 24.1 करोड़ हवाई यात्रियों को संभालेगा और
वाव का पाँचवाँ सबसे बड़ा विमानन बाज़ार बन जाएगा। यह 2023 (21.1 करोड़ यात्री) की
तुलना में 11.1% की वृद्धि दर्शाता है। वैश्विक रैंकिंग में भारत ने जापान (20.5
करोड़ यात्री) को पीछे छोड़ दिया। अब हवाई यातायात की मात्रा के मामले में यह केवल
अमेरिका, चीन, ब्रिटेन और स्पेन से पीछे है। मुंबई-दिल्ली हवाई मार्ग 59 लाख यात्रियों के
साथ विश्व का सातवाँ सबसे व्यस्त हवाई मार्ग है।
4. Western
Railway has resumed operations of a 9.5 km metre-gauge heritage train. The
route is on the Patalpani-Kalakund line in Madhya Pradesh. The line originated
in the 19th century, envisioned by Maharaja Tukoji Rao Holkar II (1844-1886).
Originally part of the Holkar State Railway, it was merged into the Rajputana-Malwa
Railway in 1881-82.
पश्चिम रेलवे ने 9.5 किलोमीटर मीटर-गेज हेरिटेज ट्रेन का
परिचालन फिर से शुरू कर दिया है। यह मार्ग मध्य प्रदेश में पातालपानी-कालाकुंड
लाइन पर है। इस लाइन की शुरुआत 19वीं शताब्दी में हुई थी,

परिकल्पना महाराजा तुकोजी राव होल्कर द्वितीय (1844-1886) ने की थी। मूल रूप से
होल्कर स्टेट रेलवे का हिस्सा रही इस ट्रेन का 1881-82 में राजपूताना-मालवा रेलवे
में विलय कर दिया गया था।
5. Former Jammu and Kashmir
Governor Satyapal Malik died at the age of 79 after a prolonged illness. He
played a key role in the repeal of Article 370 in 2019, which ended the special
status of Jammu and Kashmir. He started his political career in the 1970s with
the Bharatiya Kranti Dal led by Charan Singh. He was elected to the Uttar
Pradesh Assembly from Baghpat in 1974.
जम्मू-कश्मीर के पूर्व राज्यपाल सत्यपाल मलिक का लंबी बीमारी
के बाद 79 वर्ष की आयु में निधन हो गया। उन्होंने 2019 में अनुच्छेद 370 को निरस्त

6. IDFC FIRST Bank has launched a new
digital remittance platform, RemitFirst2India. It aims to help non-resident Indians
(NRIs) transfer money safely and quickly to India. It offers zero transfer fees
and live transaction tracking. IDFC FIRST Bank NRIs can use the mobile banking
app to remit money. Non-customers can use a paperless web portal to register
and send money.

7. Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi inaugurated the
Indian Army Research Cell 'AgniShodh' at IIT Madras, which aims to transform
academic research into defence-ready technologies. The centre supports the five
pillars of Army's transformation and focuses on self-reliance under the vision
of "Empowerment through Indigenisation".

8. Union Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Rajiv Ranjan Singh
announced that India has consolidated its position as the world’s second
largest fish producer, and is now behind only China with an 8% share in global
fish production. The fisheries sector in India plays a vital role in the
country’s economy, contributing about 1.12% to the total national Gross Value
Added (GVA) and 7.26% to the agricultural GVA.

मत्स्य पालन एवं जलीय कृषि मंत्री राजीव रंजन सिंह ने घोषणा की कि भारत ने दुनिया
के दूसरे सबसे बड़े मछली उत्पादक के रूप में अपनी स्थिति मजबूत कर ली है,

9. South Africa Champions won the title of World Championship of
Legends (WCL) 2025. The final took place at Edgbaston, Birmingham. AB de
Villiers played a match-winning innings to lead the team to a 9-wicket win over
Pakistan Champions. This was the second edition of the WCL tournament.

10. Magnus Carlsen won the first Chess eSports World Cup (EWC
2025). The tournament was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Carlsen represented
Team Liquid and defeated Alireza Firouzja of Team Falcons. Carlsen dominated
both classical and eSports-style formats. He won the top prize of $250,000 and
helped Team Liquid top the overall table.
