1. SC clarified that there is no impediment in increasing the retirement age of district judges to 61 years and asked the Madhya Pradesh High Court to take an administrative decision on increasing the retirement age within 3 months. A bench of Chief Justice B. R. Gavai and Justice A. G. Masih was hearing a petition filed by the Madhya Pradesh Judges Association.

2. In a first of its kind initiative for transportation of
perishable products from Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu Railway Division has
registered its first VP indent (request for allocation of a full parcel van for
shipment of goods) from Katra Railway Station to Bandra (Mumbai) for June 3.
This will reduce the burden of road traffic and perishable commodities like
cherries will be able to reach their intended markets with minimum damage or
deterioration in quality.

7. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the latest
auction of Government of India Treasury Bills (T-Bills) to raise ₹19,000 crore.
The government uses these short-term debt instruments to manage its immediate
financing and liquidity requirements, the central bank said in a press release
on May 23.

8. Central Bank will buy 24.5% stake in Future Generali Insurance
after getting all approvals Recently, this deal has got approval from the
Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). Earlier, the

approved the acquisition.
