1. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced
the squad for the upcoming Test series against England. Shubman Gill has been
named the 37th Test captain of Team India, while Rishabh Pant has been named
the vice-captain in Test cricket. Gill, at the age of 25, has become one of the
youngest players to hold the position.

3. It is a six-member body to regulate and monitor payment systems
in India. This new board will replace the earlier Board of Payment and
Settlement Systems Regulation and Supervision (BPSS) and for the first time, it
will include three nominated members of the central government. The PRB will be
headed by the RBI Governor.

10. On the occasion of International Yoga Day 2025, Swami Vivekananda
Cultural Centre, Colombo in collaboration with the Faculty of Indigenous
Medicine organised a yoga session for Ayurveda students at Gampaha
Wickramarachchi University. Established in 1929 by Pandit G.P. Wickramarachchi,
the university became a university in March 2021.
