Obituary - Kollam Ajith
Malayalam actor Kollam Ajith passed away recently. He was 56.
Kollam Ajith made his silver screen debut with Padmarajan’s 1983 film Parannu Parannu Parannu. While the actor was mostly seen in villainous and supporting roles, he played the lead role in 1989 film Agnipravesham. Some of his best-known films are Yuvajanotsavam, Nadodikkattu, No.20 Madras Mail, Nirnayam, Aaraam Thampuran, Olympiyan Anthony Adam and Valliettan among others. Besides his stint in the Malayalam film industry, the actor also starred in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films.

BAFTA nomination for Anupam Kher
Veteran actor Anupam Kher has secured a nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category at the British Academy Television Awards 2018 for his role in the drama The Boy with the Topknot. The show, which aired on BBC Two last year, is based on a critically acclaimed memoir of the same name by U.K. journalist Sathnam Sanghera.
Also starring Sacha Dhawan and Deepti Naval, it follows a boy growing up in Wolverhampton in a traditional Punjabi family. Kher and Naval plays the parents of the protagonist.
बाफ्टा में नॉमिनेट हुए अनुपम खेर
अनुभवी अभिनेता अनुपम खेर ने द बॉय विद द टॉपनॉट नाटक में अपनी भूमिका के लिए ब्रिटिश अकादमी टेलीविजन अवार्ड्स 2018 में सर्वश्रेष्ठ सहायक अभिनेता वर्ग में नामांकन प्राप्त किया है। पिछले साल बीबीसी पर प्रसारित इस शो, यूके के पत्रकार सत्नाम संघेरा द्वारा एक उस ही नाम के संस्मरण पर आधारित है जिसे समीक्षकों द्वारा प्रशंसित भी किया गया है।
इसके अलावा साचा धवन और दीप्ति नवल ने भी इस नाटक में महतवपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई थी| यह एक पारंपरिक पंजाबी परिवार में वूल्वरहैम्प्टन में एक लड़के की कहानी है। खेर और नवल ने नायक के माता-पिता की भूमिका निभाई थी।
