Sufi singer Pyarelal Wadali passed away.
Pyarelal Wadali, the one half of famous Punjabi Sufi singing duo Wadali Brothers, died of heart attack. He was 75.
Wadali with his elder brother Puran Chand Wadali sang popular hits such as 'Tu maane yaa na maane' and Tanu Weds Manu's 'Rangrez mere'.
The singer is survived by wife, two sons and three daughters.
Wadali was honoured with several state and national level awards along with his elder brother.

वड़ली को उनके बड़े भाई के साथ कई राज्य और राष्ट्रीय स्तर के पुरस्कारों से सम्मानित किया गया था।
Scientists discover antibiotic-producing bacterium.
A species of a bacterium that produces antibiotic has been discovered by a professor in the University of Hyderabad (UoH) and his researchers. The new bacteria would also clean up ammonia waste, a growing environmental concern.
The bacterium was discovered by Venkata Ramana, Professor and Head, Department of Plant Sciences, School of Life Sciences, UoH and his researchers, it said.
Scientists have been striving hard to find drugs to overcome the challenge of antimicrobial resistance in the wake of disease-causing germs failing to respond to even the most potent antibiotics, it said.
The discovery was published in the latest issue of the scientific publication, `Journal of Antibiotics. The bacteria are called as "Anamox (Anaerobic ammonia oxidising) bacteria.
The senior professor said he and his team have been working to identify the chemical nature of the antibiotic and the spectrum of antibiotic.
The team included researchers from Bacterial Discovery Laboratory, Centre for Environment, Institute of Science and Technology, JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University), Hyderabad and UoH.

Anjum Moudgil wins silver in Women’s Rifle 3 positions at ISSF World Cup
Indian shooter Anjum Moudgil clinched a silver medal in the women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions event at the ongoing ISSF World Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico.
It was Anjum’s first World Cup medal as she battled windy conditions to shoot 454.2 in the 45-shot final to finish behind former junior world champion China’s Ruijiao Pei (455.4). Another Chinese Ting Sun claimed bronze, finishing with a score of 442.2.
This was India’s eighth medal in the competition and the first silver after having won three golds and four bronze medals already, for their best ISSF World Cup performance by far.
India thus remained on top of the medals tally with eight medals, while China is in second with two gold, two silver, one bronze.
भारतीय निशानेबाज अंजुम मुदगिल ने मेक्सिको के गुआदालाजारा में चल रहे आईएसएसएफ विश्व कप की महिला 5 मीटर राइफल थ्री पाजीशंस स्पर्धा में रजत पदक अपने नाम किया।

The BJP-Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) combine swept to power in the state last week, ending 25 years of uninterrupted rule of the CPI(M)-led Left Front. The BJP won 35 of the 59 seats that went to polls in Tripura, ousting the CPI(M) which won only in 17 Assembly constituencies.
