Anjum Moudgil wins silver in Women’s Rifle 3 positions at ISSF World Cup
Indian shooter Anjum Moudgil clinched a silver medal in the women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions event at the ongoing ISSF World Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico.
It was Anjum’s first World Cup medal as she battled windy conditions to shoot 454.2 in the 45-shot final to finish behind former junior world champion China’s Ruijiao Pei (455.4). Another Chinese Ting Sun claimed bronze, finishing with a score of 442.2.
This was India’s eighth medal in the competition and the first silver after having won three golds and four bronze medals already, for their best ISSF World Cup performance by far.
India thus remained on top of the medals tally with eight medals, while China is in second with two gold, two silver, one bronze.

यह भारत का टूर्नामेंट में आठवां पदक है और तीन स्वर्ण और चार कांसे जीतने के बाद यह पहला रजत पदक है। भारतीय निशानेबाजों का यह आईएसएसएफ विश्व कप में अभी तक का सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन है।
भारत इस तरह पदक तालिका में आठ पदकों से शीर्ष पर बना हुआ है जबकि चीन दो स्वर्ण, दो रजत और एक कांस्य पदक से दूसरे स्थान पर है।
Biplab Deb to take oath as Tripura CM.
Biplab Kumar Deb will take oath as the chief minister of Tripura at the Assam Rifles ground which will officially usher in the first BJP government in the Left bastion. PM Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and chief ministers of BJP-ruled states in the northeastern region have been invited to attend the ceremony.
Chief Minister-designate Biplab Deb announced that the party's tribal leader Jishnu Debbarma will be the deputy chief minister.
The BJP-Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) combine swept to power in the state last week, ending 25 years of uninterrupted rule of the CPI(M)-led Left Front. The BJP won 35 of the 59 seats that went to polls in Tripura, ousting the CPI(M) which won only in 17 Assembly constituencies.

बिप्लब कुमार देब असम राइफल्स मैदान पर त्रिपुरा के मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में शपथ लेंगे, जिस से आधिकारिक तौर पर वाम गढ़ में पहली बीजेपी सरकार आ जाएगी। प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी, भाजपा अध्यक्ष अमित शाह और पूर्वोत्तर क्षेत्र में भाजपा शासित राज्यों के मुख्यमंत्रियों को समारोह में शामिल होने के लिए आमंत्रित किया गया है।
मुख्यमंत्री-नामित बिप्लब देव ने घोषणा की कि पार्टी के आदिवासी नेता जिष्णु देबब्रहम उपमुख्य मंत्री होंगे।
त्रिपुरा की भाजपा-स्वदेशी पीपुल्स फ्रंट ऑफ त्रिपुरा पिछले हफ्ते राज्य में सत्ता में आई, जिसने सीपीआई (एम) के वाम मोर्चा के निर्बाध शासन का 25 साल समाप्त कर दिया। भाजपा ने त्रिपुरा में 59 सीटों में से 35 सीटें जीतीं, सीपीआई (एम) को बाहर कर दिया, जिसने 17 विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में केवल जीत हासिल की।
