1. India has slipped by 10 positions to 112th, out of 159 countries and territories in the Economic Freedom Index. According to the Economic Freedom of the World: 2016 Annual Report, China, Bangladesh and Pakistan lagged behind India at 113th, 121st and 133th ranks respectively.
आर्थिक आजादी सूचकांक में भारत 159 देशों और क्षेत्रों की सूची में 10 पायदान फिसलकर 112वें स्थान पर आ गया है। वैश्विक आर्थिक आजादी- 2016 वाषिर्क रिपोर्ट के अनुसार इस सूची में चीन, बांग्लादेश और पाकिस्तान का स्थान भारत से भी नीचे क्रमश: 113वां, 121वां तथा 133वें नंबर पर है।
2. Indian Navy's most powerful destroyer warship 'Mormugao' landed into the ocean. The launch took place from the Mazagon yard in Mumbai. It would be inducted into Navy after two years.
भारतीय नौसेना का सबसे शक्तिशाली विध्वंसक युद्धपोत 'मोरमुगाओ' समंदर में उतरा। इसका जलावतरण मुंबई के मझगांव यार्ड से हुआ। यह दो साल बाद नौसेना में शामिल किया जाएगा।
3. Nadia Murad Basee Taha has been appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking.
नादिया मुराद बसी ताहा नामक एक इराकी युवती को मानव तस्करी के चंगुल से बचने वाले लोगों के सम्मान में संयुक्त राष्ट्र का सद्भावना दूत बनाया गया।
4. Baluchi-speaking people in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region and other parts of the world can now tune into AIR broadcast in the language through computers and mobile phones as India's public broadcaster launched multimedia webpage and mobile app of the service.
अफगानिस्तान-पाकिस्तान क्षेत्र और दुनिया के अन्य भागों में रहने वाले बलूच भाषी लोग अब कंप्यूटर और मोबाइल फोन के जरिए आकाशवाणी ट्यून कर सकते हैं। भारत के लोक प्रसारक ने इस सेवा के लिए मल्टीमीडिया वेबपेज और मोबाइल ऐप की शुरूआत की।
5. Managing director V K Sharma of Public Sector Insurance Company LIC has taken additional charge as chairman. He has replaced S K Roy.
सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की बीमा कंपनी एलआईसी के प्रबंध निदेशक वी के शर्मा ने चेयरमैन का अतिरिक्त कार्यभार संभाला। उन्होंने एस के राय का स्थान लिया।
6. Sports Minister Vijay Goel gave away Arjuna Awards to cricketers Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane. Rohit Sharma was given the Arjuna Award for the year 2015 and Ajinkya Rahane for 2016.
खेल मंत्री विजय गोयल ने क्रिकेटर अजिंक्य रहाणे और रोहित शर्मा को अर्जुन पुरस्कार से नवाजा। रोहित शर्मा को वर्ष 2015 और अजिंक्य रहाणे को वर्ष 2016 के लिए अर्जुन पुरस्कार दिया गया।
7. Soundarya Rajinikanth has been appointed as the Ambassador of the Animal Welfare Board of India. Besides this, she has also been made the member of this board.
सौंदर्या रजनीकांत को पशु कल्याण बोर्ड का एंबेसडर नियुक्त किया गया। इसके साथ ही उन्हें इस बोर्ड का सदस्य बनाया गया है।
8. Bengaluru-based Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Bollywood actors Katrina Kaif and Juhi Chawla are among recipients of the Priyadarshini Global Awards 2016 which will be presented on September 19. The awards are given to personalities and organizations for contribution in their respective fields.
बेंगलूरू स्थित भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संस्थान (इसरो) और बॉलीवुड अदाकारा कैटरीना तथा जुही चावला समेत अन्य को 19 सितंबर को प्रियदर्शिनी ग्लोबल पुरस्कार 2016 से सम्मानित किया जाएगा। यह पुरस्कार अलग-अलग क्षेत्रों में योगदान के लिए निजी शख्सियतों और संगठनों को दिए जाते है।
9. US has agreed to be a partner country in the 8th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit to be held from January 10 to 13 next year in Gandhinagar.
अमेरिका ने अगले साल जनवरी 10 से 13 तक गांधीनगर में होने वाले 8वें वाइब्रेंट गुजरात सम्मेलन में भागीदार देश के तौर पर शामिल होने पर सहमति जताई है।
10. Italy's Former President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi died. He was 95.
इटली के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति कार्लो अजेगलियो सियाम्पी का निधन हो गया। वह 95 वर्ष के थे।
11. The book 'His Bloody Project' authored by Graeme Macrae Burnet has been shortlisted for this year's Man Booker Prize.
ग्रीम मक्राए बर्नेट द्वारा लिखित पुस्तक 'हिज़ ब्लडी प्रोज़ेक्ट' को इस वर्ष के मैन बुकर पुरस्कार के लिए चयनित किया गया है।
