1. Tata Trusts and global food major Mars, Incorporated, signed an agreement to work for advanced agriculture development in India. Its aim is to address malnutrition and improve food safety in India.
टाटा ट्रस्ट्स और वैश्विक खाद्य कंपनी मार्स, इनकॉरपोरेटेड ने भारत में उन्नत कृषि विकास के लिए साथ में कार्य करने हेतु एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए। इसका उद्देश्य देश में कुपोषण की समस्या को समाप्त करना और खाद्य सुरक्षा को बढ़ाना है।
2. As a major initiative towards fast track implementation of Namami Gange Programme the first company of Ganga Task force Battalion was deployed at Garhmukteshwar, Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. Union Minister of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Uma Bharti said the Jawans of the Ganga Task force will be deployed on the banks of the river Ganga to ensure that industry and civilians do not pollute the river. The minister also launched Ganga Gram Yojana at Village Puth in Hapur district of U.P. 1600 villages situated along the banks of river Ganga will be developed under this scheme.
नमामि गंगे कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल के तहत थल सेना की मदद से बनायी गई गंगा वाहिनी बटालियन की पहली कंपनी की गढ़मुक्तेश्वर, हापुड़, उत्तर प्रदेश में तैनाती की गई। केन्द्रीय जल संसाधन, नदी विकास और गंगा संरक्षण मंत्री उमा भारती ने कहा कि गंगा वाहिनी के जवान गंगा के तट पर तैनात रहेंगे और यह सुनिश्चित करेंगे कि औद्योगिक इकाइयां और नागरिक गंगा को प्रदूषित ना करें। मंत्री ने उत्तर प्रदेश के हापुड़ जिले के ग्राम पुठ में गंगा ग्राम योजना की शुरूआत भी की। इस योजना के तहत गंगा के किनारे स्थित 1600 गांवों का विकास किया जाएगा।
3. Two Indian cities, Delhi and Mumbai, made it to the top-30 list of the World’s most powerful, productive and connected cities prepared by international real estate consultancy JLL (headquartered in Illinois, United States). The list is topped by Japan's capital Tokyo, which along with New York, London and Paris, make the top four ‘super cities’. India’s financial capital Mumbai has been ranked 22nd while the national capital Delhi is placed at 24th place in this list.

4. Mineral-rich but energy-deficient state of Jharkhand became the first state to sign a MoU with the Union Government for the ambitious Ujwal Discom Assurance Yojana (UDAY) scheme. UDAY is the financial turnaround and revival package for electricity distribution companies of India initiated by the Union Govt. with the intent to find a permanent solution to the financial mess that the power distribution is in.

5. Mary Barra has been appointed as Chairman of General Motors (GM), a US automobile manufacturer, with immediate effect. Mary Barra Barra succeeds Theodore Solso. Earlier, Barra was serving as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GM since January 2014.

7. Professional networking platform LinkedIn appointed Akshay Kothari as Country Manager for India, with immediate effect. India has one of the largest userbase for LinkedIn, which has more than 400 million members globally. Kothari replaces Nishant Rao, who quit the company in October last year.

8. Former Chief Justice of India S.H. Kapadia passed away in Mumbai. He was 68. He was Chief Justice of India from 2010 to 2012.
भारत के पूर्व मुख्य न्यायाधीश एस.एच. कपाडि़या का मुंबई में निधन हो गया। वह 68 वर्ष के थे। वह 2010 से 2012 तक भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश के पद पर सेवारत थे।
9. Pakistan and Sri Lanka have signed eight MoUs during Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's visit to Sri Lanka. Both the countries signed agreements on various sectors like defence, education, security, anti-terrorism, trade and science and technology.
पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री नवाज शरीफ की श्रीलंका यात्रा के दौरान पाकिस्तान और श्रीलंका ने आठ समझौता ज्ञापनों पर हस्ताक्षर किए। दोनों देशों के बीच रक्षा, शिक्षा, सुरक्षा, आतंकवाद-विरोधी, व्यापार और विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी सहित कई क्षेत्रों में समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए।
10. The government of Pakistan has declared its capital Islamabad as sister city of Minsk, the capital and largest city of Belarus. New avenues of cooperation in diverse fields including municipal cooperation and youth development cooperation will be opened between both the capitals.
पाकिस्तान सरकार ने यह घोषणा कर दी है कि पाकिस्तान की राजधानी इस्लामाबाद अब बेलारूस की राजधानी और उसके सबसे बड़े शहर मिंस्क की सिस्टर सिटी होगी। दोनों राजधानियों के बीच विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में सक्रिय भागीदारी होगी, जिनमें नगरपालिका निकाय और युवा विकास प्रमुख है।
