1. Former defence secretary R.K. Mathur sworn in as the eighth Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) by President Pranab Mukherjee at a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. As the CIC, Mathur will have tenure of about three years, till he attains the age of 65 years.
पूर्व रक्षा सचिव आर.के. माथुर ने दिल्ली में राष्ट्रपति भवन में आयोजित एक समारोह में राष्ट्रपति प्रणब मुखर्जी द्वारा आठवें मुख्य सूचना आयुक्त (सीआईसी) के रूप में शपथ ली। सीआईसी के पद पर उनका कार्यकाल करीब तीन साल तक का होगा जब वह 65 साल की उम्र तक पहुंच जायेंगे।
2. India's first urban yacht marina project, along with a residential area, will come up in Howrah on the banks of the Hooghly river. The project will cost around Rs. 250 crore. There will be berthing capability of upto 50 yachts. ‘Marina Grand’ is being constructed very close to the main city center of Kolkata.
भारत का पहला अर्बन याट मरीन प्रोजेक्ट हूगली नदी के तट पर हावड़ा में बनने जा रहा है। इसका निर्माण एक आवासीय क्षेत्र के साथ किया जा रहा है। इस परियोजना पर 250 करोड़ रुपए की लागत आएगी और इसकी क्षमता 50 याट लगाने की होगी। ‘मरीन ग्रैंड’ का निर्माण कोलकाता के मुख्य शहर केंद्र के बेहद समीप किया जा रहा है।
3. Russian President Vladimir Putin was named ‘Person of the Year’ for 2015 in Israel, according to a poll conducted by the Jerusalem Post. In second place was German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took third place in the survey.
जेरूसलम पोस्ट द्वारा किए गए एक सर्वेक्षण के अनुसार रूस के राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन को इजरायल में वर्ष 2015 का 'पर्सन ऑफ द ईयर' नामित किया गया है। सर्वेक्षण में जर्मनी की चांसलर एंगेला मर्केल दूसरे स्थान पर रहीं, जबकि इजरायली पीएम बेंजामिन नेतन्याहू तीसरे स्थान पर रहे।
4. Atul Sobti assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of state-owned power equipment maker Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL).
अतुल सोबती ने सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की बिजली उपकरण कंपनी भारत हैवी इलेक्ट्रिकल्स लिमिटेड (भेल) के अध्यक्ष तथा प्रबंध निदेशक (सीएमडी) का कार्यभार संभाल लिया।
5. India won the 2015 South Asian Football Federation Cup (SAFF Cup) by defeating defending champions Afghanistan by 2-1 in the finals. With this title win, India has now won the SAFF Cup 7 times.
भारत ने फाइनल मैच में गत चैम्पियन अफगानिस्तान को 2-1 से पराजित कर दक्षिण एशिया फुटबॉल फेडरेशन कप (एसएएफएफ कप) का वर्ष 2015 का खिताब जीत लिया। इस खिताबी जीत के साथ भारत ने यह खिताब अब तक कुल 7 बार जीता है।
6. Ardhendu Bhushan Bardhan (A.B. Bardhan), one of the pillars of the communist movement in India, passed away in Delhi at the age of 91. He was associated with the Communist Party of India (CPI) and was a widely respected politician. He headed the CPI for 16 years as its General Secretary.
भारत में कम्यूनिस्ट आंदोलन के प्रमुख स्तंभों में से एक अद्र्धेंदु भूषण बर्धन (ए.बी. बर्द्धन) का 91 वर्ष की आयु में दिल्ली में निधन हो गया। वे भारतीय कम्यूनिस्ट पार्टी (सीपीआई) से जुड़े हुए थे तथा उन्हें लगभग सभी राजनीतिक दलों से सम्मान प्राप्त था। वे 16 वर्षों तक सीपीआई के महासचिव रहे थे।
7. Veteran South Indian classical vocalist Sanjay Subrahmanyam was conferred with the 2015 Sangita Kalanidhi award. The prestigious award was conferred upon him by mathematician Manjul Bhargava at 89th annual conference of the Madras Music Academy in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
वरिष्ठ दक्षिण भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत गायक संजय सुब्रह्मण्यम को वर्ष 2015 के संगीत कलानिधि पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। यह पुरस्कार उन्हें प्रसिद्ध गणितज्ञ मंजुल भार्गव द्वारा तमिलनाडु स्थित चेन्नई में आयोजित वार्षिक 89वें मद्रास म्यूजिक अकैडमी के दौरान दिया गया।
8. The second edition of Premier Badminton League (PBL) kicked-off in Mumbai. 6 teams are participating in this edition of PBL, which is the biggest professional Badminton event in India. The main objective of PBL is to bring top Indian players along with International players on the same platform.
प्रीमियर बैडमिण्टन लीग (पीबीएल) के दूसरे संस्करण का शुभारंभ मुंबई में हुआ। पीबीएल, जोकि भारत का सबसे बड़ा प्रोफेशनल बैडमिण्टन आयोजन है, के इस दूसरे संस्करण में कुल 6 टीमें भाग ले रही हैं। पीबीएल का मुख्य उद्देश्य भारत के प्रमुख खिलाड़ियों को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बैडमिण्टन जगत की दिग्गज हस्तियों के साथ एक मंच पर लाना है।
9. The foundation stone for the new helicopter unit of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Tumakuru (Karanataka), where the government is investing over Rs. 5,000 crore for this new helicopter factory spread across 600 acres of land. This will be the first factory in India to indigenously assemble helicopters through its own innovations and technology.
हिन्दुस्तान एयरोनॉटिक्स लिमिटेड (एचएएल) की नई हैलीकॉप्टर निर्माण इकाई की आधारशिला प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने टुमकुरु (कर्नाटक) में रखी, जहाँ केन्द्र सरकार 5,000 करोड़ रुपए से अधिक के निवेश से यह 600 एकड़ में फैले हुए नये हेलीकाप्टर कारखाने को स्थापित कर रही है। यह संयंत्र देश का पहला ऐसा संयंत्र होगा जहाँ पूर्ण स्वदेशी तकनीकों और नवाचारों द्वारा अत्याधुनिक हैलीकॉप्टरों का निर्माण किया जायेगा।
10. State-owned Punjab National Bank has launched host of digital banking solutions including green PIN and enhancement of its mobile app. The bank launched mobile apps enabling the customer to locate PNB ATM with PNB ATM Assist. The Android app facilitates the customer to use GPS and reach the nearest PNB ATM. Green PIN facility was also launched under which customer can obtain duplicate PIN for debit card instantly through SMS request.
सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के पंजाब नैशनल बैंक (पीएनबी) ने हरित पिन और मोबाइल एप्प को उन्नत बनाने समेत कई डिजिटल बैंकिंग समाधान पेश किए। बैंक ने पीएनबी एटीएम एसिस्ट मोबाइल एप्प जारी किया है जिससे ग्राहक पीएनबी एटीएम का पता लगा सकते हैं। एंड्रायड एप्प की मदद से ग्राहक जीपीएस का उपयोग करेंगे और समीप के पीएनबी एटीएम पर पहुंच जाएंगे। पीएनबी ने ग्रीन पिन सुविधा भी पेश की है जिससे ग्राहक एसएमएस के जरिये तुरंत दूसरा पिन प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।
