1. Veteran Congress leader R K Dhawan passes away
Former Union minister and Indira Gandhi's close confidant R K Dhawan died. He was 81.
Rajinder Kumar Dhawan was a Rajya Sabha member and a private secretary to Indira Gandhi for a long time.
पूर्व केन्द्रीय मंत्री आर. के. धवन का निधन
पूर्व केन्द्रीय मंत्री और इंदिरा गांधी के विश्वासपात्र रहे आर. के. धवन का निधन हो गया। वह 81 वर्ष के थे।
इंदिरा गांधी के निजी सचिव रहते हुए, 1962 से 1984 तक धवन पर आरोप लगता रहा है कि वह प्रधानमंत्री तक पहुंचने वाली सूचनाओं को रोकते थे। आपातकाल (1975-77) के दौरान धवन इंदिरा गांधी के बेहद करीबी रहे।

विश्व के सर्वाधिक मिशेलिन स्टार वाले खानसामा जोएल रोबुचोन का निधन हो गया है। वह 73 वर्ष के थे।
4. Airtel, Telecom Egypt tie-up for global submarine cable systems to enhance network limit
Bharti Airtel and Telecom Egypt announced a strategic partnership through which the Indian firm will get the right to use sub-marine cable networks -- MENA and TE North, which stretches from Cyprus to France via Egypt.

6. Indian women's hockey team ranks ninth in world ranking
The Indian women's hockey team, which reached the quarter-finals in the World Cup held in London, has climbed one place to reach ninth rank in the latest rankings of FIH .
India, who lost to Ireland in the quarter-finals, was at the tenth position before the tournament. Now it is at ninth position with 1138 points.
World Cup winners Netherlands remains on top while England is on second place. Australia moved up two places to third and Argentina dropped one place to fourth.
भारतीय महिला हाकी टीम विश्व रैंकिंग में नौवें स्थान पर पहुंची
लंदन में हुए विश्व कप में क्वार्टर फाइनल तक पहुंची भारतीय महिला हाकी टीम एफआईएच ताजा रैंकिंग में एक पायदान चढकर नौवें स्थान पर पहुंच गई है ।
क्वार्टर फाइनल में आयरलैंड से हारी भारतीय टीम टूर्नामेंट से पहले दसवें पायदान पर थी । अब 1138 अंक के साथ वह नौवें स्थान पर है ।
विश्व कप विजेता नीदरलैंड शीर्ष पर बनी हुई है जबकि इंग्लैंड भी दूसरे स्थान पर है । आस्ट्रेलिया दो पायदान चढकर तीसरे और अर्जेंटीना एक पायदान गिरकर चौथे स्थान पर है ।
