- Veteran actress Sudha Karmarkar died. She was 84 years old.
- Sudha Karmarkar established 'Little Theater' in 1959 with the help of 'Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangha'.
- The Little Theater had presented the first Balatatti 'Madhumanjiri'.
- Sudhatai was born in 1934 in Mumbai. She graduated from Elphinstone College in Mumbai.
- She was honored with the Prabhakar Panshikar Rangbhumi Jeev Gaurav award in 2012 for conducting the Maharashtra State Cultural Operations Directorate.

Assam Govt, Ola Sign MoU For River Taxi Service In Guwahati
- The Assam government and cab aggregator Ola entered into a memorandum of understanding to pilot an app-based river taxi service in Guwahati.
- The river taxis will be
a machine-operated boats , which is touted to be faster and safer than conventional ones.
- Ola will pilot the high-speed taxis on Lachit Ghat and Machkhowa in Guwahati to North Guwahati across the river, bringing the commute time down by two to five minutes from 45 minutes by road.
