India, UK, US to collaborate on neglected diseases initiative
University students from India, the UK and the US will collaborate on a new first-of-its-kind research and development project aimed at discovering potential drugs for patients living with neglected diseases like kala-azar.
The 'Open Synthesis Network (OSN)' project between five universities was launched by non-profit research and development organisation Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi).

कालाजार जैसी उपेक्षित बीमारी के साथ जीने के लिये मजबूर मरीजों के लिये संभावित दवा खोजने के उद्देश्य से भारत, ब्रिटेन और अमेरिका के विश्वविद्यालयों के छात्र अपनी तरह के पहले शोध और विकास परियोजना के लिये मिलकर काम करेंगे।
गैर लाभकारी शोध और विकास संगठन ड्रग्स फॉर निगलेक्टेड डिजीजेज इनिशियेटिव :डीएनडीआई: ने इस हफ्ते पांच विश्वविद्यालयों के बीच ‘द ओपन सिंथेसिस नेटवर्क :ओएसएन:’ परियोजना शुरू की है।

Goa to launch two-wheeler ambulances
The Goa Health department is planning to introduce two-wheeler ambulances from July to help people meeting with accidents in tourist spots across the state.
Para-medics will ride the two-wheeler ambulances mounted with essential medical equipment which can reach the accident or casualty spots quickly, according to Health Minister Vishwajit Rane.
Such an ambulance service is already in place in Karnataka and Goa would be the second state to do so.
गोवा सरकार जुलाई से शुरू करेगी दो पहिया एंबुलेंस सेवा
गोवा के पर्यटन क्षेत्र में दुर्घटनाओं से निपटने के लिए जुलाई से गोवा स्वास्थ्य विभाग दो पहिया एंबुलेंस सेवा शुरू करने की योजना बना रही है।
स्वास्थ्य मंत्री विश्वजीत राणे के अनुसार पैरा चिकित्सक इस दो-पहिया एंबुलेंस को चलाएंगे, जो किसी भी दुर्घटना स्थल पर रिकार्ड समय में पहुंच जाएगा।
इस तरह की एंबुलेंस सर्विस पहले से ही कर्नाटक में काम कर रहा है, गोवा ऐसा करनेवाला दूसरा राज्य होगा।
