1. Belgium captain and Olympic silver medallist John-John Dohmen and Netherlands' Naomi van As won the International Hockey Federation's male and female Player of the Year (2016) awards respectively. 

बेल्जियम के कप्तान और ओलंपिक रजत पदक विजेता जान जान डोमैन और नीदरलैंड की नाओमी वान एस को अंतरराष्ट्रीय हाकी महासंघ ने वर्ष 2016 का क्रमशः सर्वश्रेष्ठ पुरूष और महिला खिलाड़ी के पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया।

2. Tata Group's Indian Hotels Company Ltd has elected N Chandrasekaran as the Chairman of its board of directors. 

टाटा समूह की इंडियन होटल्स कंपनी लि. ने एन चंद्रशेखरन को अपने निदेशक मंडल का चेयरमैन चुना।

3. The Government of India and the State of Sikkim signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) under the Scheme Ujwal DISCOM Assurance Yojana (UDAY), for operational improvement of the State’s Power Distribution Department. With the signing of MoU, the total number of States covered under UDAY has reached 22. 

भारत सरकार और सिक्किम ने उज्‍जवल डिस्‍कॉम एश्‍योरेंस योजना (उदय) के तहत राज्य के बिजली वितरण विभाग के परिचालन में सुधार के लिए समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर हस्‍ताक्षर किए। एमओयू पर हस्ताक्षर करने के साथ ही उदय के अंतर्गत आने वाले राज्यों की संख्या 22 हो गयी है।

4. The ninth BRICS Summit will be held in China's Xiamen city from September 3-5. 

नौंवा ब्रिक्स सम्मेलन तीन से पांच सितंबर को चीन के शियामेन शहर में आयोजित होगा।

5. Eminent Malayalam author M P Veerendra Kumar will be given the 30th Moortidevi award by Bharatiya Jnanpith organisation on March 4. 

प्रख्यात मलयाली लेखक एम पी वीरेंद्र कुमार को चार मार्च को भारतीय ज्ञानपीठ का 30 वां मूर्तिदेवी पुरस्कार दिया जाएगा।

6. Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin surpassed Kapil Dev to become the highest wicket-taker for India in a domestic Test season. 

भारतीय ऑफ स्पिनर रविचंद्रन अश्विन ने घरेलू टेस्ट श्रंखला में भारत की ओर से सर्वाधिक विकेट ले कर कपिल देव को पीछे छोड़ दिया है |

7. Former Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara became the second Asian, after Mahela Jayawardene, and 16th overall to feature in 1,000 matches across all forms of the game. 

पूर्व श्रीलंकाई क्रिकेटर कुमार संगकारा खेल के सभी रूपों में 1,000 मैचों को पूरा करने वाले महेला जयवर्धने के बाद दूसरे एशियाई, एवं विश्व में 16वें स्थान पर आ गए हैं |

8. The Haryana government has made it mandatory for all private schools to install solar systems. A special grant of ₹20,000 per kilowatt will also be given to the schools for installing solar power plants. 

हरियाणा सरकार ने सभी निजी स्कूलों को सौर प्रणाली स्थापित करना, अनिवार्य कर दिया है। सौर ऊर्जा संयंत्र स्थापित करने के लिए स्कूलों को 20,000 रुपये प्रति किलोवाट का एक विशेष अनुदान भी दिया जाएगा।

9. Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has been chosen as the brand ambassador for the government's cleanliness initiative Swachh Bharat Mission. 

बॉलीवुड अभिनेत्री शिल्पा शेट्टी को सरकार की साफ-सफाई की पहल 'स्वच्छ भारत मिशन' की ब्रांड एंबेसडर के रूप में चुना गया।

10. India beat Iran in the finals to win the Rollball World Cup 2017, both in Men's and Women's event. 

भारत ने पुरुषों और महिलाओं की स्पर्धा में फाइनल में ईरान को हरा कर रोलबॉल विश्व कप 2017 जीत लिया है |
