1 Citing a "Goldilocks moment" with growth at 8% and
inflation at 2.2%, the RBI cut the repo rate by 25 basis points to 5.25%. The
move is aimed at supporting economic momentum, as inflation is projected to
remain low. The SDF rate has been revised to 5.00%. The MSF rate and the Bank
Rate have been revised to 5.50%.

2 Fino had applied for an
SFB license in December 2023. The Reserve Bank of India said it has granted
in-principle approval to Fino Payments Bank Limited (FPBL) to convert into a
small finance bank (SFB). With this, Fino has become the first payments bank to
receive such approval. Under the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) 'on tap'
licensing guidelines for small finance banks, existing payments banks
controlled by residents and operating for at least five years are eligible to
apply.

7 The 11th India International Science Festival (IISF), showcasing
the progress and innovation of science in the country, is set to begin
tomorrow. The event will be held in Panchkula, Haryana, from December 6th to

IISF was launched in 2015 and has since grown into one of the largest science
