1-Conviction (Noun): दोषसिद्धि, प्रबल मत या आस्‍था: a formal declaration by the verdict or decision of a judge in a court of law that someone is guilty of a criminal offense; firmly held belief or opinion



Synonyms: judgement, sentence, assurance, belief



Antonyms: disbelief, distrust, skepticism



Example Sentence: She takes pride in stating her political convictions.



2. Penury (Noun): दरिद्रता: the state of being very poor; extreme poverty



Synonyms: misery, beggary, indigence, impoverishment



Antonyms: affluence, wealth, opulence, richness



Example Sentence: When Margot lost all her money gambling, her family was forced to live in penury.



3-Tantamount (Adjective) : बराबर : Equivalent in value, significance



Synonyms: equivalent, equal to, synonymous with



Antonyms: Different, Opposite



Example Sentence: His statement was tantamount to an admission of guilt.



4-UNANIMOUS (ADJECTIVE): (एकमत): united



Synonyms: like-minded, at one



Antonyms: divided



Example Sentence:



The doctors were unanimous in their diagnoses.


5. Altercation (Noun): विवाद: a noisy argument or disagreement, especially in public

 


Synonyms:
 dispute, quarrel, brawl, fight, skirmish



Antonyms: agreement, calm, harmony, peace, accord, concord



Example Sentence:  According to witnesses, the altercation between the two men started inside the restaurant.



6. Touchstone (Noun): कसौटी: an established standard or principle by which something is judged



Synonyms: 
criterion, standard, benchmark, metric, measure, yardstick

 


Antonyms: deviation, abnormality, exception


Example Sentence:  I used the essay that I received a perfect score on as a touchstone for the other essays I had to write later, so I could get a high score on them as well.


7. Bizarre (Adjective):विचित्र very strange and unusual



Synonyms:
 absurd, insane, odd, crazy



Antonyms: reasonable, realistic, normal, usual



Example Sentence: Everyone stared at the student who wore the bizarre outfit to school.


8. Blow the lid off (Idiom): पर्दाफाश करना: To expose something to the public, often something scandalous or deceptive


Synonyms:
 reveal, disclose, divulge



Antonyms: hide, conceal



Example Sentence: In 1989 they started an investigation that was to blow the lid off corruption in the police force.


9. Unremitting (Adjective): निरंतरgoing on and on without any interruptions



Synonyms: continuous, relentless, incessant



Antonyms: recurrent, intermittent, discontinuous



Example Sentence: With continuous efforts and unremitting struggle, nothing is impossible to conquer.
