1 The Indian Army successfully conducted Operation Akhand Prahar
in the desert terrain of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The exercise proved to be a
historic military exercise, testing cutting-edge warfare techniques,
multi-faceted coordination, and the capabilities of the newly formed Rudra
Brigade. Named after the form of Lord Shiva, Rudra, the new brigade is India's
first fully integrated all-arms combat formation. During Exercise Prachand, the
brigade impressively demonstrated its swiftness, strength, and coordination in
high-intensity warfare.

2 World Diabetes Day 2025 will be celebrated on November 14, the
birthday of Sir Frederick Banting, one of the discoverers of insulin. The theme
for 2025 is "Diabetes and Health." World Diabetes Day is the largest
global diabetes awareness campaign, organized by the International Diabetes
Federation (IDF) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Godrej Aerospace handed over India's
first human-rated Vikas engine to ISRO, marking a significant milestone for the
upcoming Gaganyaan human spaceflight mission. The engine powers the L110 core
stage of the LVM-3 rocket, India's heaviest launcher and the designated vehicle
to send astronauts into space. Godrej Aerospace has contributed to the PSLV,
GSLV, LVM-3, Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan and NISAR missions.

Mudh-Nyoma Air Force Station was inaugurated, strengthening India's forward air
capability with a 2.7-kilometer-long runway at an altitude of 13,700 feet, one
of the highest military runways in the world. Located 23 kilometers from the
Line of Actual Control, the station will support fighter jets, C-130J transport
aircraft, and helicopters, enhancing logistics, surveillance, and quick
reaction operations in Ladakh.

been elected to UNESCO's MAB Council (2025-2029), reflecting its global leadership
in sustainability and biodiversity. Established in 1971, the MAB Programme aims
to facilitate scientific research, innovation, ecosystem management, and the
meaningful integration of human and ecological systems. It was founded in 1945
and is headquartered in Paris, France. UNESCO recognizes cultural and natural
heritage sites around the world as World Heritage Sites.

been awarded the Blue Flag award again, reflecting their clean and
environmentally friendly beaches. The certification is awarded by the
Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), Denmark, and is based on 33
parameters for beach quality, safety, and environmental management. The
recognition helps promote Odisha's marine tourism.

17, from Nidadavole, Andhra Pradesh, has been selected from 150 candidates from
36 countries for a four-year astronaut training program (2026-2029) in Florida.
The training, conducted by Titans Space Industries, includes space flight simulation,
survival exercises, orbital mechanics, spacecraft systems, and zero-gravity
adaptation.

9. The National Democratic
Alliance (NDA) has won a landslide victory in Bihar, and Chief Minister Nitish
Kumar is set to return to power for a fifth consecutive term, as the alliance
won 202 of the state's 243 seats. The state recorded a historic 67.13% voter
turnout in the two-phase elections for the 243-member assembly, held on
November 6 and 11.

as the Chief Guest. The two-day 30th CII Partnership Summit, from November 14
to 15, 2025, is being organised by CII in partnership with the Department for
Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry,
Government of India, and the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The State of Andhra
Pradesh is hosting the Summit for the fourth time.
