ENGAGEMENT OF APPRENTICES IN BANK OF BARODA
UNDER THE APPRENTICES ACT, 1961 BOB/HRM/APPRENTICE/ADVT/2025/02
Bank of Baroda invites online applications from Indian citizens for engagement as apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 (as amended from time to time).

IMPORTANT TO NOTE
1. Candidates can apply for engagement as apprentice in one State/UT only.
2. While submitting the application, candidates must select up to three preferred training locations or centers from the list provided for their chosen State/Union Territory, as notified in the advertisement.
3. Training seat allotment will be strictly based on merit, applicant’s location preferences, and availability of training seats in the respective location/center. In cases where, based on the candidate’s merit, none of the preferred locations or centers have available apprenticeship seats, the Bank reserves the right to allocate the candidate to any other location or center within the applied State/Union Territory where vacancies exist. The selected candidates will be allotted to the State/Union Territory (UT) only for which they have selected at the time of submitting their application. Any requests for allotment to a different State/UT will not be considered under any circumstances. The decision of the Bank in this regard shall be final and binding on the candidate.
4. The Candidate should not have undergone Apprenticeship either with Bank of Baroda or in any other Establishment in past.
5. The Candidate should not have been terminated in between the course of Apprenticeship training with any Establishment due to reasons attributable to the candidate’s own fault.
6. The Candidate should not be pursuing the Apprenticeship Training with any Establishment as per the Apprentices Act 1961 as amended from time to time.
7. Candidates, who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more after completing the educational qualification, shall not be eligible for being engaged as Apprentice.
8. If selected for engagement, the candidate shall be required to submit a declaration/undertaking with respect to point no 4 to 7 at the time of Pre-engagement activities conducted by the Bank. Any violation or misrepresentation of the conditions stipulated therein, if discovered at any stage including post-engagement, shall render the engagement liable for immediate termination without notice , and no stipend shall be payable for the period of such engagement. If any stipend has already been paid, the Bank reserves the right to recover the same, in accordance with law.
9. Detailed apprenticeship notification for the candidates interested in applying for apprenticeship with the Bank will be available on Bank’s website (https://bankofbaroda.bank.in/) and BFSI SSC’s website (https://bfsissc.com)
10. Candidates are required to first get themselves registered on the government apprenticeship portals https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and/or https://nats.education.gov.in to be eligible to apply online for the apprenticeship program of the Bank & to make payment of applicable fees through the link provided by BFSI SSC. No other mode of submission of application will be accepted by the Bank.
11. The process of Registration of application will be considered complete only when application fee is deposited with BFSI SSC. Candidates are requested to note down the acknowledgement number and keep a copy of application form for their future reference.
12. Before applying, candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria for the engagement as on the date of eligibility. Shortlisting / selection method will be purely provisional without verification of documents. Candidature will be subject to verification of details/documents as and when called by the Bank. Mere submission of an application does not confer any right of engagement as an apprentice. Final engagement shall be subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions, successful completion of selection formalities, and verification of documents to the satisfaction of the Bank.
13. All correspondence will be made only on the email ID mentioned by the candidate in their online application form and the same has to be kept active for receiving communication viz., intimation for Online Exam Dates and Language Proficiency Test, any advice etc.
14. Candidates are advised to check Bank’s official website (Current Opportunities) and BFSI SSC’s website (https://bfsissc.com) regularly for details and updates. All revisions/corrigendum/modifications (if any) will be hosted on the Bank’s and BFSI SSC’s website

Abbreviations stand for: SC - Scheduled Caste, ST - Scheduled Tribe, OBC - Other Backward Classes, EWS – Economically Weaker Sections, UR- Unreserved, PWBD - Persons with Benchmark Disability, OC-Orthopedically Challenged, HI – Hearing Impaired, VI- Visually Impaired, ID- Intellectually Disabled.
Applicants shall be required to indicate a maximum of three preferred centres/locations from among those notified within the State for which they are applying. Allotment of training seats shall be made strictly on the basis of merit, the preferences indicated by the applicant, and the availability of seats at the respective centres/locations. However, mere indication of preference shall not confer any right or entitlement to training at a particular centre/location. The Bank reserves the right to allot training seats at any of the notified centres/locations within the selected State, in accordance with administrative exigencies and the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961.

# For the candidates registered under National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), the date of passing their Graduation should not be more than 4 years preceding to the cut-off date (01.11.2025).
How to Apply
i. Candidates should mandatorily first register themselves, if eligible, in the apprenticeship portals of Government of India viz NATS portal https://nats.education.gov.in (Navigate to the “Student Register/Login” section) and NAPS portal https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in

iii. Those registered on NATS portal will have to go to https://nats.education.gov.in/student_type.php and login into the portal using their user id and password. After login into the portal the candidate has to apply for Apprenticeship as per the Advertisement published by “Bank of Baroda” by going to the section “Apply against advertised vacancies”
iv. Those registered on NAPS portal will have to go to https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/apprenticeship/opportunity and type “Bank of Baroda” in the section “Search By Establishment Name”. To view the Opportunity they have to click on “View” button and later click on “Apply for this Opportunity” Button to apply for the Apprenticeship Opportunity.
v. The candidates who are eligible as per the apprenticeship notification of Bank of Baroda would receive an email from info@bfsissc.com after completing the application on NAPS/NATS portal, inviting them to fill the final “Application cum Examination Form” wherein the candidate will have to provide his/her personal data, choice of location/centre, category, PWBD status and make online payment of the requisite examination fee.
vi. It is very IMPORTANT for all candidates who have applied to MAKE NOTE of their Enrolment Id (issued by NATS portal) and Apprentice Registration Code (issued by NAPS portal) for all the future correspondence. In case the candidates are facing issues in getting themselves registered they are advised to go through the help manual available on the respective apprenticeship portals. vii. The candidates who successfully make the examination fee payment would receive an email from info@bfsissc.com with a copy of his/her “Application cum Examination Fee Form” filled by the candidate.
viii. The process of Registration of application will be considered complete only when application fee is deposited with BFSI SSC. Candidates are requested to note down the acknowledgement number and keep a copy of application form for their future reference.
Selection Process:
Selection for engagement of apprentices would be based on the basis of i) Online Examination, ii) Document Verification iii) Test of local language of the State.
Online Examination:
The tentative structure of online examination (objective type) would be as follows.

There will be NO negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage mark on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon). Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be as decided by the Bank. Merit list will be drawn State wise and Category wise. Candidates qualified in the test will be placed in location/centre in order of their preference according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective States and Categories. In case more than one candidate scores same marks as cut-off marks in the merit list (common marks at cut off point) such candidate will be ranked in the merit list according to their age in descending order in respective States and categories.
The online examination conducted by BFSI SSC, will be remotely proctored, which means the candidates will be able to give their online examination, using a smart mobile phone / laptop / desktop / tablet (which has an operational front camera and microphone) from any location of their choice (including their own residence) where they can have access to absolute privacy and good stable Wi-Fi internet connection during the examination period.
The date of online test shall be advised separately. Other detailed information, if any, regarding the examination will be given in the information hand-out which will be provided by BFSI SSC / Bank before the online examination.
Subsequent to the online examination, the result of the candidates who have provisionally qualified for selection will be made available on the Bank’s and BFSI SSC’s website.
Document Verification
All the candidates applying for the apprenticeship with Bank of Baroda would be admitted to the written test provisionally on the basis of the information furnished by them in the online application. Their eligibility w.r.t. age/qualification/category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD), etc. will be determined only at the time of document verification after they qualify the written test.
Candidates will have to appear for the Document Verification at a centre (to be decided by the Bank) of the State/UT applied for, at his/her own expenses. Bank of Baroda will not reimburse or bear any travelling expenses that may be incurred by the candidate for attending the same. List of Documents to be produced at the time of Document Verification is mentioned at para 11.3. (In detailed notification)
Test of local language:
The candidates applying for training seats of a particular State/UT, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in any one of the specified local languages of that State/UT, as mentioned below.
The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted after qualifying the online examination.
Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged for apprenticeship. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet having studied the specified opted local language of the State/UT will not be required to undergo the language test.
Candidates will have to appear for the test of specified opted local language at a centre (to be decided by the Bank) of the State/UT applied for, at his/her own expenses. Bank of Baroda will not reimburse or bear any travelling expenses that may be incurred by the candidate for attending the said test.

Medical Fitness
Engagement of selected apprentices is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank.
Final Selection
Candidates are advised to note that the Final Selection will be subject to the following:
a. Meeting the eligibility criteria and other terms and conditions as specified in the advertisement.
b. Securing the minimum cut-off marks in the online examination, as determined by the Bank.
c. Successful verification of documents pertaining to Date of Birth, Category, Educational Qualifications, and other details provided in the online application.
d. Qualifying in the prescribed local language proficiency test of the respective State.
e. Being declared medically fit in accordance with the Bank’s requirements.
Wait-List
A State-wise and Category-wise Wait List of successful candidates will be published to address vacancies arising from non-acceptance or non-reporting by candidates selected in the First Merit List.
This Wait List shall remain valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of results for the current engagement of apprentices, or until the commencement of the next engagement exercise—whichever occurs earlier.
Job Profile:
This is neither regular employment in the Bank nor a contract employment in the Bank. Please note that the candidates engaged as Apprentice will only be “Trainee” and will NOT be treated as “employees” of Bank of Baroda and will not be entitled to receive any benefits which are available for the Regular employees of the Bank or for the Contractual employees of the Bank.
Contract of Apprenticeship
Candidates found suitable for engagement based on merit list shall be issued digital apprenticeship contracts through the government apprenticeship portals i.e. https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and/or https://nats.education.gov.in
Candidates receiving the digital apprenticeship contract from the Bank need to accept it on the respective portal(s) within a stipulated time/date as mentioned therein.
No candidate shall be engaged as an Apprentice or undergo apprenticeship training in any designated trade/optional trade unless and until he/she enters into Contract of Apprenticeship with the Bank and the same is approved by the Authorities of the respective Portals.
Stipend/ Benefit:
The apprentices are eligible for a stipend of ₹15,000/- per month during their engagement period of 01 (one) year. The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/ benefits.
* The Stipend will be paid to apprentices on completion of each month after adjusting Loss of Pay, if any
Assessment and Certification
At the end of the apprenticeship training, apprentices will need to go through final assessment test(s). Subsequently, on the basis of marks scored by the apprentices, an Apprenticeship Certificate will be issued.
Application fees
The candidates are required to pay the non-refundable application fee/Intimation charges irrespective of whether online test is conducted or not and even if the candidate is shortlisted or not for further process.
Candidates can make the payment of following requisite fees/intimation charges through the ONLINE mode only and no other mode of payment is acceptable:

Fee/ Intimation charges once paid will NOT be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other exam or selection.
GUIDELINES FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION:
i. Candidates can apply online, and no other mode of application will be accepted.
ii. Candidates should mandatorily first register themselves, if eligible, in the Apprenticeship portals of Government of India viz NATS portal https://nats.education.gov.in (Navigate to the “Student Register/Login” section) and NAPS portal https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in

iv. All candidates are supposed to remember their respective login id and passwords of the apprenticeship portals as applicable to them, as they will be repetitively visiting the apprenticeship portals for various activities till their completion of the Apprenticeship program.
v. For NATS portal, candidates can view the Apprenticeship Advertisement of “Bank of Baroda” after login into the portal by visiting https://nats.education.gov.in/student_type.php and for NAPS portal search for “Bank of Baroda” under “Search by Establishment Name” by visiting the link: https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/apprenticeship/opportunity . vi. All Candidates who have applied successfully for the Apprenticeship Opportunity/Advertisement on NATS / NAPS will receive an email from BFSI SSC (info@bfsissc.com) inviting them to give required details about the caste category, choice of locations/centres for their training, etc. and make the payment of the Application Fees as stated in Section 10.
vii. Candidates should scan their photograph, signature & documents as detailed under guidelines for respective apprenticeship portals.
viii. Candidates are advised to carefully fill in the online application themselves as no change in any of the data filled in the online application will be possible/ entertained at a later stage. Prior to submission of the online application, candidates are advised to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. No change is permitted after clicking on SUBMIT button. Visually Impaired candidates will be responsible for getting the details filled in/carefully verifying, in the online application and ensuring that the same are correct prior to submission as no change is possible after submission.
ix. The name of the candidate should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the certificates/ mark sheets. Any change/ alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
x. An online application which is incomplete in any respect and unsuccessful Application fee payment will not be considered as valid.
xi. Candidates shall also be required to submit supporting documents such as Date of Birth Proof, Graduation/Mandatory Qualification Certificate/s, Other Certifications, etc. at the time of registering on the apprenticeship portals or as and when advised by the Bank or BFSI SSC
xii. Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply online much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection / inability / failure to log on to the website on account of heavy load on internet or website jam
xiii. Bank of Baroda does not assume any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of aforesaid reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of Bank of Baroda.
xiv. Please note that all the particulars mentioned in the online application including Name of the Candidate, Category, Date of Birth, Address, Mobile Number, Email ID, Centre of Examination, etc. will be considered as final and no change/modifications will be allowed after submission of the online application form. Candidates are hence requested to fill in the online application form with utmost care as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained. Bank will not be responsible for any consequences arising out of furnishing of incorrect and incomplete details in the application or omission to provide the required details in the application form
