1 The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has set the Ways and Means Advances (WMA) limit for the central government at ₹50,000 crore for the second half of fiscal year 2025-26. WMA is a temporary advance provided by the RBI to the central, state, and union territories to manage mismatches between receipts and payments. The WMA facility helps governments meet short-term liquidity needs.

भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक (RBI) ने वित्त वर्ष 2025-26 की दूसरी छमाही के लिए केंद्र सरकार के लिए अर्थोपाय अग्रिम (WMA) की सीमा ₹50,000 करोड़ निर्धारित की है। WMA, RBI द्वारा केंद्र, राज्य सरकारों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों को प्राप्तियों और भुगतानों के बीच असंतुलन को प्रबंधित करने के लिए दिया जाने वाला एक अस्थायी अग्रिम है। WMA सुविधा सरकारों को अल्पकालिक तरलता आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति में सहायता करती है।

2   The RBI has announced a major change for no-frills account holders. Basic Savings Bank Deposit accounts will now have free digital banking access, including mobile and internet banking services. This move aims to promote financial inclusion across the country. Rural cooperative banks will be included in the Ombudsman scheme. BSBD account holders will not be eligible to open another savings bank account with that bank.

RBI ने नो-फ्रिल्स खाताधारकों के लिए एक बड़े बदलाव की घोषणा की है। बेसिक सेविंग्स बैंक डिपॉजिट खातों पर अब मुफ़्त डिजिटल बैंकिंग की सुविधा उपलब्ध होगी। इसमें मोबाइल और इंटरनेट बैंकिंग सेवाएँ शामिल हैं। इस कदम का उद्देश्य पूरे देश में वित्तीय समावेशन को बढ़ावा देना है। ग्रामीण सहकारी बैंक लोकपाल योजना में शामिल होंगे।बीएसबीडी खाते के धारक उस बैंक में कोई अन्य बचत बैंक खाता खोलने के लिए पात्र नहीं होंगे।

 3. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has approved an increase in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for all mandated Rabi crops for the 2026-27 marketing season. The largest increase in MSP is for safflower (Rs 600 per quintal) and for lentil (Rs 300 per quintal). The increases for rapeseed and mustard, gram, barley, and wheat are Rs 250 per quintal, Rs 225 per quintal, Rs 170 per quintal, and Rs 160 per quintal, respectively.

प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में आर्थिक मामलों की मंत्रिमंडलीय समिति ने विपणन सीजन 2026-27 के लिए सभी अनिवार्य रबी फसलों के न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य (एमएसपी) में वृद्धि को मंजूरी दे दी है। एमएसपी में सबसे ज़्यादा वृद्धि कुसुम के लिए 600 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल और मसूर के लिए 300 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल की गई है। रेपसीड और सरसों, चना, जौ और गेहूँ के लिए क्रमशः 250 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल, 225 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल, 170 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल और 160 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल की वृद्धि की गई है।

 4. Sir Creek, a 96-km-long tidal estuary between Gujarat's Rann of Kutch and Pakistan, has long been disputed due to differing interpretations of the maritime boundary. Singh said, "Even after 78 years of independence, the border dispute in the Sir Creek area continues. Its recent expansion of military infrastructure in areas adjacent to Sir Creek reflects its intentions. The Indian Army and Border Security Force (BSF) are protecting India's borders.

गुजरात के कच्छ के रण और पाकिस्तान के बीच 96 किलोमीटर लंबा ज्वारीय मुहाना, सर क्रीक, समुद्री सीमा की अलग-अलग व्याख्याओं के कारण लंबे समय से विवादित रहा है। सिंह ने कहा, "आज़ादी के 78 साल बाद भी, सर क्रीक क्षेत्र में सीमा विवाद जारी है। सर क्रीक से सटे इलाकों में उसके सैन्य बुनियादी ढांचे का हालिया विस्तार उसकी नीयत को दर्शाता है। भारतीय सेना और सीमा सुरक्षा बल (बीएसएफ) भारत की सीमाओं की रक्षा कर रहे हैं।

 5. Pandit Chhannulal Mishra, a legendary Hindustani classical singer and Padma Bhushan awardee, has passed away. He was 89 years old and breathed his last in Mirzapur. Pandit Mishra was a renowned singer of the Kirana Gharana and was known for bringing classical and devotional music to the masses. He was renowned for his Khayal, Thumri, Dadra, and Bhajan singing. In 2010, the Government of India honored him with the Padma Bhushan. He was also awarded the Yash Bharti Samman by the Uttar Pradesh government.

हिंदुस्तानी शास्त्रीय संगीत के दिग्गज गायक और पद्म भूषण से सम्मानित पंडित छन्नूलाल मिश्र का  निधन हो गया। वे 89 वर्ष के थे और मिर्जापुर में उन्होंने अंतिम सांस ली। पंडित मिश्र किराना घराने के प्रतिष्ठित गायक थे और शास्त्रीय व भक्ति संगीत को जन-जन तक पहुंचाने के लिए जाने जाते थे। वे खयाल, ठुमरी, दादरा और भजन गायकी के लिए प्रसिद्ध थे। 2010 में भारत सरकार ने उन्हें पद्म भूषण से सम्मानित किया था। इसके अलावा उन्हें उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा यश भारती सम्मान भी प्रदान किया गया था।

 6. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), led by Governor Sanjay Malhotra, announced its monetary policy for 2025. The repo rate was kept unchanged at 5.5%, and the policy stance was maintained as neutral. This decision was taken unanimously by all MPC (Monetary Policy Committee) members. The RBI raised its GDP growth forecast for FY26 to 6.8% (from 6.5%) and its CPI inflation forecast to 2.6% (from 3.1%), reflecting positive growth and controlled inflation.

भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक (RBI) के गवर्नर संजय मल्होत्रा के नेतृत्व में वर्ष 2025 की मौद्रिक नीति की घोषणा की गई। इस बार रेपो रेट 5.5% पर अपरिवर्तित रखा गया और नीति रुख को ‘न्यूट्रल’ बनाए रखने का निर्णय लिया गया। यह निर्णय सभी MPC (मॉनेटरी पॉलिसी कमिटी) सदस्यों द्वारा सर्वसम्मति से लिया गया।RBI ने FY26 के लिए GDP वृद्धि अनुमान को 6.8% (पहले 6.5%) तक बढ़ाया और CPI महंगाई पूर्वानुमान 2.6% (पहले 3.1%) किया, जो वृद्धि के सकारात्मक संकेत और नियंत्रित मुद्रास्फीति को दर्शाता है।

 7.  The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department was awarded the Global Tourism Award 2025 for excellence in promoting the state as a top tourist destination. The Global Tourism Awards are given by several organizations, such as the Tour Operators Association of India (TOAI), WTM London, and WYSE Travel Confederation, which recognize excellence and sustainable development in tourism across various sectors. The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) also presents awards such as the "Best Tourism Village" award, which promotes sustainable development in tourism.

 8. Lieutenant General Virendra Vats assumed charge as Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC). He succeeds Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh in the post. The NCC is India's premier youth development organisation, focusing on training in discipline, leadership and patriotism. The National Cadet Corps (NCC) was constituted under the National Cadet Corps Act, 1948 and came into existence on 15 July 1948.

लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल वीरेंद्र वत्स ने राष्ट्रीय कैडेट कोर (एनसीसी) के महानिदेशक का पदभार ग्रहण किया। वे इस पद पर लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल गुरबीरपाल सिंह का स्थान लेंगे। एनसीसी भारत का प्रमुख युवा विकास संगठन है, जो अनुशासन, नेतृत्व और देशभक्ति प्रशिक्षण पर केंद्रित है। राष्ट्रीय कैडेट कोर (एनसीसी) का गठन 1948 के राष्ट्रीय कैडेट कोर अधिनियम (National Cadet Corps Act, 1948) के तहत हुआ था और यह 15 जुलाई 1948 को अस्तित्व में आया था।

 9. Authorities are turning to technology to address the growing challenge of human-elephant conflict in Madhya Pradesh's Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. The "Gaj Rakshak" app was recently launched, inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on World Tiger Day in Bhopal. The app is now being used for real-time monitoring of elephants in the reserve.

मध्य प्रदेश के बांधवगढ़ टाइगर रिजर्व में मानव–हाथी संघर्ष की बढ़ती चुनौती का सामना करने के लिए प्राधिकरण तकनीक का सहारा ले रहे हैं। हाल ही में ‘गज रक्षक ऐप’ लॉन्च किया गया, जिसे मुख्यमंत्री मोहन यादव ने भोपाल में विश्व बाघ दिवस के अवसर पर INAUGURATE किया। यह ऐप अब रिजर्व में हाथियों की रीयल-टाइम निगरानी के लिए इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा है।

 10.  President Draupadi Murmu presented the Diamond Jubilee Silver Trumpet and Trumpet Banner to the President's Bodyguard (PBG) at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The event marked the completion of 75 years since the unit was designated as the President's Bodyguard in 1950, and honoured its illustrious service, traditions and professional skills. The PBG is the oldest regiment of the Indian Army, having been raised in 1773 at Banaras (Varanasi) by Governor-General Warren Hastings as the Governor-General's Bodyguard

 राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने डायमंड जुबली सिल्वर ट्रम्पेट और ट्रम्पेट बैनर राष्ट्रपति की अंगरक्षक (PBG) को राष्ट्रपति भवन में प्रस्तुत किया। यह आयोजन 1950 में इस इकाई को राष्ट्रपति की अंगरक्षक के रूप में नामित किए जाने के 75 वर्ष पूरे होने का प्रतीक था, और इसके शानदार सेवा, परंपराओं और पेशेवर कौशल को सम्मानित करता है। PBG भारतीय सेना का सबसे पुराना रेजिमेंट है, जिसकी स्थापना 1773 में बनारस (वाराणसी) में गवर्नर-जनरल वॉरेन हेस्टिंग्स द्वारा गवर्नर-जनरल की अंगरक्षक के रूप में की गई थी।
