1 Flipkart, in collaboration with Pine Labs, has launched the
Flipkart Bharat Travel Card, a digital prepaid card for easy and quick payments
on public transport. The card is NCMC-enabled and allows commuters to pay for
metro, buses and other transit systems using a single smart card.

4. The
Indian Air Force (IAF) is participating in Exercise Ocean Sky 2025, hosted by
the Spanish Air Force, at Gando Air Base in Spain. The exercise promotes mutual
learning, interoperability, and the improvement of air combat skills between
friendly nations. More than 50 aircraft from Spain, Germany, Greece, Portugal,
India, and the United States are participating, including India's Su-30MKI
fighter jets.

5. The four-day
international dance and music festival, "Udbhav Utsav," kicked off
with a colorful ceremony in Gwalior. The procession began at Captain Roop Singh
Stadium and traveled 2.5 kilometers to Jiwaji University. The festival was
formally inaugurated by Padma Shri awardees, renowned Kathak dancers Dr. Nalini

7. The National
Science Awards 2025 were announced to recognize excellence in science,
technology, and innovation. Prof. Jayant Vishnu Narlikar will be posthumously
awarded the Vigyan Ratna Award for his outstanding scientific contributions.
Eight scientists have been selected for the Vigyan Shri Award. Fourteen young
scientists have been selected under the Vigyan Yuva-Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar
category.

8. India
topped the medal tally with 58 medals - 20 gold, 20 silver and 18 bronze - at
the SAAF Athletics Senior Championships being held at the Birsa Munda Athletics
Stadium. Sri Lanka finished second with 40 medals - 16 gold, 14 silver and 10
bronze. India also topped the medal tally in 2008 with 57 medals. Athletes from
India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Maldives participated in the
championship.

9. The Indian Navy's
indigenously built Survey Vessel (Large), Ikshak, is scheduled to be
commissioned at Naval Base Kochi on 6 November 2025. The ceremony will be
presided over by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi. Built
by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Limited, Kolkata,
"Ikshak" is built with over 80 per cent indigenous content. The ship's
name, Ikshak, meaning 'The Guide', aptly signifies her mission – to chart the
unknown, ensure safe passage for seafarers and strengthen the nation's maritime
power.

10. Indian Grandmasters Gukesh Dommaraju and Divya
Deshmukh each won two gold medals at the 2025 European Chess Club Cup. Gukesh
represented Team Super Chess, while Divya played for Cercle d'Echecs de
Monte-Carlo, which won the women's team championship. Nihal Sarin also won an
individual gold medal, adding to India's medal tally.
