1 Kerala is set to build its first underwater tunnel, connecting Vypin and Fort Kochi, as part of its Coastal Highway Development Project. Led by the Kerala Rail Development Corporation Limited (KRDCL), the project will cost ₹2,672 crore and will consist of a 2.75-kilometer tunnel under the Arabian Sea.

केरल अपनी तटीय राजमार्ग विकास परियोजना के तहत, वाइपिन और फोर्ट कोच्चि को जोड़ने वाली अपनी पहली पानी के नीचे सुरंग बनाने की तैयारी में है। केरल रेल विकास निगम लिमिटेड (KRDCL) के नेतृत्व में इस परियोजना पर ₹2,672 करोड़ की लागत आएगी और इसमें अरब सागर के नीचे 2.75 किलोमीटर लंबी सुरंग होगी।

2 Andrzej Pokzobut of Belarus and Mzia Amaghlobeli of Georgia have won the 2025 Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought. The Sakharov Prize, established in 1988, is the European Union's highest human rights award, named after Soviet dissident Andrei Sakharov. The prize is awarded to individuals or groups defending human rights and fundamental freedoms. The prize is worth €50,000.

बेलारूस के आंद्रेज पोकज़ोबुत और जॉर्जिया की म्ज़िया अमाघ्लोबेली ने 2025 का विचार स्वतंत्रता सखारोव पुरस्कार जीता है। 1988 में स्थापित सखारोव पुरस्कार, यूरोपीय संघ का सर्वोच्च मानवाधिकार पुरस्कार है, जिसका नाम सोवियत असंतुष्ट आंद्रेई सखारोव के नाम पर रखा गया है। यह पुरस्कार मानवाधिकारों और मौलिक स्वतंत्रताओं की रक्षा करने वाले व्यक्तियों या समूहों को दिया जाता है। इस पुरस्कार की राशि €50,000 है।

 3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually attend the 22nd ASEAN-India Summit on October 26, 2025, at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will represent India at the 20th East Asia Summit in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia will host the ASEAN Summit 2025 in Kuala Lumpur from October 26 to 28, 2025. ASEAN is a regional organization of Southeast Asian nations. It was established in 1967 by Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand with the signing of the Bangkok Declaration.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी 26 अक्टूबर, 2025 को मलेशिया के प्रधानमंत्री अनवर इब्राहिम के न्योते पर 22वें ASEAN-भारत शिखर सम्मेलन में वर्चुअली शामिल होंगे।

विदेश मंत्री डॉ. एस. जयशंकर कुआलालंपुर में 20वें पूर्वी एशिया शिखर सम्मेलन में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगे। मलेशिया 26 से 28 अक्टूबर 2025 तक कुआलालंपुर में आसियान शिखर सम्मेलन 2025 की मेज़बानी करेगा। आसियान (ASEAN) दक्षिण पूर्व एशियाई राष्ट्रों का एक क्षेत्रीय संगठन है। इसकी स्थापना 1967 में इंडोनेशिया, मलेशिया, फिलीपींस, सिंगापुर और थाईलैंड द्वारा बैंकॉक घोषणापत्र पर हस्ताक्षर करके की गई थी।

 4. India celebrated International Snow Leopard Day on October 23, and launched the '#23for23' campaign to raise awareness, encouraging people to dedicate 23 minutes to physical activity. The campaign aimed to raise awareness about the importance of conserving snow leopards and their habitats. International Snow Leopard Day: The day is celebrated annually on October 23. The first-ever snow leopard census identified 718 snow leopards in the Indian Himalayan region, including 477 in Ladakh.

 5. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated Shaurya Van in Jaisalmer on Thursday, after which he also visited the 1971 Indo-Pak War Museum. Shaurya Van is a new light-and-sound show in the Thar Desert, dedicated to the valour of Indian soldiers. The show aims to honour Indian soldiers and showcase their valour and sacrifice. This light-and-sound show is held at the 1971 Indo-Pak War Museum in Jaisalmer.

रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने गुरुवार को जैसलमेर में शौर्य वन का उद्घाटन किया , जिसके बाद उन्होंने 1971 के भारत-पाक युद्ध संग्रहालय का भी दौरा किया। शौर्य वन थार रेगिस्तान में एक नया प्रकाश-और-ध्वनि शो है, जो भारतीय सैनिकों की वीरता को समर्पित है। इस शो का उद्देश्य भारतीय सैनिकों का सम्मान करना और उनके शौर्य और बलिदान को प्रदर्शित करना है। यह प्रकाश-और-ध्वनि शो जैसलमेर स्थित 1971 के भारत-पाक युद्ध संग्रहालय में आयोजित किया जाता है ।

 6. India has launched the Online National Drug Licensing System (ONDLS) to improve drug safety and traceability, especially in the wake of fatal child deaths from toxic cough syrups. The system, launched by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), aims to provide real-time tracking of high-risk pharmaceutical solvents.

भारत ने दवा सुरक्षा और ट्रेसेबिलिटी में सुधार के लिए, विशेष रूप से विषाक्त कफ सिरप से होने वाली बच्चों की घातक मौतों के मद्देनजर, ऑनलाइन राष्ट्रीय औषधि लाइसेंसिंग प्रणाली (ONDLS) शुरू की है। केंद्रीय औषधि मानक नियंत्रण संगठन (CDSCO) द्वारा शुरू की गई इस प्रणाली का उद्देश्य उच्च जोखिम वाले दवा सॉल्वैंट्स पर वास्तविक समय में नज़र रखना है।

 7.  The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Thursday announced the launch of a global hackathon, 'Harbinger 2025 - Innovation for Transformation', aimed at leveraging emerging technologies to build innovative, secure and user-centric financial solutions that protect customer identity and foster trust. The RBI has invited entities and individuals to develop solutions using technology and innovative approaches under three problem statements - 'tokenised KYC', 'offline CBDC' and 'enhancing trust'.

भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (आरबीआई) ने गुरुवार को एक वैश्विक हैकथॉन, 'हैरबिंगर 2025 - परिवर्तन के लिए नवाचार' के शुभारंभ की घोषणा की, जिसका उद्देश्य उभरती प्रौद्योगिकियों का लाभ उठाकर अभिनव, सुरक्षित और उपयोगकर्ता-केंद्रित वित्तीय समाधान तैयार करना है जो ग्राहक पहचान की रक्षा करते हैं और विश्वास को बढ़ावा देते हैं। आरबीआई ने तीन समस्या कथनों - 'टोकनयुक्त केवाईसी', 'ऑफलाइन सीबीडीसी' और 'विश्वास बढ़ाना' के तहत प्रौद्योगिकी और नवीन दृष्टिकोणों का उपयोग करके समाधान विकसित करने के लिए संस्थाओं और व्यक्तियों को आमंत्रित किया है।

 8. Rohit Sharma has surpassed Sourav Ganguly to become India's third-highest run-scorer in ODIs. He has amassed a total of 11,249 runs in 275 matches. In the second ODI against Australia, Rohit played a brilliant innings of 73 runs off 97 balls. Sachin Tendulkar remains the top scorer with 18,426 runs in 463 matches, followed by Virat Kohli.

रोहित शर्मा ने सौरव गांगुली को पीछे छोड़कर वनडे में भारत के तीसरे सबसे सर्वाधिक रन बनाने वाले खिलाड़ी बन गए हैं। उन्होंने 275 मैचों में कुल 11,249 रन बनाए हैं। ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ दूसरे वनडे में रोहित ने 97 गेंदों पर 73 रनों की शानदार पारी खेली। सचिन तेंदुलकर 463 मैचों में 18,426 रनों के साथ टॉप स्कोरर बने हुए हैं, उनके बाद विराट कोहली हैं।

 9. The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force was established on October 24, 1962, after the Sino-Indian War to protect the country's northern borders. This force guards the rugged Himalayan frontiers. Valor, perseverance, and dedication are its core principles. Currently, the ITBP is deployed to guard the 3,488-kilometer-long India-China border, from the Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh. Praveen Kumar is currently its Director General.

भारत-तिब्बत सीमा पुलिस बल की स्थापना 24 अक्तूबर 1962 को भारत-चीन युद्ध के उपरांत देश की उत्तरी सीमाओं की सुरक्षा के लिए की गई थी. यह बल हिमालय की दुर्गम सीमाओं की रक्षा करता है. शौर्य, दृढ़ता, कर्मनिष्ठा इसके मूल सिद्धांत हैं।  वर्तमान में आईटीबीपी लद्दाख में काराकोरम दर्रे से अरुणाचल प्रदेश में जाचेप ला तक 3,488 किमी. लंबी भारत-चीन सीमा की सुरक्षा के लिए तैनात है। वर्तमान में प्रवीण कुमार इसके महानिदेशक हैं।

 10.  The Border Roads Organisation (BRO)'s Arunank Project celebrated its 18th foundation day in Naharlagun, in the state, on October 24, 2025. Launched in 2008, the BRO's Arunank Project aims to connect the difficult mountainous terrain of Arunachal Pradesh with the rest of the country and ensure safe and swift movement of armed forces deployed in border areas.

सीमा सड़क संगठन-बीआरओ की अरुणांक परियोजना का 24 अक्टूबर, 2025 को राज्‍य के नहरलागुन में 18वां स्थापना दिवस आयोजित किया गया। बीआरओ की अरुणांक परियोजना की शुरूआत वर्ष 2008 हुई थी, इसका उद्देश्‍य अरुणाचल प्रदेश के दुर्गम पहाड़ी इलाकों को देश के बाकी हिस्‍सों से जोड़ना और सीमावर्ती इलाकों में तैनात सशस्‍त्र बलों को सुरक्षित और तेज आवाजाही सुनिश्चित करना है।
