1 The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi. Through this partnership, IUCN and IRENA will work to promote the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy while addressing potential environmental impacts.

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रकृति संरक्षण संघ (IUCN) और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा एजेंसी (IRENA) ने अबू धाबी में IUCN विश्व संरक्षण कांग्रेस में एक समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए। इस साझेदारी के माध्यम से, IUCN और IRENA संभावित पर्यावरणीय प्रभावों का समाधान करते हुए जीवाश्म ईंधन से नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा में परिवर्तन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए काम करेंगे।

2   In a landmark decision, the Supreme Court ruled that age restrictions under the Surrogacy (Regulation) Act, 2021, cannot be applied retroactively to couples who had frozen embryos and initiated surrogacy before the Act came into force. The decision is based on the principles of fairness; the right to privacy and bodily autonomy; and gender equality perspectives.

 3. The Supreme Court unanimously held that judicial officers who have completed seven years of practice as advocates before joining the judicial service are eligible for direct recruitment as district judges under Article 233. Earlier, only advocates with seven years of experience were eligible; serving judicial officers were not eligible.

सर्वोच्च न्यायालय ने सर्वसम्मति से माना कि न्यायिक सेवा में शामिल होने से पहले अधिवक्ता के रूप में सात वर्ष का अभ्यास पूरा करने वाले न्यायिक अधिकारी अनुच्छेद 233 के अंतर्गत जिला न्यायाधीश के रूप में सीधी भर्ती के लिए पात्र हैं।इससे पहले, केवल सात वर्षों के अनुभव वाले अधिवक्ता ही पात्र थे; सेवारत न्यायिक अधिकारी इसके लिए पात्र नहीं थे।

 4. HDFC Bank introduced 'My Business QR,' a first-of-its-kind commerce identity QR for small businesses, at the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2025. This innovation aims to help retailers transition from offline to online commerce, improving their discoverability, customer engagement, and payment capabilities. My Business QR is integrated into HDFC Bank's SmartHub business app.

 5. The government has announced the fourth edition of its flagship Scholarship Programme for Ayurveda Research Cane (SPARK), which aims to foster scientific curiosity and research aptitude among Ayurveda undergraduate students. The programme will provide scholarships of ₹50,000 each to 300 Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) students from colleges recognised by the NCISM.

सरकार ने आयुर्वेद अनुसंधान केन (SPARK) के लिए अपने प्रमुख छात्रवृति कार्यक्रम के चौथे संस्करण की घोषणा की है, जिसका उद्देश्य आयुर्वेद स्नातक छात्रों में वैज्ञानिक जिज्ञासा और शोध योग्यता को बढ़ावा देना है। यह कार्यक्रम NCISMद्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त महाविद्यालयों के 300 बैचलर ऑफ आयुर्वेदिक मेडिसिन एंड सर्जरी (BAMS) छात्रों को ₹50,000 की छात्रवृति प्रदान करेगा।

 6. The Manipur Global Buyer & Seller Summit 2025 began today at the City Convention Centre in Imphal, inaugurated by Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla. The summit, themed "Business Sense Borders," is part of the Enhancement and Acceleration of MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.

मणिपुर वैश्विक क्रेता एवं विक्रेता शिखर सम्मेलन 2025 आज इम्फाल के सिटी कन्वेंशन सेंटर में शुरू हुआ, जिसका उद्घाटन मणिपुर के राज्यपाल अजय कुमार भल्ला ने किया। "बिजनेस सेंस बॉर्डर्स" विषय पर आधारित यह शिखर सम्मेलन, भारत सरकार के MSME मंत्रालय द्वारा MSME प्रदर्शन को बढ़ाने और गति देने (RAMP) पहल का हिस्सा है।

 7.  The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has formally recognized three major ports as green hydrogen hubs under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. These ports are: Deendayal Port Authority in Gujarat, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority in Tamil Nadu, and Paradip Port Authority in Odisha. This recognition is an important step towards creating an integrated hydrogen ecosystem and advancing India's transition to clean energy, the ministry said in a statement.

नवीन एवं नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मंत्रालय ने राष्ट्रीय हरित हाइड्रोजन मिशन के तहत तीन प्रमुख बंदरगाहों को औपचारिक रूप से हरित हाइड्रोजन हब के रूप में मान्यता दी है। ये बंदरगाह हैं: गुजरात में दीनदयाल बंदरगाह प्राधिकरण, तमिलनाडु में वीओ चिदंबरनार बंदरगाह प्राधिकरण और ओडिशा में पारादीप बंदरगाह प्राधिकरण। मंत्रालय ने एक बयान में कहा कि यह मान्यता एक एकीकृत हाइड्रोजन पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र बनाने और स्वच्छ ऊर्जा की ओर भारत के संक्रमण को आगे बढ़ाने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।

 8. The PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana and the Pulse Self-Reliance Mission will give a new direction to the country's agriculture. These schemes will not only increase total agricultural production, but will also provide special benefits to low-productivity, backward, and irrigation-deprived districts. Shivraj Singh Chouhan told news agency IANS that there are many districts in the country where per-hectare production is very low. The government has selected 100 such backward districts.

पीएम धन-धान्य कृषि योजना और दलहन आत्मनिर्भरता मिशन देश की कृषि को नई दिशा देंगे। इन योजनाओं से न केवल कुल कृषि उत्पादन में बढ़ोतरी होगी, बल्कि कम उत्पादकता वाले, पिछड़े और सिंचाई की सुविधाओं से वंचित जिलों को विशेष लाभ मिलेगा। शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने समाचार एजेंसी आईएएनएस से बातचीत में बताया कि देश के कई जिले ऐसे हैं जहां प्रति हेक्टेयर उत्पादन बहुत कम है। सरकार ने ऐसे ही 100 पिछड़े जिलों को चुना है।

 9. Hundreds of people took to the streets to protest the proposed 2,000 MW Subansiri Upper Hydroelectric Project in Daporijo, Upper Subansiri district, Arunachal Pradesh. The Subansiri River originates in Arunachal Pradesh and joins the Brahmaputra River in Assam. NHPC Limited, a central public sector company of the Government of India, is a leader in the development of hydroelectric projects. Arunachal Pradesh is called the "Power House of India" because of its immense hydropower potential.

अरुणाचल प्रदेश के अपर सुबनसिरी ज़िले के दापोरिजो में प्रस्तावित 2000 मेगावाट की सुबनसिरी अप्पर जलविद्युत परियोजना के खिलाफ सैकड़ों लोग सड़कों पर उतर आए।सुबनसिरी नदी अरुणाचल प्रदेश से निकलती है और असम में ब्रह्मपुत्र नदी में मिलती है। एनएचपीसी लिमिटेड भारत सरकार की एक केंद्रीय सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की कंपनी है जो जलविद्युत परियोजनाओं के विकास में अग्रणी है। अरुणाचल प्रदेश को ‘भारत का ऊर्जा घर कहा जाता है क्योंकि यहां जलविद्युत की अपार संभावनाएं हैं।

 10.  The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan will be showcased in African countries and island nations. This information was given by Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Prahlad Joshi at an event ahead of the 8th General Assembly of ISA. This ₹34,000 crore scheme, launched in 2019, aims to promote solar energy infrastructure in the agriculture sector. The main targets of the scheme were: setting up 100 GW solar power plants on farmers' land. Installing 14 lakh solar pumps. Solarising 35 lakh grid-connected agricultural pumps.

प्रधानमंत्री किसान ऊर्जा सुरक्षा एवं उत्थान महाभियान को अफ्रीकी देशों और द्वीपीय राष्ट्रों में प्रदर्शित की जाएगी। केंद्रीय नवीन और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मंत्री प्रह्लाद जोशी ने यह जानकारी ISA की आठवीं महासभा से पहले एक कार्यक्रम में दी। 2019 में शुरू हुई ₹34,000 करोड़ की इस योजना का उद्देश्य कृषि क्षेत्र में सौर ऊर्जा के बुनियादी ढांचे को बढ़ावा देना है। योजना के प्रमुख लक्ष्य थे: किसानों की जमीन पर 100 गीगावाट सौर ऊर्जा संयंत्र स्थापित करना। 14 लाख सौर पंप लगाना। 35 लाख ग्रिड-कनेक्टेड कृषि पंपों को सौर ऊर्जा से सौरकृत करना।
