2 Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written the
foreword for Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's autobiography, "I Am
Georgia." The Indian edition of the book will be titled "I Am Georgia
- My Roots, My Principles." This is the third foreword written by Modi,
having previously written forewords for Anandiben Patel (2014) and Hema Malini
(2017).

3. Mukhi, a female cheetah born in Kuno National Park, will be 915
days old, marking the first successful transition from birth to adulthood in
India's cheetah reintroduction program. Project Cheetah, launched on September
17, 2022, aims to reintroduce cheetahs to India after more than 70 years of
extinction. Kuno National Park is located in Madhya Pradesh. The Asiatic
cheetah, a subspecies found in India, is listed as Critically Endangered.

4. It is a
biennial joint amphibious exercise conducted by the Indian Navy in close
coordination with the Indian Army. Jal Prahar 2025 showcased synergy,
coordination and interoperability between the Indian Navy and the Indian Army,
thereby enhancing operational readiness, maritime security and national defence
capabilities. The 2025 edition was held in Visakhapatnam and Kakinada.

5. The Reserve Bank of
India constituted a six-member Payments Regulatory Board, including three
central government nominees, to oversee the functioning of payment systems in
the country. The board will be chaired by the Governor. The other two RBI
members of the PRB will be the Deputy Governor and the Executive Director in
charge of Payment and Settlement Systems. The Payments Regulatory Board (PRB)
will replace the Board for Regulation and Supervision of Payment and Settlement
Systems (BPSS), a committee of the Central Board of the Reserve Bank of India.

6. India has been re-elected to Part II of
the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), a
specialized agency of the United Nations. Part II comprises countries making
the greatest contributions to the provision of facilities for international
civil air navigation. The election took place during the 42nd ICAO session held
in Montreal on 27 September 2025. As a founding member of ICAO in 1944, India
has maintained an uninterrupted presence on the Council for 81 years.

7. The RBI on
Tuesday said it has imposed a penalty of Rs 31.8 lakh on Indian Overseas Bank
for non-compliance with certain directions on 'Priority Sector Lending (PSL) -
Targets and Classification'. Indian Overseas Bank levied loan-related charges
in certain PSL accounts, each sanctioned with loans up to Rs 25,000. Indian
Overseas Bank (IOB) is a nationalised bank owned by the Government of India,
founded on February 10, 1937 by Shri M. Ct. M. Chidambaram Chettiar

8. RBL Bank
has partnered with LIC to offer its customers a full range of life insurance
products through the bank's branches and digital channels. Bancassurance is an arrangement
where a bank collaborates with an insurance company to sell insurance products.
This collaboration will expand insurance penetration across the country by
leveraging LIC's over 3,600 branches and RBL's over 2,000 touchpoints and help
achieve the goal of 'Insurance for All by 2047'.

9. The Delhi Jal Board will
inaugurate Asia's largest wastewater treatment plant in Okhla. The project,
built with JICA funding, spans 40 acres and costs ₹1,161.18 crore. The plant
will serve 4 million residents of South Delhi and is capable of generating
power and treating sewage followed by A-grade sludge treatment.
दिल्ली जल बोर्ड के द्वारा ओखला में एशिया के सबसे बड़े
अपशिष्ट जल उपचार संयंत्र का उद्घाटन किया जाएगा। JICA
के वित्तपोषण
से निर्मित यह परियोजना 40 एकड़ में फैली है और इसकी लागत ₹1,161.18 करोड़ है। यह संयंत्र दक्षिण दिल्ली के 40 लाख
निवासियों को सेवा प्रदान करेगा और विद्युत उत्पादन तथा सीवेज उपचार के बाद A-श्रेणी का कीचड़ निकालने में सक्षम है।
10. Mahamahopadhyaya Bhadreshdas Swamiji, a
learned saint of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, was awarded the country's
prestigious "Saraswati Samman 2024" by the K.K. Birla Foundation for
his Sanskrit text "Swaminarayan Siddhanta Sudha" (2022). This is the
first time this award has been given to a saint and the first time in 22 years
that a Sanskrit work has received this honor. It was instituted in 1991 by the
K.K. Birla Foundation.
बीएपीएस स्वामीनारायण संस्था के विद्वान संत महामहोपाध्याय भद्रेशदास स्वामीजी को के.के. बिड़ला फाउंडेशन द्वारा उनके संस्कृत ग्रंथ ‘स्वामीनारायण सिद्धांत सुधा’ (2022) के लिए देश का प्रतिष्ठित ‘सरस्वती सम्मान 2024’ प्रदान किया गया। यह पहली बार है जब यह पुरस्कार किसी संत को मिला है और 22 वर्षों बाद किसी संस्कृत कृति को यह सम्मान प्राप्त हुआ है। इसकी शुरुआत 1991 में के.के. बिड़ला फाउंडेशन के द्वारा की गई।
