will host the 28th ITTF-ATTU Asian Table Tennis Team Championships in
Bhubaneswar in October 2025. The event will feature men's and women's team
competitions and will serve as a qualifier for the 2026 ITTF World Team
Championships. Odisha is hosting an Asian-level table tennis event for the
first time. Top teams from China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and emerging
nations are expected to participate.

3. Kokichi Akuzawa, 102, set the Guinness World Record for the oldest
person to climb Mount Fuji. He summited the peak with family, friends and a
mountaineering club on August 5, 2025. He set the Guinness World Record for the
oldest person to climb the 12,388-foot-high peak. Earlier in 2022, in
celebration of his 99th birthday, Akuzawa climbed Mount Nabewariama, a 4,177-foot-high
peak outside Tokyo.

7. The armed forces will host the 2nd Combined Commanders' Conference
(CCC) 2025 in Kolkata, West Bengal from September 15 to 17, 2025. The
conference focuses on formulating future strategies to adapt India's military
forces to the changing operational environment. The theme of this year's
conference is: 'Year of Reforms - Transformation for the Future'. The
conference will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister. The Defence Minister,
National Security Advisor, Minister of State for Defence, Chief of Defence
Staff and Defence Secretary will also attend the conference.

8. India has
begun celebrating the 100th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna awardee Bhupen
Hazarika, the great singer, poet and musician from Assam. Bhupen Hazarika was
born on September 8, 1926 in Assam. Through his soulful songs, impactful lyrics
and socially relevant compositions, he became one of India's most iconic
cultural figures. In 2019 Hazarika was awarded India's highest civilian honour,
the Bharat Ratna. He died on November 5, 2011 at the age of 85.

9. The Nepal government
banned 26 platforms last week. These include popular social media and messaging
platforms like Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. A large number of people from
Nepal live abroad. After the ban on messaging apps and social media, Nepali
citizens living abroad are facing difficulties in contacting their families.
This protest has been started by Gen-Z i.e. the youth born between 1997 and
2012.
नेपाल सरकार ने बीते सप्ताह 26 प्लेटफ़ॉर्म पर प्रतिबंध लगा
दिया था. इनमें फ़ेसबुक, इंस्टाग्राम और व्हाट्सऐप जैसे चर्चित सोशल मीडिया और

10. The Reserve Bank of
India (RBI) has imposed a monetary penalty of ₹5.50 lakh on Rohika Central
Co-operative Bank Limited, Bihar (the bank).The bank failed to dispose of
certain non-banking assets within the prescribed period, did not furnish credit
information of its customers to all four credit information companies, and
delayed uploading of KYC records in Central KYC Records Registry (CKYCR).
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (आरबीआई) ने रोहिका सेंट्रल को-ऑपरेटिव बैंक लिमिटेड, बिहार (बैंक) पर 5.50 लाख रुपये का मौद्रिक जुर्माना लगाया है।बैंक निर्धारित अवधि के भीतर कुछ गैर-बैंकिंग परिसंपत्तियों का निपटान करने में विफल रहा, उसने अपने ग्राहकों की क्रेडिट जानकारी सभी चार क्रेडिट सूचना कंपनियों को प्रस्तुत नहीं की, तथा केंद्रीय केवाईसी रिकॉर्ड रजिस्ट्री (सीकेवाईसीआर) में केवाईसी रिकॉर्ड अपलोड करने में देरी की।
