1 Chief Justice of India, Justice B.R. Gavai, inaugurated the
Second National Mediation Conference 2025 in Bhubaneswar, emphasizing that the
success of mediation depends not only on laws but also on consistent practices.
The two-day conference includes five interactive technical sessions chaired by
Supreme Court judges, which will promote the exchange of knowledge on mediation
practices.

3. Oil India Limited (OIL) announced the first confirmed hydrocarbon
discovery near the Andaman Islands, highlighting the region's energy potential.
According to a Hydrocarbon Resource Assessment Study (HRAS), the AN Basin, part
of the Bengal-Arakan sedimentary system, contains 371 MMTOE of hydrocarbons.
The region lies at the tectonic boundary between the Indian and Burmese plates,
creating a stratigraphic trap.

4. The Gokul
Reservoir (448 hectares) in Buxar and the Udaipur Lake (319 hectares) in West
Champaran have been designated as Ramsar sites. Ramsar sites are wetlands of
international importance recognized under the Ramsar Convention, headquartered
in Gland, Switzerland. With these additions, India now has 93 Ramsar sites,
covering a total area of 1,360,719 hectares.

5. The central government
appointed Shirish Chandra Murmu as Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India
for a three-year term, effective October 9. He will replace M. Rajeshwar Rao,
whose term ends on October 8. Shirish currently serves as Executive Director at
the RBI and oversees the Department of Supervision. By law, the RBI must have
four deputy governors: two from within the bank, one economist, and one from
the commercial banking system. T. Rabi Shankar, Poonam Gupta, and Swaminathan
J. are the other deputy governors.

6. Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir
has been selected as an 'Aspirational Agricultural District' under the Pradhan
Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana. The Central Government announced in the
Budget 2025-26 to develop 100 Aspirational Agricultural Districts under the
Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY) for a period of six years
starting from 2025-26. Accordingly, the Union Cabinet approved the PMDDKY on
July 16. The formal launch of the PMDDKY is likely to take place in October
2025. The 100 agricultural aspirational districts have been identified based on
three key indicators of low crop productivity, low cropping intensity, and low
short-term loan disbursement.

धन धान्य कृषि योजना’ के तहत जम्मू-कश्मीर के किश्तवाड़ जिले को ‘आकांक्षी कृषि
जिला’ के रूप में चुना गया है। केंद्र सरकार ने बजट 2025-26 में प्रधानमंत्री
धन धान्य कृषि योजना (पीएमडीडीकेवाई) के अंतर्गत 2025-26 से शुरू होकर छह साल की

पीएमडीडीकेवाई का औपचारिक शुभारंभ अक्टूबर, 2025 में होने की
संभावना है।कम फसल उत्पादकता, कम फसल सघनता और कम अल्पकालिक
ऋण वितरण के तीन प्रमुख संकेतकों के आधार पर 100 कृषि आकांक्षी जिलों की पहचान की
गई है।
7. NCRB has
released a report on all crimes committed in the country in 2023. The data
presents comparative data of all crimes committed in the country from 1981 to
2023. It shows that excluding 2020, the highest number of recorded crime
incidents were registered in the country in 2023. 62 lakh 41 thousand 569 cases
were registered in all the states of the country in 2023. Which is 7.2 percent
more than 58,24,946 in 2022. The highest increase in crimes was in cyber
crimes. In which there was a record increase of more than 31 percent compared
to 2022.
According to NCRB data from 2023, Uttar Pradesh topped the list in
overall crime, murder, kidnapping, and road accidents. Rajasthan led in crimes
against women and rape cases. Maharashtra led in kidnapping for ransom. These
figures reflect the serious situation of rising criminal activity in the
country.

में 2023 में 62 लाख 41 हजार 569 मुकदमे दर्ज किए गए। जो की 2022 में 58,24,946 के मुकाबले 7.2 फीसदी अधिक रहे। अपराधों में सबसे अधिक
बढ़ोतरी साइबर अपराधों में हुई। जिसमें 2022 के मुकाबले रिकॉर्ड 31 फीसदी से अधिक
की बढ़ोतरी हुई।
एनसीआरबी
2023 के आंकड़ों के अनुसार, उत्तर प्रदेश समग्र अपराध, हत्या, अपहरण और सड़क दुर्घटनाओं में शीर्ष पर रहा। महिलाओं के खिलाफ अपराध और
बलात्कार के मामलों में राजस्थान सबसे आगे है। रंगदारी के लिए अपहरण में
महाराष्ट्र ने बाजी मारी। ये आंकड़े देश में बढ़ती आपराधिक गतिविधियों की गंभीर
स्थिति दर्शाते हैं।

10. India clinched their seventh SAFF Under-17
Championship title after beating Bangladesh 4-1 in a penalty shootout at the
Racecourse International Stadium in Colombo. Coach Bibiano Fernandes celebrated
his fifth SAFF title, adding this Under-17 title to the SAFF Under-19 title won
in Arunachal Pradesh in May 2025.
