1 Jio Payments Bank has launched Savings Pro, which offers improved returns on idle funds by automatically investing excess funds into overnight mutual funds. Users can set a minimum balance (starting at ₹5,000), and any amount above this amount will be automatically invested in growth plans. Additional funds can yield returns of up to 6.5% per annum. No entry/exit load, no lock-in period, and a completely digital experience.

 2   World Food India 2025, organized by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, will be held from September 25-28 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the summit and highlight India's global leadership in sustainable food systems. New Zealand and Saudi Arabia are participating countries, while major countries such as Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, and Vietnam are participating.

 3. Drone-enabled drug and arms smuggling has been a challenge along the border for the past four to five years, and those challenges have taken on new dimensions following Operation Sindoor. This is why Director General Daljit Singh Chaudhary inaugurated the BSF's Drone Warfare School in Tekanpur, Madhya Pradesh. This state-of-the-art facility will train drone commandos and drone warriors through five specialized courses in UAV operations, counter-drone tactics, surveillance, and night operations, enhancing India's border security capabilities.

पिछले चार से पांच वर्षों से सीमा पर ड्रोन-सक्षम नशीले पदार्थों और हथियारों की तस्करी का सामना करना पड़ रहा है और ऑपरेशन सिंदूर के बाद उन चुनौतियों ने नए रूप ले लिए हैं। इसी कारण मध्य प्रदेश के टेकनपुर में बीएसएफ के ड्रोन युद्ध स्कूल का उद्घाटन महानिदेशक दलजीत सिंह चौधरी ने किया। इस अत्याधुनिक सुविधा केंद्र में ड्रोन कमांडो और ड्रोन योद्धाओं को यूएवी संचालन, ड्रोन-रोधी रणनीति, निगरानी और रात्रि अभियानों में पाँच विशेष पाठ्यक्रमों के माध्यम से प्रशिक्षित किया जाएगा, जिससे भारत की सीमा सुरक्षा क्षमताएँ बढ़ेंगी।

 4. Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman formally launched the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) in New Delhi, a transformative step in India's indirect tax system. The establishment of the GSTAT strengthens the institutional framework for dispute resolution under GST and provides a uniform, transparent and efficient appellate mechanism for taxpayers. The GSTAT will have a Principal Bench in New Delhi and 31 State Benches at 45 locations across India, ensuring national reach.

केंद्रीय वित्त मंत्री श्रीमती निर्मला सीतारमण ने नई दिल्ली में वस्तु एवं सेवा कर अपीलीय न्यायाधिकरण (जीएसटीएटी) का औपचारिक शुभारंभ किया, जो भारत के अप्रत्यक्ष कर तंत्र में एक परिवर्तनकारी कदम है। जीएसटीएटी की स्थापना, जीएसटी के अंतर्गत विवाद समाधान हेतु संस्थागत ढाँचे को सुदृढ़ करती है और करदाताओं के लिए एक समान, पारदर्शी और कुशल अपीलीय तंत्र प्रदान करती है। जीएसटीएटी में नई दिल्ली में एक प्रधान पीठ और भारत भर में 45 स्थानों पर 31 राज्य पीठें होंगी, जिससे राष्ट्रीय पहुंच सुनिश्चित होगी।

 5. On September 24, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the 49th meeting of PRAGATI. It is an ICT-enabled multi-modal platform designed for proactive governance and timely implementation. This initiative connects the central and state governments, aiming to expedite the progress of key development projects, efficiently resolve bottlenecks, and ensure timely delivery of public assets.

 6. DRDO in collaboration with Strategic Forces Command (SFC) has successfully test-fired the medium range Agni-Prime missile from a rail-based mobile launcher system. Designed to have a strike range of up to 2000 km, this next-generation missile is equipped with various advanced features. “The first-of-its-kind launch from a specially designed rail-based mobile launcher has the capability to move on the rail network without any preconditions, allowing the user to maneuver and launch across the country within a short reaction time with low visibility,” the statement said.

डीआरडीओ ने सामरिक बल कमान (एसएफसी) के सहयोग से रेल आधारित मोबाइल लांचर प्रणाली से मध्यम दूरी की अग्नि-प्राइम मिसाइल का सफल प्रक्षेपण किया है। 2000 किलोमीटर तक की दूरी तक मार करने के लिए डिजाइन की गई अगली पीढ़ी की यह मिसाइल विभिन्न उन्नत सुविधाओं से लैस है। “विशेष रूप से डिजाइन किए गए रेल आधारित मोबाइल लांचर से किया गया अपनी तरह का पहला प्रक्षेपण, बिना किसी पूर्व शर्त के रेल नेटवर्क पर चलने की क्षमता रखता है, जो उपयोगकर्ता को कम दृश्यता के साथ कम प्रतिक्रिया समय के भीतर देश भर में गतिशीलता और प्रक्षेपण की अनुमति देता है।”

 7.  The first cloud seeding trial in the national capital will be conducted in northwest Delhi between October 7 and 9. The announcement came after the Delhi government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur to conduct a pilot cloud seeding campaign to combat air pollution. Artificial rain is induced by releasing chemical agents such as silver iodide, dry ice, and common salt into clouds. This is called cloud seeding. According to scientists, the presence of natural clouds is essential for this process.

राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में पहला क्लाउड सीडिंग परीक्षण 7 से 9 अक्टूबर के बीच उत्तर-पश्चिमी दिल्ली में किया जाएगा। यह घोषणा दिल्ली सरकार द्वारा वायु प्रदूषण से निपटने के लिए पायलट क्लाउड सीडिंग अभियान चलाने हेतु भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (आईआईटी) कानपुर के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर करने के बाद की गई ।कृत्रिम बारिश केमिकल एजेंट्स जैसे सिल्वर आयोडाईड, ड्राई आइस और साधारण नमक को बादलों में छोड़कर करवाई जाती हैं। इसे ही क्लाउड सीडिंग कहते हैं। वैज्ञानिकों के अनुसार, इस प्रक्रिया के लिए प्राकृतिक बादलों का मौजूद होना सबसे जरूरी है।

 8. The Reserve Bank of India has issued final guidelines for digital payment authentication, effective April 1, 2026, to enhance security and encourage fraud prevention innovation. Issuers can implement risk-based checks in addition to two-factor authentication. The framework promotes new technologies while retaining SMS-based OTP and mandating additional authentication for specific cross-border transactions.

भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक ने सुरक्षा बढ़ाने और धोखाधड़ी रोकथाम नवाचार को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए डिजिटल भुगतान प्रमाणीकरण के लिए अंतिम दिशानिर्देश जारी किए हैं, जो 1 अप्रैल, 2026 से प्रभावी होंगे। जारीकर्ता दो-कारक प्रमाणीकरण के अलावा जोखिम-आधारित जाँच भी लागू कर सकते हैं। यह ढाँचा एसएमएस-आधारित ओटीपी को बरकरार रखते हुए नई तकनीकों को बढ़ावा देता है और विशिष्ट सीमा-पार लेनदेन के लिए अतिरिक्त प्रमाणीकरण अनिवार्य करता है।

 9. The Indian government has revoked the FCRA license of Sonam Wangchuk's organization following protests demanding statehood in Ladakh. The CBI is investigating alleged FCRA violations related to foreign funding received by Wangchuk's organizations. He is on a hunger strike demanding statehood and inclusion of Ladakh in the Sixth Schedule. The FCRA was enacted on March 31, 1976. It has been amended in 2010 and 2020.

लद्दाख में राज्य का दर्जा दिए जाने की मांग को लेकर हुए विरोध प्रदर्शनों के बाद भारत सरकार ने सोनम वांगचुक के संगठन का एफसीआरए लाइसेंस रद्द कर दिया है। सीबीआई वांगचुक की संस्थाओं को मिले विदेशी धन से संबंधित कथित एफसीआरए उल्लंघनों की जाँच कर रही है। लद्दाख को राज्य का दर्जा दिए जाने और छठी अनुसूची में शामिल किए जाने की माँग को लेकर उनकी भूख हड़ताल चल रही है। 31 मार्च 1976 को, एफसीआरए अधिनियमित किया गया था। 2010 और 2020 में इसमें संशोधन किया जा चूका है।

In FY2025, IDFC First Bank won the FE India Best Bank Award for 'Best Savings Product', and SBI was declared the 'World's Best Consumer Bank', while DBS was named the 'World's Best Bank' according to Euromoney. The pace of banking reforms has accelerated since 2014. “53 crore bank accounts have been opened in the last 10 years. Bank NPAs were 16% in 1999. During the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, it fell to 7.8%. During the 10 years of the UPA government, it increased to 19%. Whereas in the last 10 years of the NDA government, NPAs have fallen to just 2.5%.”
