1 The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has launched the National Geothermal Energy Policy to promote the use of geothermal energy for cooling and other applications. Ten geothermal provinces have been identified in India. These include the Himalayas, the Cambay Basin, the Aravalli Basin, the Mahanadi Basin, and the Godavari Basin. The estimated potential for geothermal energy in India is approximately 10 gigawatts.

​नवीन एवं नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मंत्रालय ने शीतलन एवं अन्य अनुप्रयोगों में भूतापीय ऊर्जा के उपयोग को बढ़ावा देने के लिए राष्ट्रीय भूतापीय ऊर्जा नीति शुरू की है।भारत में दस भूतापीय प्रांतों की पहचान की गई है। इनमें हिमालय, कैम्बे बेसिन, अरावली, महानदी बेसिन और गोदावरी बेसिन शामिल हैं। भारत में भूतापीय ऊर्जा की अनुमानित क्षमता लगभग 10 गीगावाट है।

 2   India ranks 38th in the Global Innovation Index (GII) 2025, an improvement from 48th in 2020. India ranks first among lower-middle income economies and the Central and South Asia region. Global Innovation Index (GII): Published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Switzerland ranks first, followed by Sweden and the United States in the top 3. The Global Innovation Index (GII) was launched in 2007 by INSEAD and the British magazine World Business, prepared by Soumitra Dutta.

वैश्विक नवाचार सूचकांक (GII) 2025 में भारत 38वें स्थान पर है, जो 2020 के 48वें स्थान से बेहतर है। भारत निम्न-मध्यम आय वाली अर्थव्यवस्थाओं और मध्य एवं दक्षिणी एशिया क्षेत्र में पहले स्थान पर है। वैश्विक नवाचार सूचकांक (GII): विश्व बौद्धिक संपदा संगठन (WIPO) द्वारा प्रकाशित। स्विट्जरलैंड पहले स्थान पर है, उसके बाद स्वीडन और संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका शीर्ष 3 में हैं। वैश्विक नवाचार सूचकांक (Global Innovation Index - GII) की शुरुआत 2007 में INSEAD और ब्रिटिश पत्रिका वर्ल्ड बिज़नेस द्वारा की गई थी, जिसे सौमित्र दत्ता ने तैयार किया था।

 3. Central Zone defeated South Zone to win the Duleep Cup Championship. It is a first-class domestic cricket competition in India, founded and named after former cricketer Kumar Shri Duleepsinhji. The match was held in Bengaluru. Central Zone won the Duleep Cup Championship after 11 years. For the 2025–26 season, six regional teams were added: Central, East, North, North East, South, and West Zones. It was founded in 1961–62.

सेंट्रल जोन ने साउथ जोन को हराकर दलीप कप चैंपियनशिप का खिताब अपने नाम कर लिया. भारत की एक प्रथम श्रेणी घरेलू क्रिकेट प्रतियोगिता है, जिसे पूर्व क्रिकेटर कुमार श्री दलीपसिंहजी के नाम पर शुरू किया गया था.  बेंगलुरु में  इस मैच का आयोजन हुआ .सेंट्रल जोन की टीम ने  11 साल बाद दलीप कप चैंपियनशिप जीती। 2025-26 सीज़न के लिए, छह क्षेत्रीय टीमों को शामिल किया गया था: मध्य, पूर्व, उत्तर, उत्तर पूर्व, दक्षिण और पश्चिम क्षेत्र। इसकी शुरुआत 1961-62 में हुई थी।

 4. The 14-day long 14th Sirarakhong Hathai Chilli Festival was inaugurated today in Sirarakhong village of Ukhrul district. The festival aims to promote the Sirarakhong Hathai, a GI-tagged chilli variety grown here, known for its unique aroma and flavour in the country. Several activities were organised on the opening day, including a ceremonial flag hoisting and vibrant cultural programmes showcasing the region's rich heritage.

उखरूल ज़िले के सिराराखोंग गाँव में आज 14 दिवसीय 14वें सिराराखोंग हथेई मिर्च महोत्सव का उद्घाटन हुआ। यह महोत्सव यहाँ उगाई जाने वाली जीआई-टैग वाली मिर्च की प्रजाति, सिराराखोंग हथेई, को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से आयोजित किया गया है, जो देश में अपनी अनूठी सुगंध और स्वाद के लिए जानी जाती है। उद्घाटन दिवस पर कई गतिविधियाँ आयोजित की गईं, जिनमें एक औपचारिक ध्वजारोहण और क्षेत्र की समृद्ध विरासत को प्रदर्शित करने वाले जीवंत सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम शामिल थे।

 5. Kotak811 ranked third globally in terms of banking app downloads in the first half of 2025, surpassing SBI YONO with 16 million downloads. The app recorded an impressive 250% year-on-year growth, the fastest growth rate among all banking apps globally. Despite RBI restrictions on digital onboarding, Kotak811 is thriving due to its fully digital model and customer-centric offerings.

कोटक811 2025 की पहली छमाही में बैंकिंग ऐप डाउनलोड के मामले में विश्व भर में तीसरे स्थान पर रहा, जिसने 1.6 करोड़ डाउनलोड के साथ SBI योनो को पीछे छोड़ दिया। इस ऐप ने वर्ष-दर-वर्ष 250% की प्रभावशाली वृद्धि दर्ज की, जो वैश्विक स्तर पर सभी बैंकिंग ऐप्स में सबसे तेज़ वृद्धि दर है। डिजिटल ऑनबोर्डिंग पर RBI के प्रतिबंधों के बावजूद, कोटक811 अपने पूर्णतः डिजिटल मॉडल और ग्राहक-केंद्रित पेशकशों के कारण फल-फूल रहा है।

 6. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has launched a new regulatory framework called "Swagat-FI," a simplified cover structure to facilitate access to GIFT-IFSC for foreign investors. The initiative aims to lower entry barriers for low-risk foreign investors, such as sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and long-term institutional investors. Under the new framework, eligible foreign investors can now register for a period of 10 years, up from the earlier period of 3 years.

भारतीय प्रतिभूति एवं विनिमय बोर्ड (सेबी) ने "स्वागत-एफआई" नामक एक नया नियामक ढांचा शुरू किया है जो  विदेशी निवेशकों के लिए गिफ्ट-आईएफएससी तक पहुँच को सुगम बनाने हेतु सरलीकृत आवरण ढाँचा है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य कम जोखिम वाले विदेशी निवेशकों, जैसे सॉवरेन वेल्थ फंड, पेंशन फंड और दीर्घकालिक संस्थागत निवेशकों के लिए प्रवेश बाधाओं को कम करना है। नए ढांचे के तहत, पात्र विदेशी निवेशक अब 10 साल की अवधि के लिए पंजीकरण करा सकते हैं, जो पहले  3 साल था

 7.  Saudi Arabia and nuclear-armed Pakistan have signed a formal mutual defense agreement, deepening their longstanding security partnership. The agreement commits to enhancing defense cooperation and joint deterrence between the two countries, and declares that any aggression against one will be considered an aggression against both, aiming to strengthen regional and global security.

सऊदी अरब और परमाणु-सशस्त्र पाकिस्तान ने एक औपचारिक पारस्परिक रक्षा समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं, जिससे उनकी दीर्घकालिक सुरक्षा साझेदारी और गहरी हुई है। यह समझौता दोनों देशों के बीच रक्षा सहयोग और संयुक्त प्रतिरोध बढ़ाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है, और यह घोषणा करता है कि किसी एक के विरुद्ध किसी भी आक्रमण को दोनों के विरुद्ध आक्रमण माना जाएगा, जिसका उद्देश्य क्षेत्रीय और वैश्विक सुरक्षा को मज़बूत करना है।

 8. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated a two-day national conference, MANTHAN 2025, in New Delhi. The conference is being organised by the Directorate General of Defence Estates, with the theme "Strategic Roadmap for a Self-reliant India by 2047." Department of Defence Estates: Responsible for the management of defence land.

रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने नई दिल्ली में दो दिवसीय राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन, MANTHAN 2025 का उद्घाटन किया । यह सम्मेलन रक्षा संपदा महानिदेशालय द्वारा आयोजित किया जा रहा है, जिसका मुख्य विषय '2047 तक आत्मनिर्भर भारत के लिए रणनीतिक रोडमैप' है। रक्षा संपदा विभाग: रक्षा भूमि के प्रबंधन के लिए उत्तरदायी है ।

 9. The Indian Service of Defence Engineers (IDSE) celebrated its 76th Raising Day at the Manekshaw Centre, Delhi Cantt. IDSE was formally established on September 17, 1949. Officers of this cadre, posted at military bases across the country, are responsible for the construction and maintenance of defence infrastructure, ranging from marital quarters, technical and administrative buildings to airports, hangars, naval piers, hospitals and specialised facilities for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and DRDO.

भारतीय रक्षा इंजीनियर सेवा (आईडीएसई) ने  दिल्ली कैंट स्थित मानेकशॉ सेंटर में अपना 76वां स्थापना दिवस मनाया। आईडीएसई की औपचारिक स्थापना 17 सितंबर, 1949 को हुई थी देश भर के सैन्य केंद्रों पर तैनात इस संवर्ग के अधिकारी, वैवाहिक आवासों, तकनीकी और प्रशासनिक भवनों से लेकर हवाई अड्डों, हैंगरों, नौसेना घाटों, अस्पतालों और सेना, नौसेना, वायु सेना, तटरक्षक बल एवं डीआरडीओ के लिए विशेष सुविधाओं तक, रक्षा अवसंरचना के निर्माण और रखरखाव का दायित्‍व निभाते हैं।

 10.  September 18 was first marked as International Equal Pay Day by the United Nations General Assembly in 2019, following efforts by the Equal Pay International Coalition (EPIC), which is led by the International Labour Organization (ILO), UN Women and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

18 सितंबर को पहली बार 2019 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा द्वारा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समान वेतन दिवस के रूप में चिह्नित किया गया था, जो कि समान वेतन अंतर्राष्ट्रीय गठबंधन (ईपीआईसी) के प्रयासों के बाद हुआ था, जिसका नेतृत्व अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रम संगठन (आईएलओ), संयुक्त राष्ट्र महिला और आर्थिक सहयोग और विकास संगठन (ओईसीडी) द्वारा किया जाता है।
