1. For the welfare of truck drivers, the Ministry of Petroleum and
Natural Gas has launched the 'Apna Ghar' initiative, under which 368 rest units
with 4,611 beds will be set up by July 1, 2025. Located on highways, these
clean facilities provide essential amenities. The project has received a
positive response and reflects the government's efforts to upgrade logistics
infrastructure.

2 The
National Human Rights Commission supported a National Conference on Ageing
jointly organised by Sankalp Foundation, NITI Aayog and key Ministries. Justice
Shri V. Ramasubramanian, Chairperson, National Human Rights Commission
emphasised on incorporating Indian cultural values in policies for the welfare
of senior citizens. A report titled “Ageing in India: Emerging Realities,
Evolving Responses” was released to guide inclusive and sustainable elder care.

3. Aiming to take on Ola and Uber, eight major cooperatives,
including the National Cooperative Development Corporation, have joined hands
to launch 'Bharat' taxi service under the Multi-State Cooperative Taxi
Cooperative Ltd. Backed by a capital of Rs 300 crore and 200 drivers across
four states, the initiative is a significant step towards promoting
cooperative-led services, which is expected to be launched by the end of 2025.

4. Veteran
tribal leader Shibu Soren passed away at the age of 81. He was the founder of
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). Soren led the JMM for nearly four decades. He
played a major role in the separate Jharkhand movement. He was the Chief
Minister of Jharkhand thrice. He was popularly known as 'Guruji' among his
supporters.

Philippines are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of their
diplomatic relations. Diplomatic relations between India and the Philippines
were established in November 1949. This visit will further strengthen the

6. For the first time, the BIMSTEC
Traditional Music Festival is being held in New Delhi. The festival will be
inaugurated by External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. The artists of the
festival include artists from seven BIMSTEC countries: India, Bangladesh,
Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Title of the festival:
'Saptasura: Seven Nations, One Raga'. The festival is organized by the Indian
Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR).

7. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha launched the
teaser and brochure of Basohli Utsav 2025. This is the third edition of the
annual Basohli festival. The theme of 2025 is based on Ramayana. It is
organised by IGNCA, Vishwasthali and other stakeholders. Basohli painting, a
major regional art form, received the GI tag in 2023. IGNCA is promoting the
unique artistic and cultural heritage of Basohli.

8. Bengaluru has ranked 26th in the Global Artificial Intelligence
(AI) City Index, according to a report by market research firm Counterpoint
Research. Bengaluru, Riyadh, Hangzhou and Sao Paulo are among the
fastest-growing AI hubs worldwide, according to the '2025 AI City Index'. In
India, Bengaluru topped the ranking, followed by Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and
Kolkata.Globally, Singapore has secured the title of the world's leading AI city,
followed by Seoul, Beijing, Dubai and San Francisco in the top five.

9. FSSAI in collaboration with the Ministry of AYUSH has released a
list of Ayurveda dietary products. This list follows the Ayurveda Diet
Regulations, 2022. This list is based on the classical Ayurvedic texts of
Schedule 'A'. It has been issued under Note (1) of Schedule 'B' of the 2022
Regulations. This ensures authenticity and promotes consumer confidence.

10. Abdullah Abubakar won the men's triple jump event at the
Kosanov Memorial 2025 held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The 29-year-old Indian won
the gold medal with a jump of 16.08m. He won just 1cm ahead of South Korea's Yu
Gumin and Kim Jung-woo. The qualifying mark for the World Championships is
17.22m. The World Athletics Championships will be held in Tokyo.
