 1. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launched a comprehensive insurance scheme for municipal employees during the Swachh Andhra-Swarna Andhra Abhiyan at Peddapuram in Kakinada. Insurance cover: ₹1 crore for regular municipal employees (accidental death); ₹20 lakh for outsourced employees (accidental death). Education assistance: Assistance up to ₹8 lakh for children of both municipal and outsourced employees.

आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री एन. चंद्रबाबू नायडू ने काकीनाडा के पेद्दापुरम में स्वच्छ आंध्र-स्वर्ण आंध्र अभियान के दौरान नगरपालिका कर्मचारियों के लिए एक व्यापक बीमा योजना का शुभारंभ किया। बीमा कवर: नियमित नगरपालिका कर्मचारियों (आकस्मिक मृत्यु) के लिए ₹1 करोड़; आउटसोर्स कर्मचारियों (आकस्मिक मृत्यु) के लिए ₹20 लाख। शिक्षा सहायता: नगरपालिका और आउटसोर्स कर्मचारियों, दोनों के बच्चों के लिए ₹8 लाख तक की सहायता।

2. NASA unveils the second CHAPEA habitat, a 1,700 square foot 3D-printed structure for Mars mission simulation. The mission will see 4 crew members living in isolation for up to a year. Objective: To study the physiological and psychological effects of long-duration space missions. Crew tasks: Scientific experiments, vegetable farming, habitat maintenance and simulation.

NASA ने मंगल मिशन सिमुलेशन के लिए 1,700 वर्ग फुट का 3D-मुद्रित संरचना, दूसरा CHAPEA आवास का अनावरण किया। इस मिशन में 4 चालक दल के सदस्य एक वर्ष तक एकांतवास में रहेंगे। उद्देश्य: लंबी अवधि के अंतरिक्ष मिशनों के शारीरिक और मनोवैज्ञानिक प्रभावों का अध्ययन करना। चालक दल के कार्य: वैज्ञानिक प्रयोग, सब्जी की खेती, आवास रखरखा और अनुकरण।

3. Two-day FIBAC conference on 'Setting New Dimensions' inaugurated in Mumbai (August 25-26). Organised jointly by FICCI and Indian Banks' Association (IBA). Regulatory review cell announced to review regulations every 5-7 years. RBI looking at ways to expand bank credit for growth. Conference to discuss emerging banking issues, success strategies and future roadmap.

मुंबई में 'नए आयाम स्थापित करना' विषय पर दो दिवसीय FIBAC सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन (25-26 अगस्त)। FICCI और भारतीय बैंक संघ (IBA) द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से आयोजित। प्रत्येक 5-7 वर्षों में विनियमों की समीक्षा के लिए नियामक समीक्षा प्रकोष्ठ की घोषणा की गई। RBI विकास के लिए बैंक ऋण विस्तार के तरीकों पर विचार कर रहा है। उभरते बैंकिंग मुद्दों, सफलता की रणनीतियों और भविष्य की रूपरेखा पर चर्चा के लिए सम्मेलन।

4. The New Development Bank (NDB) set up by the BRICS countries has appointed Dr Rajiv Ranjan, a former member of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), as its Vice President and Chief Risk Officer (CRO). The veteran central banker's five-year term was announced on August 23, 2025. The New Development Bank (NDB) was established in 2014 by the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa).

ब्रिक्स देशों द्वारा स्थापित न्यू डेवलपमेंट बैंक (एनडीबी) ने भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक (आरबीआई) की मौद्रिक नीति समिति (एमपीसी) के पूर्व सदस्य डॉ. राजीव रंजन को अपना उपाध्यक्ष और मुख्य जोखिम अधिकारी (सीआरओ) नियुक्त किया है। 23 अगस्त, 2025 को इस अनुभवी केंद्रीय बैंकर के पाँच साल के कार्यकाल की घोषणा की गई। ब्रिक्स देशों (ब्राजील, रूस, भारत, चीन, दक्षिण अफ्रीका) द्वारा स्थापित 2014  में स्थापित किया गया था।

5. Goa, India, will host the FIDE World Cup 2025 from October 31 to November 27, with 206 players competing for a prize fund of $2 million and three Candidates Tournament places. The knockout tournament, played in an eight-round format, is a significant moment for Indian chess. The event comes after India's recent chess successes, including D Gukesh becoming world champion.

गोवा, भारत, 31 अक्टूबर से 27 नवंबर तक FIDE विश्व कप 2025 की मेज़बानी करेगा, जिसमें 206 खिलाड़ी 20 लाख डॉलर की इनामी राशि और तीन कैंडिडेट्स टूर्नामेंट स्थानों के लिए प्रतिस्पर्धा करेंगे। आठ राउंड के प्रारूप में खेला जाने वाला यह नॉकआउट टूर्नामेंट भारतीय शतरंज के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण क्षण है। यह आयोजन भारत की हालिया शतरंज सफलताओं के बाद हो रहा है, जिसमें डी गुकेश का विश्व चैंपियन बनना भी शामिल है।

6. Udaygiri has been built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders of Mumbai, while Himgiri has been built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers of Kolkata. The special thing is that Udaygiri is the 100th ship designed by the Navy's Warship Design Bureau. These ships, weighing about 6700 tons, are bigger and more advanced than the Shivalik class. Their design is such that they are capable of dodging radars. They have both diesel engines and gas turbines, modern missiles, cannons and anti-submarine weapons.

उदयगिरि को मुंबई के मझगांव डॉक शिपबिल्डर्स ने बनाया गया है, जबकि हिमगिरि को कोलकाता के गार्डन रीच शिपबिल्डर्स एंड इंजीनियर्स ने तैयार किया है। खास बात यह है कि उदयगिरि नौसेना के वॉरशिप डिजाइन ब्यूरो का 100वां डिजाइन किया गया जहाज है। करीब 6700 टन वजनी ये जहाज शिवालिक क्लास से बड़े और ज्यादा उन्नत हैं। इनका डिजाइन ऐसा है कि ये रडार को चकमा देने में सक्षम हैं। इनमें डीजल इंजन और गैस टर्बाइन दोनों लगे हैं, आधुनिक मिसाइलें, तोप और पनडुब्बी रोधी हथियार भी हैं।

7. NHAI in collaboration with Vertis Infrastructure Trust announced the launch of 'Project Arohan'. The first phase of 'Project Arohan', implemented by Bharat Cares of SMEC Trust, will have an allocation of Rs 1 crore and will run from July 2025 to March 2026. The project aims to cover 500 students from class 11 to final year of graduation, each of whom will receive an annual scholarship of Rs 12,000 during FY 2025-26.

एनएचएआई ने वर्टिस इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर ट्रस्ट के साथ मिलकर 'प्रोजेक्ट आरोहण' की शुरुआत की घोषणा की। एसएमईसी ट्रस्ट के भारत केयर्स द्वारा कार्यान्वित 'प्रोजेक्ट आरोहण' के पहले चरण के लिए 1 करोड़ रुपये का आवंटन किया जाएगा और यह जुलाई 2025 से मार्च 2026 तक चलेगा। इस परियोजना का उद्देश्य कक्षा 11 से स्नातक अंतिम वर्ष तक के 500 छात्रों को शामिल करना है, जिनमें से प्रत्येक को वित्त वर्ष 2025-26 के दौरान 12,000 रुपये की वार्षिक छात्रवृत्ति मिलेगी।

8. The Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Tuesday approved the acquisition of Jaiprakash Associates by Adani entities. In an official statement, CCI said that the deal proposes acquisition of up to 100 per cent stake in JAL by Adani Enterprises (AEL), Adani Infrastructure and Developers (AIDPL), or any other entity of the Adani Group. JAL is undergoing corporate insolvency resolution process under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), 2016 on the direction of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Allahabad bench.

भारतीय प्रतिस्पर्धा आयोग ( CCI) ने मंगलवार को अडानी एंटिटीज द्वारा जयप्रकाश एसोसिएट्स के अधिग्रहण को मंज़ूरी दे दी । एक आधिकारिक बयान में, CCI ने कहा कि इस सौदे में अडानी एंटरप्राइजेज (AEL), अडानी इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर एंड डेवलपर्स (AIDPL), या अडानी समूह की किसी अन्य इकाई द्वारा JAL की 100 प्रतिशत तक हिस्सेदारी का अधिग्रहण प्रस्तावित है । जेएएल राष्ट्रीय कंपनी कानून न्यायाधिकरण (एनसीएलटी), इलाहाबाद पीठ के निर्देश पर दिवाला और दिवालियापन संहिता (आईबीसी), 2016 के तहत कॉर्पोरेट दिवाला समाधान प्रक्रिया से गुजर रही है।

9. NABARD is planning to take its first external commercial borrowing in FY26. The Reserve Bank of India has already approved it. The funds will support climate change projects. NABARD will set up an office in GIFT City for this purpose. The bank is waiting for the right time to borrow. It is avoiding domestic issuances due to high yields.

नाबार्ड वित्त वर्ष 2026 में अपनी पहली बाह्य वाणिज्यिक उधारी लेने की योजना बना रहा है। भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक ने पहले ही इसकी मंज़ूरी दे दी है। यह धनराशि जलवायु परिवर्तन परियोजनाओं को सहायता प्रदान करेगी। नाबार्ड इस उद्देश्य के लिए गिफ्ट सिटी में एक कार्यालय स्थापित करेगा। बैंक उधार लेने के लिए सही समय का इंतज़ार कर रहा है। उच्च प्रतिफल के कारण यह घरेलू निर्गमों से बच रहा है।

10. The Tobacco Board Act, 1975 was enacted to promote the orderly development of the tobacco industry in India. The Act establishes the Tobacco Board, constituted on January 1, 1976, as a statutory body headquartered at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh and functioning under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The main functions of the Board are to regulate the production and marketing of tobacco, issue licenses, and carry out research and development activities relating to the tobacco industry.

तंबाकू बोर्ड अधिनियम, 1975 भारत में तम्बाकू उद्योग के व्यवस्थित विकास को बढ़ावा देने के लिए लागू किया गया था. यह अधिनियम 1 जनवरी, 1976 को गठित तंबाकू बोर्ड को एक सांविधिक निकाय के रूप में स्थापित करता है, जिसका मुख्यालय गुंटूर, आंध्र प्रदेश में है और यह वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्रालय के अधीन कार्य करता है. बोर्ड का मुख्य कार्य तंबाकू के उत्पादन और विपणन को विनियमित करना, लाइसेंस जारी करना, और तंबाकू उद्योग से संबंधित अनुसंधान और विकास गतिविधियों को संचालित करना है।
