1. The government has granted privileges and immunities to IBCA officials under the United Nations Act, 1947. The move is in line with the Host Country Agreement between India and IBCA. The move enables IBCA to act as a global platform for the conservation of big cats IBCA will be launched by PM Modi in April 2023; it covers seven big cats. First convention held in New Delhi (June 2025); chaired by Bhupendra Yadav.

 2   Under-20 World Wrestling Championships 2025, held in Samokov, Bulgaria. India won 9 medals: 2 gold, 4 silver, 3 bronze. Gold: Kajal (Women's 72 kg), Tapasya Gehlawat (Women's 57 kg). India performed better than the 2024 edition (7 medals: 1 gold, 1 silver, 5 bronze).

अंडर-20 विश्व कुश्ती चैंपियनशिप 2025, समोकोव, बुल्गारिया में आयोजित।भारत ने 9 पदक जीते: 2 स्वर्ण, 4 रजत, 3 कांस्य। स्वर्ण: काजल (महिला 72 किग्रा), तपस्या गहलावत (महिला 57 किग्रा)। भारत ने 2024 संस्करण की तुलना में बेहतर प्रदर्शन (7 पदक: 1 स्वर्ण, 1 रजत, 5 कांस्य) किया।

 3. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will lead the Indian delegation to the 68th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) in Bridgetown, Barbados. Birla will address the General Assembly on the theme 'The Commonwealth: A Global Partner'. The CPC is one of the largest gatherings of parliamentarians from the 180 branches of the CPA, promoting dialogue on democracy and governance.

लोकसभा अध्यक्ष ओम बिरला ब्रिजटाउन, बारबाडोस में 68वें राष्ट्रमंडल संसदीय सम्मेलन (CPC) में भारतीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल का नेतृत्व करेंगे। बिरला 'द कामनवेल्थ: ए ग्लोबल पार्टनर' विषय पर महासभा को संबोधित करेंगे। CPC, CPA की 180 शाखाओं के सांसदों के सबसे बड़े सम्मेलनों में से एक है, जो लोकतंत्र और शासन पर संवाद को बढ़ावा देता है।

 4. CISF launched its first all-women commando unit to promote gender equality. The training is being conducted at Regional Training Centre, Barwaha (Madhya Pradesh). 30 women personnel are taking the 8-week advanced course. The training includes fitness, weapons, live-fire, rappelling and survival drills. The commandos will be included in the Quick Reaction Team and Special Task Force.

 5. India's compound men's under-21 team defeated Germany to win their first junior world title. Team: Kushal Dalal, Mihir Apaar, Ganesh Maniratnam. In the same event, the compound men's under-18 team also defeated the USA to win the gold medal. Under-18 team: Mohit Dagar, Yogesh Joshi, Devansh Singh. Venue: 2025 World Archery Youth Championships, Canada. Double world title win for Indian youth archers.

 6. The IMD Smart City Index 2025 ranks 146 cities based on their effective integration of technology and infrastructure to improve urban life. Each city receives a Smart City Ranking, which reflects its overall position compared to all other cities, based on its rating and related components. Zurich remains the world's smartest city. Dubai (▲8) and Abu Dhabi (▲5) have improved the fastest. Delhi tops the Indian cities at 104th place.

7. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched 'Swachh Kurukshetra - Mera Kurukshetra, Mera Abhiman' mission. Objective: To make Kurukshetra the cleanest and most beautiful city of India. Launching ceremony held at Geeta Gyan Sansthanam, Kurukshetra. Duration of mission: 11 weeks (August 24 - November 7, 2025). Citizens and officials took cleanliness pledge; campaign poster unveiled A part of Haryana City Swachhta Abhiyan - 2025.

8. Mirabai Chanu won the gold medal at the Commonwealth Championships held in Ahmedabad. She lifted a total of 193 kg. This performance broke the Commonwealth records in total, snatch, and clean and jerk. This is Chanu's return to competition after a year. The Tokyo Olympics silver medallist lifted a total of 193 kg (84 kg + 109 kg) to break the Commonwealth total, snatch, and clean and jerk records and top the podium in the women's 48 kg category.

9. Northeast United FC has once again etched its name in Indian football history by winning the Durand Cup for the second consecutive year. It defeated Diamond Harbor FC 6-1 in the final. Defending champions Northeast United FC were up against first-time finalists Diamond Harbor FC at Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan (VYBK) in Kolkata. Diamond Harbor FC played a very good game in the beginning of the game.

नॉर्थईस्ट यूनाइटेड एफसी ने लगातार दूसरे वर्ष डूरंड कप जीतकर एक बार फिर भारतीय फुटबॉल इतिहास में अपना नाम दर्ज करा लिया है। फाइनल मुकाबले में उसने डायमंड हार्बर एफसी को 6-1 से हराया। कोलकाता के विवेकानंद युवा भारती क्रीड़ांगन (वीवाईबीके) में गत विजेता नॉर्थईस्ट यूनाइटेड एफसी का सामना पहली बार फाइनल में पहुंची डायमंड हार्बर एफसी से हो रहा था। खेल के शुरू में डायमंड हार्बर एफसी ने काफी अच्छा खेल का प्रदर्शन किया।

10. Bank of Maharashtra aims to meet the 25% minimum public shareholding limit. Another share sale will help the bank reduce government stake. The finance ministry has asked five public sector banks to increase their public shareholding by August 1, 2026. Bank of Maharashtra had raised Rs 3,500 crore through a QIP in October. The bank is exploring options to raise funds. Currently, the government holds 79.6% stake in the Pune-headquartered bank.

बैंक ऑफ महाराष्ट्र का लक्ष्य 25% न्यूनतम सार्वजनिक शेयरधारिता की सीमा को पूरा करना है। एक और शेयर बिक्री से बैंक को सरकारी हिस्सेदारी कम करने में मदद मिलेगी। वित्त मंत्रालय ने पाँच सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों को 1 अगस्त, 2026 तक अपनी सार्वजनिक शेयरधारिता बढ़ाने को कहा है। बैंक ऑफ महाराष्ट्र ने अक्टूबर में क्यूआईपी के ज़रिए 3,500 करोड़ रुपये जुटाए थे। बैंक धन जुटाने के विकल्पों पर विचार कर रहा है। वर्तमान में, पुणे मुख्यालय वाले इस बैंक में सरकार की 79.6% हिस्सेदारी है।
