1. UIDAI has engaged Starlink Satellite Communication Pvt Ltd to
use Aadhaar for customer verification. Starlink will use Aadhaar-based e-KYC to
onboard Indian users. The process will be voluntary and compliant with KYC
regulations and data security norms. Starlink has been appointed as both
sub-AUA and sub-eKYC UA, thereby gaining access to UIDAI's secure systems

skill training. Workers must return to West Bengal and must have a valid bank
account.

developed two potential antibiotics using generative AI to target
drug-resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus
aureus (MRSA). Gonorrhoea is a sexually transmitted infection caused by the
Neisseria gonorrhoeae bacterium.Antibiotics are antimicrobial agents that
target specific bacterial processes, inhibiting their growth or killing them.

6. The 'Population Assessment and Habitat
Ecology Study of Saltwater Crocodiles in Sundarbans 2025' reports an increase
in the population of saltwater crocodiles in the Sundarbans Biosphere Reserve
(SBR). Saltwater crocodiles (Crocodylus porosus) are found in India's marshy
areas, rivers, mangroves of Odisha, West Bengal and Andaman and Nicobar
Islands. They are the largest living reptiles on Earth.

7. The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has imposed a
fine of Rs 10 lakh on online ride-hailing platform Rapido, operated by Roopen
Transportation Services Pvt Ltd, for publishing misleading advertisements and
indulging in unfair trade practices. The authority has also directed Rapido to
ensure that consumers who availed the “Get Auto or ₹50 in 5 minutes” offer and
did not receive the promised compensation are refunded the full amount without
any delay or condition.

8. India and Saudi Arabia have agreed to enhance maritime
cooperation by setting up a Joint Working Group (JWG) on Shipping and
Logistics. The decision was formalised during a high-level virtual meeting
between India's Union Transport Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Saudi Arabia's
Minister of Transport and Logistics Services Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser on

9. India has strongly rejected Nepal's objections to the resumption
of border trade with China through the Lipulekh pass, saying Nepal's
territorial claims lack justification and historical basis. The foreign
ministry stressed that trade through the pass has been ongoing since 1954,
which has been disrupted only due to recent events. In 2020, Nepal had sparked
a border dispute by releasing a political map that showed Kalapani,
Limpiyadhura and Lipulekh as part of the country.
