1. World Wide Web Day is celebrated every year on 1 August. The
day celebrates the invention of the World Wide Web (WWW) - the cornerstone of
the digital revolution. The WWW was invented by Sir Tim Berners-Lee in 1989. It
became publicly available in 1991. The theme for 2025 is 'Empowering the
Future: Building an Inclusive, Safe, and Open Web'.

commissioned its first indigenously developed 1 MW green hydrogen plant. It is
located at Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla. It is part of a larger 10 MW
project to enable clean maritime operations. This is the first green hydrogen
facility at any Indian port. It is a completely Make-in-India initiative, led
by Indian engineers.

3. Bengaluru-based space outreach organisation, Protoplanet has
launched the HOPE station. HOPE stands for 'Human Outer Planet Exploration'.
The station is located in the Tso Kar Basin in Ladakh and simulates the
conditions of the Moon and Mars. The station simulates the terrain and
atmosphere outside the Earth. It is provided technical and financial support by
ISRO.

Harappan site has been discovered at Ratadia Ri Dheri in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
It is the first known Indus Valley settlement in Jaisalmer district. The site
is located 17 km northwest of Sadewala in Pakistan, where earlier Harappan
remains were found. The discovery bridges the archaeological gap between
northern Rajasthan and Gujarat.

5. UN Women will celebrate
its 15th anniversary in 2025. It is a UN body focused on gender equality and
women's empowerment. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly
in July 2010. It has been in operation since January 2011. It serves as the
secretariat of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). The
UN Women Executive Board has 41 member countries
संयुक्त राष्ट्र महिला 2025 में अपनी 15वीं वर्षगांठ

6. Myanmar's National Defence and Security
Council (NDSC) has formed a new federal government and a State Security and
Peace Commission. U Nyo Saw has been appointed the Prime Minister of the new
federal government. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing will chair the State
Security and Peace Commission. The state of emergency has been lifted for
general elections.

7. Life-size statues of legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar and
former BCCI president Sharad Pawar will be installed. These statues will be
installed at the entrance of the new Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) museum.
The museum is named 'MCA Sharad Pawar Cricket Museum'. This museum is located
at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. This museum is a tribute to Mumbai's cricket
heritage and its great players.

8. The third ship of the Nilgiri class (Project 17A) frigate was
delivered to the Indian Navy. It is the first ship of the class built at Garden
Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata. The ship named Himgiri is the
reincarnation of the erstwhile INS Himgiri, which was a Leander class frigate
and was decommissioned on 6 May 2005 after 30 years of service.

को सेवामुक्त कर दिया गया था।
9. Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA), under
the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has launched a 100-day campaign called
'Saksham Investor', running from July 28 to November 6. This national campaign
aims to empower shareholders by creating awareness about undeclared dividends
held by companies and guide them through the process of updating their KYC and
nomination details to retrieve their rightful dividends.
