1. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has prohibited banks and other regulated lenders from levying pre-payment penalties on floating rate loans taken by individuals for non-business purposes. The new norm, namely Pre-payment Charges on Loans Directions, 2025, will be effective from 2026. It aims to promote transparency and borrower flexibility.

भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने बैंकों और अन्य विनियमित उधारदाताओं को गैर-व्यावसायिक उद्देश्यों के लिए व्यक्तियों द्वारा लिए गए फ्लोटिंग रेट लोन पर प्री-पेमेंट पेनाल्टी लगाने से प्रतिबंधित कर दिया है। नया मानदंड, अर्थात् ऋण पर प्री-पेमेंट शुल्क निर्देश, 2025, 2026 से प्रभावी होगा। इसका उद्देश्य पारदर्शिता और उधारकर्ता लचीलेपन को बढ़ावा देना है।

2. In a significant step towards food self-sufficiency, Ghana has partnered with India's Arima Farms and CSIR-Crop Research Institute to launch the Climate-Resilient Wheat Initiative. With wheat imports exceeding $400 million annually, the project aims to reduce dependency and boost local farming. South-South cooperation is spurring agricultural innovation.

खाद्यान्न आत्मनिर्भरता की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाते हुए, घाना ने भारत के अरिमा फार्म्स और CSIR-फसल अनुसंधान संस्थान के साथ मिलकर जलवायु-अनुकूल गेहूं पहल शुरू की है। गेहूं का आयात सालाना 400 मिलियन डॉलर से अधिक होने के साथ, इस परियोजना का उद्देश्य निर्भरता को कम करना और स्थानीय खेती को बढ़ावा देना है। दक्षिण-दक्षिण सहयोग कृषि नवाचार को बढ़ावा दे रहा है।

3. PM Narendra Modi arrived in Ghana on the first leg of his five-nation tour. The PM addressed the Parliament of Ghana during his visit to the West African country. PM Narendra Modi received Ghana's national honour 'Officer of the Order of the Star' for global leadership from President John Mahama during the historic state visit, the first by an Indian PM in three decades.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी अपने पांच देशों के दौरे के पहले चरण में घाना पहुंचे। पश्चिमी अफ्रीकी देश की अपनी यात्रा के दौरान प्रधानमंत्री ने घाना की संसद को संबोधित किया। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने ऐतिहासिक राजकीय यात्रा के दौरान वैश्विक नेतृत्व के लिए राष्ट्रपति जॉन महामा से घाना के राष्ट्रीय सम्मान 'ऑफिसर ऑफ द ऑर्डर ऑफ द स्टार' को प्राप्त किया, जो तीन दशकों में किसी भारतीय प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा किया गया पहला दौरा था।

4. The QUAD group has launched an ambitious initiative to ensure stable supplies of critical minerals as part of a broader goal of strengthening economic security amid concerns over China's coercive tactics, including price manipulation and restrictions on exports of critical resources. It was announced after a meeting of foreign ministers of the group's member countries in the US capital.

5. The Bihar Cabinet has also approved the Mukhyamantri Guru-Shishya Parampara Yojana to preserve, promote and develop the state's rich cultural heritage, including rare and endangered arts. Under the scheme, gurus will be given Rs 15,000 per month as incentive, while musicians will be given Rs 7,500 and students Rs 3,000.

बिहार कैबिनेट ने राज्य की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत को संरक्षित करने, बढ़ावा देने और विकसित करने के लिए मुख्यमंत्री गुरु-शिष्य परंपरा योजना को भी मंजूरी दी है, जिसमें दुर्लभ और लुप्तप्राय कलाएं शामिल हैं। इस योजना के अंतर्गत गुरुओं को प्रोत्साहन के रूप में प्रति माह 15,000 रुपये दिए जाएंगे, जबकि संगीतकारों को 7,500 रुपये और विद्यार्थियों को 3,000 रुपये दिए जाएंगे।

6. The Indore Municipal Corporation has launched an innovative digital transformation project to replace conventional address formats with QR-coded digital plates containing GPS locations. This first-in-India initiative is set to enhance urban governance by providing seamless civic services.

इंदौर नगर निगम ने पारंपरिक पते के प्रारूपों को जीपीएस स्थानों से युक्त क्यूआर-कोडेड डिजिटल प्लेटों से बदलने के लिए एक अभिनव डिजिटल परिवर्तन परियोजना शुरू की है। भारत में पहली बार की गई यह पहल निर्बाध नागरिक सेवा प्रदान करके शहरी शासन को बढ़ाने के लिए तैयार है।

7. Former Indian cricketer and head coach Ravi Shastri was among the 11 players who were honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Mumbai Sports Journalists Association. The other players included: Shubhangi Kulkarni, Michael Ferreira, Neeraj Bajaj, Praveen Thipsay, Anjali Bhagwat, Suma Shirur, Deepali Deshpande, Mervyn Fernandes, Joaquim Carvalho, Sanjay Sharma.

8. Petrol vehicles older than 15 years and diesel vehicles older than 10 years will not get fuel in Delhi. The Delhi government had issued a standard operating procedure (SOP) to enforce the ban on refuelling expired vehicles and made it mandatory for petrol pumps to maintain a log of all unapproved fuel transactions involving such vehicles. The move is aimed at improving air quality.

दिल्ली में 15 वर्ष से पुराने पेट्रोल वाहनों और 10 वर्ष से पुराने डीजल वाहनों को ईंधन नहीं मिलेगा। दिल्ली सरकार ने जीवन-काल समाप्त हो चुके वाहनों में ईंधन भरने पर प्रतिबंध लागू करने के लिए मानक संचालन प्रक्रिया (SOP) जारी की थी और पेट्रोल पंपों को ऐसे वाहनों से जुड़े सभी अस्वीकृत ईंधन लेनदेन का लॉग बनाए रखना अनिवार्य कर दिया था। इस कदम का उद्देश्य वायु गुणवत्ता में सुधार करना है।

9. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the Jan Suraksha Santushti Abhiyan in Gandhinagar. Its aim is to identify eligible citizens who have not yet received benefits under government welfare schemes and to reach out to them. The schemes covered include Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana and Jan Dhan Yojana.

 

गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री भूपेन्द्र पटेल ने गांधीनगर में जन सुरक्षा संतुष्टि अभियान की शुरुआत की। इसका उद्देश्य उन पात्र नागरिकों की पहचान करना है जिन्हें अभी तक सरकारी कल्याण योजनाओं के अंतर्गत लाभ नहीं मिला है और उन तक यह लाभ पहुंचाना है। सम्मिलित योजनाओं में प्रधान मंत्री जीवन ज्योति बीमा योजना, प्रधान मंत्री सुरक्षा बीमा योजना, अटल पेंशन योजना और जन धन योजना शामिल हैं।

10.  The Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) came into force in 1997. The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) is the implementing body for the Chemical Weapons Convention, whose 193 member states oversee the global effort to permanently and verifiably eliminate chemical weapons. The OPCW was awarded the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize for its extensive efforts in eliminating chemical weapons. India is an original signatory to the Convention.

रासायनिक अस्‍त्र समझौता (सीडब्ल्यूसी) 1997 में लागू हुआ। रासायनिक अस्‍त्र निषेध संगठन (ओपीसीडब्ल्यू) रासायनिक अस्‍त्र समझौते के लिए कार्यान्वयन निकाय है, जिसके 193 सदस्य देश रासायनिक अस्‍त्रों को स्थायी रूप से और सत्यापन योग्य रूप से समाप्त करने के वैश्विक प्रयास की निगरानी करते हैं। रासायनिक अस्‍त्रों को खत्म करने में अपने व्यापक प्रयासों के लिए ओपीसीडब्ल्यू को 2013 का नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार प्रदान किया गया था। भारत इस समझौते का मूल हस्ताक्षरकर्ता है।

11. Bank of Baroda (the Bank), one of India’s leading Public Sector Banks, has won the Gold Award in the Public Sector Banks category at the “National MSME Impact Awards 2025” organised by India SME Forum, India’s largest not-for-profit organisation for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), representing over 98,200 MSME members (including over 9,400 women entrepreneurs).

भारत के अग्रणी सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों में से एक, बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा (बैंक) ने इंडिया एसएमई फोरम द्वारा आयोजित "राष्ट्रीय एमएसएमई प्रभाव पुरस्कार 2025" में सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों की श्रेणी में स्वर्ण पुरस्कार जीता है, जो कि सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम उद्यमों (एमएसएमई) के लिए भारत का सबसे बड़ा गैर-लाभकारी संगठन है, जो 98,200 से अधिक एमएसएमई सदस्यों (9,400 से अधिक महिला उद्यमियों सहित) का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है।
