1. Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) launched the last of the two
indigenous Pollution Control Vessels (PCVs) for the Indian Coast Guard (ICG)
'Samudra Prachet'. The vessel has 72% indigenous content, which will boost
national capacity, MSME participation, employment generation and skill
enhancement. Objective: To provide quick and effective response in case of oil
spill in India's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).

Bank of India (SBI) has been declared the 'World's Best Consumer Bank' for
2025. The award is given by the prestigious international financial
publication, Global Finance magazine. The award ceremony will be held in
Washington, D.C. The award will be received by SBI Chairman C.S. Shetty.

3. Fino Payments Bank has launched a new digital savings account
called 'GATI'.The initiative aims to promote UPI transactions in rural and
semi-urban areas of West Bengal. GATI is a zero-balance, instant
transaction-enabled digital savings account. It targets digitally inclined
customers, especially those who are underserved by traditional banks.
फिनो पेमेंट्स बैंक ने 'GATI' नाम से एक नया डिजिटल बचत खाता शुरू किया है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य पश्चिम बंगाल

4. The
Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE) has ordered the elimination of
SMS and email-based OTP for financial transactions by March 31, 2026. The
directive applies to all financial institutions. It aims to enhance digital
banking security by replacing insecure OTP methods.The move is in line with
global trends, as countries such as Singapore and Malaysia are doing the same.
संयुक्त अरब अमीरात के केंद्रीय बैंक (सीबीयूएई) ने 31
मार्च, 2026 तक वित्तीय लेनदेन के लिए एसएमएस और ईमेल-आधारित ओटीपी को समाप्त करने का

वैश्विक रुझानों के अनुरूप है, क्योंकि सिंगापुर और मलेशिया जैसे देश भी ऐसा ही कर रहे
हैं।
5. Goa has been filing a
case in the Supreme Court against Karnataka, accusing it of illegally diverting
water from the Kalasa, a tributary of the Mhadei river. Origin: Western Ghats (Bhimgad
Wildlife Sanctuary, Karnataka) Basin: (Goa 78%, Karnataka 18%, Maharashtra 4%) It flows through Karnataka into Goa, where it
is known as the Mandovi and drains into the Arabian Sea.

6. India and the UK on Thursday signed the much-awaited free trade agreement (FTA), which is expected to boost bilateral trade to $34 billion annually. The agreement, finalised in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, will eliminate duties on 99% of India's exports to the UK, including textiles, leather, generic medicines and agricultural products.
भारत और ब्रिटेन ने गुरुवार को बहुप्रतीक्षित मुक्त व्यापार
समझौते (एफटीए) पर हस्ताक्षर किए, जिससे द्विपक्षीय व्यापार में सालाना 34 अरब डॉलर की वृद्धि

7. India has achieved the
target of 20% ethanol blending in petrol by 2025, five years ahead of the
original target of 2030. Ethanol blending has increased from 1.5% in 2014 to
20% in 2025, representing a 13-fold increase. This was announced by Petroleum
and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Ethanol production increased from
38 crore litres (2014) to 661.1 crore litres (June 2025).
भारत ने 2025 तक पेट्रोल में 20% इथेनॉल मिश्रण का लक्ष्य

8. ISRO's Vikram
Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) has signed an MoU with the National Institute of
Ocean Technology (NIOT). They will jointly develop a submersible spherical
vessel called Matsya-6000. MATSYA-6000 is a human-borne vehicle (HOV) designed
to carry humans up to 6 kilometres underwater. VSSC is responsible for the
design and material development of this HOV.

के विक्रम साराभाई अंतरिक्ष केंद्र (VSSC) ने राष्ट्रीय
महासागर प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (NIOT) के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन

9. Vikramaditya Chowfla has
been named the captain of the Indian team for the World Racketlon Championship.
The competition will be held in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Racketlon is a
multi-racket sport, which includes table tennis, badminton, squash and tennis.
He won a silver medal in the individual category at the 2022 World
Championships.
विक्रमादित्य चौफला को विश्व रैकेटलॉन चैंपियनशिप के लिए
भारतीय टीम का कप्तान बनाया गया है। यह प्रतियोगिता नीदरलैंड के रॉटरडैम में

10. The report titled
"Towards Resilient and Prosperous Cities in India" was released by
the World Bank. It was prepared in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing
and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). The report studied 24 Indian cities, specifically
Chennai, Indore, New Delhi, Lucknow, Surat and Thiruvananthapuram.
विश्व बैंक द्वारा "भारत में लचीले और समृद्ध शहरों की ओर" शीर्षक से रिपोर्ट जारी की गई। इसे आवास और शहरी कार्य मंत्रालय (MoHUA) के सहयोग से तैयार किया गया था। रिपोर्ट में 24 भारतीय शहरों का अध्ययन किया गया, जिनमें विशेषतः चेन्नई, इंदौर, नई दिल्ली, लखनऊ, सूरत और तिरुवनंतपुरम शामिल हैं।
