1. The global gender difference report of the World Economic Forum is ranked 131th out of 148 countries in 2025, two places below the previous year. With a equivalent score of just 64.1%, India is one of the lowest ranked countries in South Asia. Bangladesh has emerged as the best performing country in South Asia, which ranks 24th.

2. Michigan -based Otolaringologist Dr. Srinivas Mukkamala has
created history as the first person of Indian origin to be elected president of
the American Medical Association (AMA). He will work as the 180th President of
the organization, AAMA. AAMA established in 1847 is the largest union of
physicians and medical students in the United States.

3. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has confirmed
that the Boeing 787-8 aircraft registered as VT-AB were operating AI-171 for
Gatwick Airport, when it crashed immediately after the departure. The aircraft
had 2 pilots, 10 cabin crew members and 230 passengers.

4. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has made a
new UPI payment system compulsory for all registered middlemen who have
collected funds from investors to increase the safety and financial
transparency of investors in the securities market. The Integrated Payment Interface (UPI) payment system will be
implemented from 1 October 2025.

5. Nvidia will build its first artificial intelligence cloud
platform for industrial applications in Germany. The technology, which combines
AI with robotics, will help carmakers such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz with
processes ranging from simulating product design to logistics management.

6. The Ministry
of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has planned to launch a study called CROPIC
using field photographs and AI-based models to collect crop information. CROPIC
stands for 'Collection of Real Time Observation and Photographs of Crops'.
Crops will be photographed four-five times during their cycle and the
photographs will be analysed to assess their health and possible mid-season
damage.

7. The first joint military exercise, “Tiger Claw” between the
Indian Air Force and the United States Air Force Special Forces concluded
successfully at the Garud Regimental Training Centre. The Indian Air Force
Special Forces are also known as Garud. The Tiger Claw exercise was conducted
across North India.

9. The great Kabir Das was born on the day of Jyeshtha Purnima,
hence his birth anniversary is celebrated every year on the day of Jyeshtha
Purnima. Bir Das ji was a poet and social reformer who tried to end many of the
ostentation, discrimination and hypocrisy prevalent in the society through his
couplets. Kabir Das was a great saint of the 15th century who gave many
messages to the society through his devotional and Sufi traditions.

10. SBI General Insurance, one of India's leading general insurance
companies, has appointed Mohammad Arif Khan as its Deputy Chief Executive
Officer. SBI General Insurance Company Limited was founded in 2009. It started
operations in 2010 and is headquartered in Mumbai, India. It is a joint venture
between State Bank of India (SBI) and Insurance Australia Group (IAG).
