1. India's first underwater museum and artificial coral reef will
be developed around the decommissioned warship INS Guldar near Nivati Rocks
at Vengurla in Maharashtra's Sindhudurg district. The initiative, supported by the
central government, aims to promote marine conservation and tourism, including
scuba diving and future submarine trips.

2. The Siamese Fireback, the national bird of Thailand, has been
spotted for the first time in the forests of Ranikhet in Uttarakhand.
Scientific name: Lophura diardi IUCN status: Least concern, though facing
moderate decline due to habitat loss and poaching.

3. The Bureau of Financial Services Institutions has recommended R Doraiswamy for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), replacing interim CEO Satpal Bhanu. Doraiswamy, currently MD at LIC from September 2023, brings over three decades of experience in operations, marketing, technology and academics to the role.

4. In a significant move to enhance its tourism appeal globally,
Maldives has appointed Bollywood superstar Katrina Kaif as its Global Brand
Ambassador. The initiative aims to enhance the visibility of Maldives as a
luxury travel destination, especially among Indian and global audiences, at a
time when bilateral relations are witnessing new momentum.

5. Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA)
successfully raised ₹2,200.75 crore through a Qualified Institutions Placement
(QIP) in June 2025. The company issued 12.15 crore equity shares at an issue
price of ₹165.14 per share, comprising face value of ₹10 and a premium of
₹155.14.

6. The first
State and Union Territory Participation Workshop was held under the National
One Health Mission (NOHM) to chart a collaborative path to strengthen India's
integrated One Health approach. The workshop was chaired by the Principal
Scientific Advisor (PSA).

7. There has been tremendous growth in the field of social
security in India in the last decade. According to the latest report of the
International Labor Organization (ILO), while only 19% of the population was
covered under social security in 2015, this figure has increased to 64.3% by
2025. Labor Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, who arrived in Geneva, called it the
fastest growth in the scope of social security in the world.

8. “Empower citizens, expose corruption”- The full bench of the
Lokpal of India has adopted the new motto in place of the old motto. The
current chairman of the Lokpal is Ajay Manikrao Khanwilkar. The Lokpal has
jurisdiction over the Central Government, anyone who is or has been the Prime
Minister, or a Minister in the Central Government, or a Member of Parliament,
as well as officers of the Central Government under Group A, B, C and D.

9. Indian Army contingent reached Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia today for
the multinational military exercise Khaan Quest which is scheduled to be held
from 14 to 28 June 2025.The exercise first started in the year 2003 as a
bilateral event between the United States and Mongolian Armed Forces.
Subsequently, from the year 2006, the exercise got converted into a
multinational peacekeeping exercise and the current year is its 22nd edition.

Navigation Aids Organization (IALA), actively participated in the 2nd Session
of the IALA Council held in Nice, France. The IALA Council is the principal
decision making body of the inter-governmental organization responsible for
