It is equipped with multi-influence sensors, allowing it to react to a combination of acoustic, magnetic and pressure signals of enemy ships, making it a potent deterrent in modern naval operations.

2. INS Sharda arrived at Mafilafushi Atoll, Maldives for a week-long Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Exercise. The exercise enhances interoperability between the Indian Navy and the Maldives National Defence Force in disaster response and humanitarian efforts.

3. The Union Home Ministry has directed states to conduct mock drills to assess civil defence preparedness. The exercises will include testing air raid warning sirens, training citizens and students on emergency protocols, and practising evacuation plans.

4. India's first mortgage-backed pass through certificate (PTC) structured by RMBS Development Company got listed on the National Stock Exchange. The PTC is backed by a pool of housing loans from LIC Housing Finance with a fully subscribed amount of 1,000 crore.

5. The scheme aims to provide immediate, cashless medical treatment of up to ₹1.5 lakh to accident victims across India, covering the first seven days after an incident. Effective from May 5, 2025, this initiative is a significant step towards inclusive and accessible trauma care on Indian roads.

6. According to the UNDP Human Development Report 2025, India is set to move up to 130th place out of 193 countries on the Human Development Index (HDI) in 2023. This represents a three-place rise from its 2022 rank of 133. India's Human Development Index (HDI) has increased by over 53% since 1990, higher than the global and South Asian averages.

यूएनडीपी मानव विकास रिपोर्ट 2025 के अनुसार , भारत 2023 में मानव विकास सूचकांक (एचडीआई) में 193 देशों में से 130वें स्थान पर पहुंच गया है । यह 2022 की 133वीं रैंक से तीन स्थान की वृद्धि दर्शाता है।1990 के बाद से भारत के मानव विकास सूचकांक (एचडीआई) में 53% से अधिक की वृद्धि हुई है , जो वैश्विक और दक्षिण एशियाई औसत से अधिक है।

7. Rajasthan is set to be a part of India's pioneering cheetah reintroduction initiative by co-developing a 17,000 sq km wildlife corridor with Madhya Pradesh. The move aims to link key reserves such as Kuno, Gandhi Sagar and Mukundra Hills to provide free passage to cheetahs.

9. Operation Hawk 2025 is part of the CBI's ongoing efforts to tackle online child sexual abuse cases with international ties. Earlier, the CBI had launched Operation Carbon (2021) and Operation Megh Chakra (2022), which focused on identifying and apprehending suspects involved in similar crimes in various jurisdictions.

10. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the seventh edition of Khelo India Youth Games in Patna, Bihar through a virtual platform. The 27-medal event will run till May 15. With over 10,000 participants, the event is Bihar's first major multi-sport event.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने वर्चुअल प्लेटफॉर्म के माध्यम से बिहार के पटना में खेलो इंडिया यूथ गेम्स के सातवें संस्करण का उद्घाटन किया। 27 पदक वाले ये खेल 15 मई तक चलेंगे। 10,000 से अधिक प्रतिभागियों के साथ यह आयोजन बिहार का पहला प्रमुख बहु-खेल आयोजन है।
