3. India attracted a record USD 81.04 billion in foreign direct
investment (FDI) in FY 2024-25, up 14% over the previous year, driven by a
liberal policy regime and robust inflows into the services and manufacturing
sectors. The services sector emerged as the top recipient of FDI equity in FY
2024-25, attracting 19% of total inflows.

8. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved an
increase in the Minimum Support Price, MSP, of fourteen Kharif crops for the
marketing season 2025-26. The highest increase in MSP over the previous year
has been recommended for nigerseed (Rs 820 per quintal), followed by ragi (Rs
596 per quintal), cotton (Rs 589 per quintal) and sesame (Rs 579 per quintal).
