1. Bihar has taken centre stage in India’s agri-food exports with the start of the International Buyer-Seller Meet (IBSM) 2025 in Patna. Organised by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) in collaboration with APEDA, TPCI and the Government of Bihar, the two-day event aims to boost food exports, facilitate global trade linkages and highlight the rich agricultural potential of the state.

2. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched the Indira
Soura Giri Jala Vikasam scheme from Macharam village in Nagarkurnool district.
Under this scheme, tribal farmers will get free solar pumps of 5-7.5 horsepower
for irrigation of horticultural crops.
तेलंगाना के मुख्यमंत्री ए. रेवंत रेड्डी ने नागरकुरनूल
जिले के माचाराम गांव से इंदिरा सौरा गिरी जला विकासम योजना की शुरुआत की। इस
योजना के अंतर्गत आदिवासी किसानों को बागवानी फसलों की सिंचाई के लिए 5-7.5 हॉर्स
पावर के मुफ्त सोलर पंप मिलेंगे।
3. The World Health Organization (WHO) has awarded India the
certificate of elimination of trachoma as a public health problem at the 78th
World Health Conference held in Geneva. On 8 October 2024, WHO declared that
the Indian government has eliminated trachoma as a public health problem.

4. India won the South Asian Football Federation Under-19
Championship by beating Bangladesh 4-3 in a dramatic penalty shootout. In the
final played at the Yupia Outdoor Stadium in Arunachal Pradesh, India tied the
scores 1-1, forcing the match to go into a penalty shootout.

5. The Himachal Pradesh (HP) government has formally designated
the Tsarap Chu Conservation Reserve (CR) located in Spiti Valley (HP) as
India's largest conservation reserve under Section 36A (1) of the Wildlife
(Protection) Act, 1972.
हिमाचल प्रदेश (एचपी) सरकार ने वन्यजीव (संरक्षण) अधिनियम
1972 की धारा 36 ए (1) के तहत स्पीति घाटी (एचपी) में स्थित त्सराप चू संरक्षण

6. The national annual cyber security conference, CERT-In SAMVAAD
2025, was inaugurated at the Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay in Mahabalipuram,
Tamil Nadu on May 19. The conference aims to strengthen India's cyber security
audit ecosystem and enhance the capabilities of listed audit bodies through
discussion, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

उद्घाटन 19 मई को तमिलनाडु के महाबलीपुरम में रेडिसन ब्लू रिसॉर्ट टेम्पल बे में
हुआ। सम्मेलन का उद्देश्य भारत के साइबर सुरक्षा लेखा परीक्षा पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र
को मजबूत करना और चर्चा, सहयोग
और ज्ञान साझाकरण के माध्यम से सूचीबद्ध लेखा परीक्षा निकायों की क्षमताओं को
बढ़ाना है।
7. The Reserve Bank of India on Monday said it has cancelled the
licence of Lucknow-based HCBL Sahakari Bank as the bank does not have adequate
capital and earning prospects. Every depositor will be entitled to receive
deposit insurance claim amount of up to Rs 5 lakh on his/her deposits from the
Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC).

बीमा और ऋण गारंटी निगम (डीआईसीजीसी) से अपनी जमाराशि पर 5 लाख रुपये तक की जमा
बीमा दावा राशि प्राप्त करने का हकदार होगा।
8. The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved Bajaj
Group's purchase of 26% stake each in Bajaj Allianz General Insurance and Bajaj
Allianz Life Insurance from Allianz SE for Rs 24,180 crore. The deal will take
Bajaj Group's ownership to 100%. The CCI has also approved Bajaj Finserv's
purchase of 50% stake in Bajaj Allianz Financial Distributors from Allianz.

दे दी है। इस सौदे से बजाज ग्रुप का स्वामित्व 100% हो जाएगा। CCI ने बजाज फिनसर्व द्वारा एलियांज
से बजाज आलियांज फाइनेंशियल डिस्ट्रीब्यूटर्स में 50% हिस्सेदारी खरीदने को भी
मंजूरी दे दी है।
9. Delhi Games 2025 was inaugurated at Talkatora Stadium in New
Delhi. More than 22,000 athletes are expected to participate in 20 sporting
disciplines during the Delhi Games.
