Government of India has recently expanded the Credit Guarantee Scheme for
Startups (CGSS) to enhance financial support for early-stage companies. The
maximum limit of guarantee cover has been increased from ₹10 crore to ₹20 crore
per borrower. The guarantee coverage is now set at 85% of the default amount
for loans up to Rs 10 crore. The coverage is 75% for loans above Rs 10 crore.

10. The Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Project in Sichuan, China is
nearing completion. The dam is set to be the world's tallest dam, with a height
of 315 metres. It has a storage capacity of 110 million cubic metres and aims
to generate 2,000 megawatts of electricity annually. It originates from the
upper reaches of the Dadu River, which flows from the Tibetan Plateau to the
Sichuan Basin.
