1. Levy (Verb) : जुर्माना लगाना, कर लगाना : To impose or collect a tax, fee or fine (that you have to pay to a government or organization:)

Synonyms: tax, charge, impose, collect

Antonyms: exempt, waive, abolish, cancel

Example Sentence: The government decided to levy an additional tax on luxury goods.

2. Gauge (Verb) : मापना : to calculate an amount, especially by using a measuring device; to make a judgment about something, usually people's feelings

Synonyms: measure, calculate, determine, assess, appraise, evaluate.

Antonyms: estimation, guess, speculate

Example Sentence:  We need to gauge the amount of work required before committing to the project.

3. Battered ( Adj.) : क्षतिग्रस्त: hurt by being repeatedly hit; damaged, especially by being used a lot

Synonyms: beaten up, damaged, worn out, weathered, dilapidated

Antonyms: undamaged, unspoiled, new, pristine

Example Sentence: The old, battered car was still running, but it was clearly on its last
legs.

4. Stranded (Adj.): फंसा हुआ : unable to leave somewhere because of a problem such as not having any transportation or money (lacking what is necessary to leave a place or to get out of a situation)

Synonyms: marooned, stuck, abandoned, isolated

Antonyms: rescued, assisted, aided

Example Sentence: The travelers were stranded in the desert when their car broke down.

5. Virulence (Noun): अनिष्टकरता : the danger and speed of spreading of a disease; very strong feelings of hating or opposing something or someone

Synonyms: toxicity, malignancy, bitterness, acrimony

Antonyms: harmlessness, benignity

Example Sentence: The virulence of the virus made the disease very dangerous and
deadly.

6. Periphery (Noun) : परिधि : the outer limit or edge of an area or object

Synonyms: edge, boundary, margin, fringe, rim

Antonyms: center, core, middle

Example Sentence:The new factory will be located on the periphery of the city.

7. Proximity (Noun): निकटता : Nearness; the state of being close to something in space, time, or a relationship.

Synonyms: Closeness, Propinquity, Approximity, Adjacency

Antonyms: Distance, Remoteness, Faraway

Example Sentence: The proximity of the beach to our hotel was a major selling point.

8. Regime (Noun) : शासन, व्यवस्था : a government, especially an authoritarian one; a particular way of operating or organizing a business, etc

Synonyms: administration, rule, routine

Example Sentence: The new regime promised to bring about significant changes in
the country's political and economic systems.

9. Pivotal (Adj.) : महत्वपूर्ण, मुख्य : Of crucial importance in relation to the development or success of something else. Being the central point or axis around which something revolves

Synonyms: essential, important, central, critical, significant, fundamental

Antonyms: insignificant, unimportant, peripheral, minor

Example Sentence: The CEO's decision was pivotal to the company's success.

10. Apprehensive (Adj.): आशंकित, चिंतित : anxious or fearful that something bad or unpleasant will happen

Synonyms: anxious, worried, concerned, uneasy, nervous

Antonyms: confident, assured, calm

Example Sentence:  She was apprehensive about the outcome of her exam.
