1. Advent (Noun): आगमन: the fact of an event happening, an invention being made, or a person arriving

Synonyms: arrival, appearance, beginning, onset

Antonyms: departure, disappearance, exit

Example Sentence: Life was transformed by the advent ofthe steam engine.

2. Grotesque (Adjective): विलक्षण : strange and unpleasant, especially in a silly or slightly frightening way; wrong or unfair to a shocking degree

Synonyms: ugly, loud, harsh, disgusting, unpleasant

Antonyms: normal, aesthetic, attractive, beautiful

Example Sentence:When the psychologist heard some of the grotesque details of the murder, he realized that it had to have been the work of a psychopath.

3. Herald (Verb) : सूचना देना : a sign that something will happen, change (something important, and often good, is starting to happen)

Synonyms: signal, indicate, announce

Antonyms: hide, keep secret

Example Sentence:The speech heralded a change in policy.

4. Debacle (Noun) : a complete failure, especially because of bad planning and organization

Synonyms: fiasco, failure, catastrophe

Antonyms: success, triumph, accomplishment

Example Sentence: The company’s new product launch was a complete debacle.

5. Foment (Verb): भड़काना : instigate or stir up (an undesirable or violent sentiment or course of action)

Synonyms: provoke, incite, trigger

Antonyms: calm, cease, depress, constrain

Example Sentence: Despite popular beliefs, the police are here to keep people calm, not to foment violence.

6. Menace (Verb) : खतरा : danger, or someone or something that is likely to cause harm

Synonyms: threat, danger, peril, risk, hazard

Antonyms: guard, protect, save

Example Sentence: Once the baby learned to walk, he became a menace who pulled down every item he could reach.

7. Perturb (Verb) : make (someone) anxious or unsettled

Synonyms: anxious, trouble, nervous

Antonyms: calm, compose, quiet

Example Sentence: News of the arrest perturbed her greatly.

8. Skating On Thin Ice (Idiom) : doing something that is dangerous or involves risk

Synonyms: taking a gamble, asking for trouble, adventure

Antonyms: walking on eggshells, cautious

Example Sentence: He's skating on thin ice by lying to the police.

9. Supersede (Verb) : स्थान लेना : take the place of (a person or thing previously in authority or use); to replace something, especially something older or more old-fashioned

Synonyms: replace, supplant, take the place of

Example Sentence: The theory has been superseded by more recent research.

10. Anon (Adverb): शीघ्र: soon or in the near future; (a writer whosename is not known), usually  written at the end of a piece of writing

Synonyms: soon, shortly, in a little while

Example Sentence:  I’ll see you anon.
