1. Formidable (Adjective) : दर्ज: causing you to have fear or respect for something or someone because that thing or person is large, powerful, or difficult

Synonyms: terrifying, frightening, intimidating

Antonyms: comforting, hopeful, positive

 Example Sentence:Walking across a four-lane highway with my eyes closed is a formidable challenge!

2. impetus (Noun) : प्रोत्साहन: something that encourages a particular activity or makes that activity more energetic or effective

Synonyms: encouragement, stimulus, momentum, catalyst

Antonyms: disincentive, discouragement, hindrance, deterrent, impediment

 Example Sentence: The high crime rate was the impetus for the hiring of one hundred new police officers in our city.

3. Apartheid (Noun): रंग-भेद : a system under which people of different races were kept separate by law, and white people were given more political rights and educational and other advantages

Synonyms: segregation, discrimination, racism,

Antonyms: integration, union, impartial

Example Sentence: Nelson Mandela helped to end Apartheid, which was racial discrimination in South Africa.

4. Pertinent (Adjective): उचित : relevant or applicable to a particular matter; apposite

Synonyms: relevant, applicable, important, appropriate

Antonyms: irrelevant, impertinent, inapplicable, inappropriate

Example Sentence: To ensure a prompt reply, please include all pertinent details in your email.

5. Pandemonium (Noun): हंगामा: wild and noisy disorder or confusion; uproar. 

Synonyms: disturbance, turmoil, stir

Antonyms: calm, rest, tranquility, peace

Example Sentence: There was pandemonium in court as the judge gave his summing up.

6. Flimsy (Adjective) : कमजोर: comparatively light and insubstantial; easily damaged

Synonyms: fragile, insubstantial, gauzy, feeble

Antonyms: sturdy, substantial, durable

Example Sentence: The storm flattened the flimsy wooden huts that the villagers lived in.

7. Scrawled (Verb) : write (something) in a hurried, careless way

Synonyms: scribble, write hurriedly, write untidily

 Example Sentence: Someone had scrawled all over my notes.

8. Mushy (Adjective): excessively sentimental; soft and pulpy

Synonyms: sentimental, mawkish, emotional, soft, squashy

Antonyms: unsentimental, hard-edged

 Example Sentence: 1. I hate those mushy love stories.

2. After cooking the peas for too long in a crockpot, the  mushy vegetable was too soft to be delicious.

9. Propitiate (Verb) : शांत करना: to lessen the anger or agitation of

Synonyms: appease, placate, conciliate

Antonyms: anger, antagonize, infuriate

 Example Sentence: After Bill forgot his wife’s birthday, he tried to propitiate the situation by purchasing her the pearl necklace she always wanted.

10. Dunce (Noun) : मूर्ख : a person who is slow at learning; a stupid person.

Synonyms: fool, idiot, simpleton

Antonyms: brainy, genius, intellectual

Example Sentence: Because it takes me a long time to solve problems, I am a dunce at mathematics.
