SSC conducts "Selection Post" Recruitment examination for recruiting eligible candidates from 10th,12th and graduate level for various posts. SSC Selection Post 2023 examination would be conducted for Eastern Region, Central Region, Karnataka, North Eastern Region, Northern Region, Kerala Region, Madhya Pradesh Sub-Region, North Western Sub-Region, Southern Region & Western Region.

How To Apply

SSC Selection Post Apply Online 2023

Step 1: Open the official website of SSC i.e., www.ssc.nic.in

Step 2: Then click on the "Register Now" button to register yourself in case if you are applying for first time by providing all the details such as contact number, email id, name etc.

Step 3: The generated Registration Number and password would be sent to your registered mobile and mail id.

Step 4: Now Log in using this Registration Number and Password by visiting the homepage & fill all the remaining details in the application form and then click on submit button.

Step 5: Finally, upload all the mentioned documents in the prescribed format & proceed for the payment of application fees.

Step 6: Take some printouts of the completely filled application form along with fee receipt for future use

SSC Selection Post Syllabus 2023

Indicative Syllabus for Matriculation level

General Intelligence: This section would include questions of non-verbal kind. It will also include questions on space visualization, similarities and differences, problem solving, decision making, visual memory, analysis, judgment, discriminating observation, figure classification, relationship concepts, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The test will be designed to test the candidate’s ability to deal with abstract symbols and ideas and their arithmetical computation, relationship, and other analytical functions.

General Awareness: Questions will be designed to check the general awareness of environment and its application to the society. Questions will also be asked to check the knowledge about current events and of such matters/issues of everyday observation & experience in their scientific aspects. This exam would include questions concerning to India and neighbouring countries pertaining to History, Economic scene, Culture, Sports, Geography, General Polity including Indian Constitution, Scientific Research etc. These questions will not require any special study of a discipline.

Quantitative Aptitude: This paper shall include questions relating to Number Systems, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Computation of Whole Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Averages, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Interest, Profit and Loss, Mensuration, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, Time and Distance, etc.

English Language: The Applicant’s understanding of Basics of English Language, its vocabulary, sentence structure, grammar, antonyms, synonyms and its correct usage, etc. Candidates writing ability will also be tested.

Indicative Syllabus for 10+2 (Higher Secondary) level

General Intelligence: This section will include questions from both verbal and non-verbal type. Questions will be asked from Symbolic operations, Semantic Analogy, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Space Orientation , Trends, Figural Analogy, Semantic Classification, Venn Diagrams, Symbolic/Number Classification, Figural Classification, Drawing inferences, Punched hole/pattern-folding & unfolding, Semantic Series, Number Series, Embedded figures, Figural Pattern – folding and completion, Figural Series, Problem Solving, Emotional Intelligence, Critical Thinking, Word Building, Coding and de-coding, Social Intelligence, other sub-topics, if any Numerical operations.

Geometry: Familiarity with elementary geometric figures and facts: Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, angles subtended by chords of a circle, tangents, common tangents to two or more circles. Algebra: Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds (simple problems) and Graphs of Linear Equations. Mensuration: Quadrilaterals, Triangle, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Circular Cone, Right Prism, Right Circular Cylinder, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Sphere, Hemispheres, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square, Base Trigonometry: Trigonometry, Trigonometric ratios, Complementary angles, Height and distances (simple problems only) Standard Identities etc., Statistical Charts: Use of Tables and Graphs, Pie-chart, Frequency polygon, Bar-diagram, Histogram

English Language: Fill in the Blanks, Spot the Error, Synonyms/ Homonyms, Antonyms, Idioms & Phrases, Spellings/ Detecting Mis-spelt words, One word substitution, Active/ Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/ Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Improvement of Sentences, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Comprehension Passage, Cloze Passage.

This component will include questions based on analogies, space visualization, similarities and differences, spatial orientation, analysis, judgment, problem solving, decision making, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, visual memory, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, arithmetic number series, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc. The topics are, Semantic Analogy, Figural Analogy, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Semantic Classification, Symbolic/ Number Classification, Semantic Series, Number Series, Figural Classification, Word Building, Coding & de-coding, Figural Series, Problem Solving, Numerical Operations, Trends, Space Orientation, symbolic Operations, Space Visualization, Venn Diagrams, Punched hole/ pattern –folding & un-folding, Drawing inferences, Figural Pattern – folding and completion, Indexing, Date & city matching, Address matching, Classification of centre codes/ roll numbers, Small & Capital letters/ numbers coding, decoding and classification, Embedded Figures, Emotional Intelligence, Critical thinking, Social Intelligence etc.

English Language: The Candidates’ ability to understand correct English would be tested, his basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would also be assessed. The questions asked in Parts A, B, & D will be of Graduation level and questions asked in Part C will be of 10th standard level.
