    Answer Key-

    1-Sol-(3)

    (I) x2 + 11x + 30 = 0

    x2 + 6x + 5x + 30 = 0

    x(x+6) +5(x+6) = 0

    (x + 6) (x + 5) = 0

    x = -6,-5

    (II) y2 + 7y +12 = 0

    y2 + 4x + 3y + 12 = 0

    y(y+4) +3(y+4) = 0

    (y + 4) (y + 3) = 0

    y = -4,-3

    y > x

    2-Sol-(5)

    x = 5, y =

    Relation can't be established

    3-Sol-(3)

    (I) 2x2 + x -1 = 0

    2x2 + 2x -x-1= 0

    2x(x+1) -1(x+1) = 0

    (x + 1) (2x-1) = 0

    x = -1, 1/2

    (II) 12y2 -17y +6 = 0

    12y2 - 9y -8y + 6 = 0

    3y(4y-3) -2 (4y-3) = 0

    (4y - 3) (3y - 2) = 0

    y = 3/4,2/3

    y > x

    4-Sol-(5)

    (I) x =

    x = 161

    (II) y = +161

    hence , x= y

    5-Sol-(3)

    On solving] x = -2, y=8/3

    y > x

    6-Sol-(2)
    Total ways =

    7-Sol-(5)
    Number of bags = = 28

    8-Sol-(3)

    9-Sol-(4)
    Speed =

    = 10 m/sec.

    Length of train = 10 × 10

    = 100 m.

    x = 30 sec.
