Q. 9. A cistern has two pipes connected with it. One can fill it with water in 8 hours and other can empty it in 5 hours. In how many hours will the cistern be emptied if both the pipes are opened together when 3/4 of the cistern is already full of water?

Let the number of votes enrolled be x. / माना पंजीकृत मतों की संख्या x है ।

Votes cost/ डाले गए मतों की संख्या = 80% of x/ x का 80% =

Valid votes/ वैध मत = 80% of / का 80% =

Votes of successful candidate/ जीते हुए उम्मीदवार के मत = 52% of /का 52%

2. Sol. (D)

Let the quantities of P and Q in the Jar be 5x litres and 2x litres respectively.

माना जार में P और Q की मात्रा क्रमशः 5x और 2x लीटर है ।

Liquid P in 14 litre/14 लीटर में द्रव P की मात्रा = = 10 litre/ लीटर

Liquid Q in 14 litre/14 लीटर में द्रव Q की मात्रा = = 4 litre/ लीटर

45x – 90 = (14x – 28) + 98

31x = 160

x = 5.16 litre/ लीटर or/या 5 litre/ लीटर

Liquid P in the jar was/ जार में द्रव P था = (5 × 5) = 25 litre/ लीटर

Let the height of Alpha tower be x meters.

माना अल्फा टावर की ऊँचाई x मीटर है ।

140 × x = 180 × 70

माना वे A से x किलोमीटर की दूरी पर मिलते हैं ।

Time taken by A to cover x km/ A से x किलोमीटर की दूरी तय करने में लिया गया समय

= Time taken by B to cover (800 – x) km/ B से (800 – x) किलोमीटर की दूरी तय करने में लिया 

गया समय

60x = 40 (800 – x)

60x = 40 × 800 – 40x

100x = 40 × 800

x = = 320 km/ किमी

9. Sol. (B)

Emptied part in 1 hour, when both pipes are open together/1 घंटे में खाली किया गया भाग, जब दोनों पाइप एकसाथ कार्य करते हैं =
