National Sports Awards 2021: The President of India Ram Nath Kovind gave away the National Sports Awards 2021 on 13th November, 2021at a specially organized function at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports announced the National Sports Awards on 2nd November 2021. National Sports Awards are given every year to recognize and reward excellence in sports. A large number of nominations were received for these awards this year, which were considered by the Selection Committee headed by Justice (Retd.) Mukundakam Sharma (former Judge of Supreme Court), consisting members from eminent sportspersons and persons having experience in sports journalism & sports administrator etc.
राष्ट्रीय खेल पुरस्कार 2021: भारत के राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने 13 नवंबर, 2021 को राष्ट्रपति भवन में आयोजित एक विशेष समारोह में राष्ट्रीय खेल पुरस्कार 2021 प्रदान किए। युवा कार्यक्रम एवं खेल मंत्रालय ने 2 नवंबर 2021 को राष्ट्रीय खेल पुरस्कार की घोषणा की थी। राष्ट्रीय खेल पुरस्कार हर साल खेलों में शानदार प्रदर्शन के लिए प्रदान किए जाते हैं। इस साल इन पुरस्कारों के लिए बड़ी संख्या में नामांकन प्राप्त हुए, जिस पर न्यायमूर्ति (सेवानिवृत्त) मुकुंदकम शर्मा (उच्चतम न्यायालय के पूर्व न्यायाधीश) की अध्यक्षता वाली चयन समिति द्वारा विचार किया गया। चयन समिति में प्रमुख खिलाड़ी, खेल पत्रकारिता का अनुभव रखने वाले व्यक्ति और खेल प्रशासक आदि शामिल थे।
- This year Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award has been given to 12 sportspersons. Those sportspersons awarded with Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna are Tokyo Olympic Gold Medalist athlete Neeraj Chopra, Tokyo Olympics Silver Medalist wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya, Boxer Lovlina Borgohain, Hockey player P. R. Sreejesh and Manpreet Singh, Para-Shooters Manish Narwal and Avani Lekhara, Para-Athlete Sumit Antil, Para-Shuttlers Pramod Bhagat and Krishna Nagar, Cricketer Mithali Raj and Footballer Sunil Chhetri.
- इस वर्ष मेजर ध्यानचंद खेल रत्न पुरस्कार 12 खिलाड़ियों को दिया गया है। मेजर ध्यानचंद खेल रत्न से सम्मानित खिलाड़ियों में तोक्यो ओलंपिक में स्वर्ण पदक विजेता एथलीट नीरज चोपड़ा, रजत पदक विजेता पहलवान रवि कुमार दहिया, बॉक्सर लवलीना बोरगोहेन, हॉकी खिलाड़ी पी आर श्रीजेश और मनप्रीत सिंह, पैरा-शूटर मनीष नरवाल और अवनी लेखरा, पैरा- एथलीट सुमित अंतिल, पैरा-शटलर प्रमोद भगत और कृष्णा नागर, क्रिकेटर मिताली राज और फुटबॉलर सुनील छेत्री शामिल हैं।
- 35 sportspersons have been honoured with Arjuna Award this year. Those received the award in this category include Para-Paddler Bhavina Patel, Para-Archer Harvinder Singh, Athlete Arpinder Singh, Sabre Fencer Bhavani Devi, Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, Tennis Player Ankita Raina, Shooter Abhishek Verma, Mallakhamb player Himani Uttam Parab and Boxer Simranjit Kaur. 18 Hockey players including Birendra Lakra, Rupinder Pal Singh, Amit Rohidas, Vandana Katariya and Monika and Para-Badminton player Suhas Yathiraj.
- इस वर्ष 35 खिलाड़ियों को अर्जुन पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया है। इस श्रेणी में पुरस्कार पाने वालों में पैरा-टेबल टेनिस खिलाड़ी भाविना पटेल, पैरा-तीरंदाज हरविंदर सिंह, एथलीट अरपिंदर सिंह, फेंसिंग खिलाड़ी भवानी देवी, क्रिकेटर शिखर धवन, टेनिस खिलाड़ी अंकिता रैना, निशानेबाज अभिषेक वर्मा, मल्लखंब खिलाड़ी हिमानी उत्तम परब और मुक्केबाज सिमरनजीत शामिल हैं। इस साल कौर बीरेंद्र लकड़ा, रूपिंदर पाल सिंह, अमित रोहिदास, वंदना कटारिया और मोनिका तथा पैरा-बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ी सुहाश यतिराज सहित 18 हॉकी खिलाड़ियों को अर्जुन पुरस्कार दिया गया है।

Oushep and Radhakrishnan Nair P, Cricket Coach Sarkar Talwar, Hockey Coach Sarpal Singh and Pritam Siwach, Kabaddi Coach Ashan Kumar, Swimming Coach Tapan Kumar Panigrahi, Boxing Coach Sandhya Gurung, Para- Shooting Coach Jai Prakash Nautiyal and Table Tennis Coach Subramanian Raman have been conferred with Dronacharya Award by the President.

- Dhyan Chand Award for Lifetime Achievement in Sports and Games has been given to Lekha K. C. for Boxing, Abhijeet Kunte for Chess, Davinder Singh Garcha for Hockey, Vikas Kumar for Kabaddi and Sajjan Singh for Wrestling.
