(A) 60

(B) 16.67

(C) 25

(D) 30

Answer key:

1. Sol. (A)

Let total work is L.C.M. स.म. = 60 units/इकाई

A alone can complete the work in 20 days/ A

=> A's efficiency/ A की दक्षता = 60/20 = 3 units/day/इकाई/दिन

Similarly B's efficiency/ इसी प्रकार B की दक्षता = 60/20 = 3 units/day/इकाई/दिन

Now, (A + B)'s 5 day's work/ अब, (A + B) का 5 दिन का कार्य = (3 + 2) × 5 = 25 units/इकाई

Now, 35 units of work is completed by C alone in 14 days.

=> C's efficiency/ C की दक्षता = 35/14 = 2.5 units/day/इकाई/दिन

Days required by C alone to complete the work/ C

= 60/2.5 = 24 days/दिन

2. Sol. (B)

Let total work be 1 unit and P and Q complete 5/12th part of the work.

=> Work done by R/ R द्वारा किया गया कार्य = 1 – 5/12 = 7/12

=> Ratio of work done by (P + Q) and R/ (P + Q) और R के कार्य का अनुपात = 5: 7

=> R's share/ R का हिस्सा = [7/ (5 + 7)] × 48000

= 7 × 4, 000 = Rs.

3. Sol. (B)

Sum of two parallel sides of a trapezium/

=> Area of trapezium/

= (1/2) × (sum of parallel sides/ समांतर भुजाओं का योग) × h

=> (1/2) × (h) × (70) = 350

=> h = 5 × 2 = 10 cm/ सेमी

4. Sol. (B)

Let amount of the bill/माना बिल की राशि = Rs.

I: Amount after discount of 35% / 35% की छूट के बाद राशि = 100x – {(35/100) × 100x}

= 100x − 35x = 65x

II: Amount after first discount of 20%/ 20% की पहली छूट के बाद राशि

= 100x – {(20/100 × 100x}

= 100x − 20x = 80x

Amount after second discount of 20%/20% की दूसरी छूट के बाद राशि = 80x – {(20/100) × 80x}

= 80x − 16x = 64x

According to question/

=> 65x − 64x = 3

=> x = 3
Amount of the bill/ बिल की राशि =100 × 3 = Rs.

5. Sol. (A)

Let cost price of the article/ वस्तु का लागत मूल्य = Rs.

=> Marked price/ अंकित मूल्य = 100 + {(40/100) × 100}

= 100 + 40 = 140

Discount/

=> Selling price/ विक्रय मूल्य = 140 – {(40/100) × 140}

= 140 − 56 = Rs.

Loss/ हानि % = [(100 – 84)/100] × 100 = 16%

6. Sol. (B)

Let the two numbers be and respectively.

=> 99x
2 = 6336

=> x
2 = 6336/99 = 64

=> x = 8

Smaller number/

7. Sol. (C)

B invested Rs. 90,000 for 12 months and D invested Rs. 80,000 for 8 months. / B

Ratio of profits of B: D/ B: D

= 108: 64

At the end of the year, they will share the profit in the ratio = 27: 16

8. Sol. (B)

Average of 9 numbers/9

Total sum of the numbers/

New included number/

New average/

9. Sol. (A)

Let cost price of 1 m cloth/1 मी कपड़े का लागत मूल्य = Rs. / रु. x

and selling price of 1 m cloth/ और 1 मी कपड़े का बिक्री मूल्य = Rs. / रु. y

=> Profit by selling 50 m cloth/50 मीटर कपड़ा बेचकर लाभ = Rs. / रु. 50 (y – x)

According to question/

=> 50(y − x) = 20x

=> 5y − 5x = 2x

=> 5y = 2x + 5x = 7x

=> x/y = 5/7

Let/ माना x = 5 and/ और y = 7

= [(7 – 5)/5] × 100 = 2 × 20 = 40%

10. Sol. (D)

Cost price of articles/ वस्तुओं की लागत मूल्य = Rs.

and selling price/ और बिक्री मूल्य = Rs.

Loss percent/
